I will say B. Fairy knigt FTW

Just as the tree crashes through the ceiling, a figure appears before you.  A pale young man in green armor hefts a spear, stabbing the tree in mid-air.  With some effort, he tosses the tree a few feet to the side.  It comes to a rest uncomfortably close by.

Before you can thank the fairy knight, he turns and levels his spear at your heart.  "My apologies, but your defeat earns my freedom.  Prepare yourself!"

Fortunately, your phone, lying on the nightstand, remained untouched in the chaos.  Bast chimes in.  "Oh, right.  Probably should have warned you about that."

"If you fail to prove your strength to this demon, he won't obey you.  In fact, he'll most likely kill you," Vorvadoss explains.

"But Vorvi, look what he did to that tree!  Kira, I don't suppose you're secretly some super-awesome knight, are you?" Bast asks hopefully.

"Of course she's not!" Vorvadoss barks.  He clears his throat.  "More importantly, Kira, don't let him intimidate you.  So long as you remain within a few feet of your phone, the Demon Summoning Application's Harmonizer sub-routine will let you fight on more even ground."

"Wow, what a mouthful!" Bast cheers.  "But Tam Lin's still a really well-trained warrior, and Kira already told us she's not much in the strength department.  This is going to be interesting!"

Before you can respond, Tam Lin thrusts his spear into your chest.  It... doesn't hurt as much as a spear-thrust should have.  Especially looking at what it did to the tree.  In fact, it doesn't leave much more than a scratch.  "Impossible!" the knight exclaims.

You take the chance to slug him in the face.  It doesn't seem to do much, other than annoy Tam Lin.  He returns the favor with another sharp jab, this time followed up with a sudden sweep with the tail end of the spear.  You see the thrust coming and manage to side-step, but you run right into his follow-up.  Again, you lash out weakly.  This time, your strike seems to stagger the green-clad knight.

"You've got about 60% of your health remaining!" Bast announces.  "He's at about 50%...  You're winning!"

"Surprising," Vorvadoss jeers.

"Impossible!" Tam Lin repeats.

"By the way..." Bast tell you.  "If you make a dash for your phone, he's probably going to smash you in the back.  But if you get a hold of it, we've got all sorts of fun magic spells you can try out!"

"Not that many," Vorvi corrects her.  "But enough for a beginner."

(A) Stand your ground and keep fighting

You ignore the voices calling over the phone, instead choosing to stay on the offensive.  Tam Lin stabs at you again, but again you manage to dodge it.  You have his rhythm now...  You close in, feint with a left hook, then drive your right knee into his side.  Tam Lin groans in pain, staggering back.  He unleashes a desperate flurry of thrusts, and you're forced backwards, taking a few scratches in the process.  You wait for his assault to diminish, then slip into an opening.  You manage to land another punch, and this time Tam Lin falls to his knees.

"You've... bested me.  Very well, I shall serve you," Tam Lin says, disappearing into a flash of light.  A second later, your phone's message alert beeps.

"You've got demon!" Bast announces.  "Tam Lin's now yours to do with what you will."

"Bast, don't encourage her to do anything foolish," Vorvadoss commands.

You walk over to your phone, checking the demon summoning app.  Several icons have appeared around the screen, though most are locked.  You check the two that aren't.  "Messages" and "Team."

"Allow me to explain," Vorvadoss begins.  "The demon summoning application will assist you in battle.  Aside from the harmonizer sub-routine, Bast and I will allow you to summon demons as well as cast spells."

"Go ahead and open up team, Sweetie!"  Bast orders.  You do it without even thinking about it.  Some kind of status screen is displayed.  Your picture is in a slot with two blank slots to either side.  A scroll wheel on the far right shows Tam Lin's face, alongside several empty slots.  "The DSA's awesome, but it has its limits!  First of all, it can only support 2 demons alongside each human at a time, though you can swap them out, even during battle!  But that won't be a problem right now, since you've only got the one.  Aside from summoning demons, the DSA lets you use awesome magic!  But, it can only register 3 active skills, 3 passive skills, and an auto skill for each human.  But you won't be able to swap them out in the middle of a fight.  And you'll have to be strong enough to even use the skills.  And they're pretty tiring to use, so-"

"She gets it," Vorvadoss interrupts.  "We'll keep track of your life and spiritual energy - your mana - during combat.  Go ahead and equip the starter skills.  There's only a few.  Oh, and slide Tam Lin into your team, as well.  By the way, don't worry about getting him killed.  The Summoning App will repair any damage to your demons over time.  Don't expect it to work in battle, but it should have enough time as you move around."

You equip the skills available.  Anger Hit, Agi, and Dia, as well as Dodge and Moneybags.  "Go ahead and give Dia a try!" Bast suggests.  "It's a simple heal spell, and you look a bit rough."  The phone switches to a different menu, letting you select Dia.  As you cast the spell, a green glow surrounds you.  Your wounds seal almost instantly, leaving only a few small scars.  "Wow, you're a natural!" Bast compliments you.

"Your magic is fairly impressive, for a beginner," Vorvadoss tells you.  "Your strength's not great, but you're pretty agile, and you should survive a solid hit or two."

"Anyway, that's all for now!  It's already a lot to take in, so we'll leave the rest locked until you get the basics down.  Aren't we sweet?"

"Did you get all that?" Vorvadoss asks.  "...If not, just scroll back up and read it again."

"So-o-o-o-o... whatcha gonna do now?" Bast asks.  "'cause this is all over the world.  You should probably get out there and toughen up a bit if you want to survive for long."

You spend the rest of the first day searching for your family in the center of town.  Unfortunately, regular phone calls no longer seem to be working.  Even landlines are useless.  And roads are an absolute disaster zone of crashed cars and wild demons.  You learn that anyone who fails in making their initial contract allows their demons to run free - and more than a few people seem to have failed.  The town is flooded with people making their way around town, searching for their own loved ones, looting supplies, or running from demons.  You get into a few fights, and start to figure out how the application works.  Tam Lin grows a bit stronger as he fights at your side.  He never shows any signs that he plans to attack you again.  Eventually, you return to your home on the town's edge, unable to make it very far.

"All done for the day?" Bast asks you.  "You did pretty good!  I'm impressed."

"You've got potential to be a great summoner," Vorvadoss compliments you.  "Now, rest."

"Oh, wait, before you head to bed!" Bast calls out.  "Those people you were trying to get to were your family, right?  Do you have anyone else you want to contact?  A boy, perhaps?  Hm-m-m?  ...I'm asking if you have a boyfriend."

(A) Nope, I'm all by myself.
(B) Yeah, but we're in a rough spot right now.
(C) We're engaged to be married in a few months!
(D) No, but I do have a girlfriend.
