"I... You're my guardian. Usually. And kind of a mystery. But, deep down, I think you're my friend..." you say.
Waite sneers. "Hmph. Wrong." You find yourself slammed down again. "The correct answer is 'you are my master, Waite, and I your loyal and obedient pupil.' Understood?" Her voice sounds a little strange, but you can't quite put your finger on why.
After a few minutes, she finally lets you up. "Don't forget your place, Apprentice. Though I have to admit... hmph. Maybe once you've finished your training we can try being... friends."
...Is she... embarrassed? You have to be imagining it. Right?
Waite crosses her arms. "Go on, Apprentice. Don't you have something important to be doing right now?"
The time is 9AM.
(A) Check on Kumiko (B) Check on Rita (C) Check on Elise (D) Check on Gregory (E) Check on George (F) Check on Daniel (G) Sara was at the fort, right... (H) Where'd that one guy go? Bart or whatever. (I) Let's stay with Waite a little longer... (J) Naptime!

Hmm. Well it's not 11:00 yet...
We should probably recruit someone to help us with our dreams tbh. I would go for Elise, but she did just almost die before so...
Maybe....
E.
George I guess. He's usually rather eager to help.

You head back to the fort, hoping to get there in time to warn them about the incoming demons. From almost a mile away, you can tell something's wrong.
When you arrive, you find it's too late. The attack has already begun. Soldiers are lining up on the hastily-constructed walls as a wall of demons, more than you've ever seen in one place, begins to swarm towards the entrance. They keep pouring out of alleyways between tall buildings as they gather and attack in surging waves.
"Fire!" a man you've never seen before yells. The soldiers open up as the demons draw close, their bullets shredding through the horde. Countless fall, but more just keep coming to replace them. As the monsters close in, some of the soldiers begin to ready phones and summon their own demons. Their demons charge towards the horde, slowing them down.
You desperately search for any sign of Sara. You finally spot her, defending the main gate on the frontlines.
A few other demon tamers in the area have joined the fight, as well. You notice one that stands out. Elise is here, fighting her way through the street. She seems to be charging towards one of the alleyways for some reason, flanked by two demons. She's trying to gather the other tamers stuck out in the road to her.
(A) Go form up with the soldiers and make a defensive line. (B) WTF is Elise doing? That's insane... Go grab her. (C) Nope. Nope, nope, nope.

You force your way through the crowd - there's so, so many - trying to reach Elise. You finally manage to force your way over to her side. You demand to know what the actual f*** she thinks she's doing.
"I saw it... Some tossers in hoods. They crammed a bunch o' phones around in those alleyways. That's where these ruddy demons are coming from! We can stand around an' kill the bastards all the damn day but it won't make a lick o' difference if'n we don't take care o' the source!" Elise explains, in between grabbing a demon and punching it repeatedly in the face until it fades into data. "And those tossers in the base ain't gonna pull their heads out 'n' get off their asses to do it until it's too late! Now either help or get out o' my way!"
(A) OK, let's charge in! (B) It might give more time for demons to appear, but let's back off and call in the others first. (C) Uh, that's stupid. We should focus on defending the heavily fortified base until their numbers thin out first. At least the first wave. (D) Good luck! You're on your own. (E) I should call Waite to fix it. (F) You go in the front, I'll circle around and find another way into the alley.

"We'll attack it from both sides," you say.
"I s'ppse I'll be the one takin' the front," Elise says.
You nod.
"Wouldn' have it an' other way." She punches her fist into her palm, then charges forward.
As you move to circle around the enemy, you realize you should probably call in some backup. You don't have time to assemble a big group, but...
Choose 2. (A) Daniel (B) George (C) Gregory (D) Kumiko (E) Rita

You start sending out requests for help.
"I'm on the way!" Gregory answers, almost immediately.
"Already nearby," Daniel announces. "Be there in half a tick."
The two of them come running to join you, meeting up with you as you loop around on the far end of the alley.
The alley is crawling with demons. A dozen are already wandering around. A pair of Pyro Jacks with a beaver-like Afanc, Two Hanuman, each flanked by a pair of Barbatos... As you watch, a Wendigo surrounded by two spear-wielding Yomotsu-Ikusa pop out of a phone lying on the ground. One last group of demons seems to be standing guard over the phone. Two are large birds, Suparna. The leader is a humanoid demon in the shape of a winged, barefoot woman wearing a sheer orange dress and veil, hovering slightly above the phone. "Yes, come... Come, my brethren..." she mutters quietly to herself.
Elise arrives at the front of the alley, points at the phone, and signals for you to start the attack.
Elise, Daniel, and Gregory link their phones with yours and wait for you to assign demons. Two each...

Elise: Grey and Pyro Jack Daniel: Thor and Barbatos Gregory: Wendigo and Man in Black Hmm. Yeah, I cna support this line-up. Again, I don't know a ton about any of the demons, but this seems reasonable enough.

You pass out the demons. Everyone else is set, now all that's left is to pick your own... and decide on your strategy.

(A) Attack from both sides, rush that phone down! (B) Lure the enemy this way, try to make an opening for Elise to get to it (C) Wait until the enemy starts pressing towards Elise and the fort, then attack their rear (D) Wait and observe the enemy

Hmmm. I'll agree again. The demons, again, I don't know much about.
Strategy wise it's better to act as bait ourselves than make a friend do it.

Kira gives the signal for the others to attack and moves in. The Wendigo is the first to respond, blocking her path. Lailah tosses a knife at the enemy Ikusa, and Kira's Ikusa follows up with a series of stabs. The Wendigo punches Kira in the face, and she answers by spewing a pillar of flame at each enemy. One of the enemy Ikusa stabs Lailah with its spear. The other lunges at Kira, but she dodges out of the way and drains the last of its life into herself to heal her wound.
Daniel attacks the Wendigo while it's distracted. His Barbatos lays down a stream of cover fire while Thor calls down a lightning bolt. Daniel ignores the surviving Ikusa, settling on punching it really hard. The Wendigo flies back and dissolves into data, as does the Ikusa.
One of the Hanuman groups rushes Daniel. It smashes him very hard, sending him tripping over a trash can and crashing into the alley wall. One of the enemy Barbatos shoots him before he can recover. The second Barbatos takes a shot at Thor. Thor responds by dropping lightning on all the enemies at once. Daniel manages to recover, and spends a moment healing himself. Daniel's Barbatos takes a shot at the one who shot him, finishing it off. The Hanuman swings wide, striking Daniel and both his demons all at once.
The beaver and its Pyro Jacks start moving towards Kira. The other group being led by a Hanuman ignores the fighting, moving the other way down the alley, towards Elise. The winged dancer demon continues to hover in place over the phone.
(A) Signal Elise to attack the Hanuman (B) Have Elise hide behind a dumpster and let it pass (C) Have Elise rush towards the enemy commander (D) Have Elise use Grey to pull the enemy commander away from the phone
(1) Have Kira's group keep pushing forward (2) Have Kira's group drop back (3) Hold ground (4) Have Gregory use Abduction on the enemy commander
