"Pixie!"
Pixie darts forward, grabbing hold of George's phone hand. "Don't do it, Mister!" she begs him.
In his moment of hesitation, you manage to close the distance. You notice the currently selected skill on his phone, just waiting for confirmation: Desperation. You place a hand on his shoulder and shake your head.
The blond man stops for a moment. "My name's Gregory, by the way. I'd hate for you to continually refer to me as 'the blond man' or 'blondie' or something stupid like that. We'll meet again." With that, Moh Shovuu pulls him skyward, and he quickly follows the other fleeing Cobras.
"Well, that was... a kick in the teeth," George mutters, slowly regaining his feet. Angel touches a glowing hand to his forehead, channeling a healing spell. "That... feels nice, to be honest."
"So, what now?" Kumiko asks. "Are you going to reopen shop?"
"Nah, we need to fall back 'n' regroup. We'll give ya'll a ride a few blocks, getcha away from here 'n case they come back. And we owe ya some food fer yer troubles," George answers.
With just a bit of cajoling - the large group of demons coming to check out the disturbance helps - George manages to get you to agree to a ride. They drop you off a few blocks away with a few grocery bags. Kumiko was even able to get a bit extra for her parents. "No sense lettin' it go ta waste," George reckons.
"Wow," Kumiko mutters, looking into her bag. "Lettuce, tomato, bread... Even a bit of butter."
"Um... Thanks..." Rita says. "Whoa, is this... a carton of eggs?"
"Where... Where did you possibly get all this?" Kumiko asks in wonder, glancing at the several, several bags still in the back of the truck.
"Let's just say The Farm's had a good harvest this year," George answers. "Anyhow, this is far as we can take ya'll, so... Good luck to ya. Hope to see ya'll again."
As the Guardians' truck pulls away, you wave goodbye.
"Well... I got my food, so... I guess this is it for our partnership," Kumiko tells you. "Um... hm... OK. Hey, Bast, transmit my mail address to Kira for me?"
"You got it!" Bast's voice answers from Kumiko's phone.
"I got it, other me!" Bast calls from your phone. You still aren't used to this multiple copies thing... "Hey, Kira, you'll be able to message back and forth with Kira now, even with the cell tower things not working!"
"Oh... Um... Can you take mine, too?" Rita asks. "It would be nice to have someone to talk to sometimes..."
You exchange information with Rita and say your goodbyes. Kumiko heads back downtown to return to her family, and Rita heads back to her library fortress, along with a few spare batteries she recharged during the time before the Cobras attacked.
Fate with Rita Stellar reached stage 1!
Her Ice and Force resistance became strong.
Fate with Kumiko reached stage 1!
Her Fire and Electricity resistance became strong.
About Free Phase
With nothing pressing going on, you have a chance to meet up with some people you've met and try to build Fate, or simply explore town. Who knows what you might find? Unlike Investigations, all the locations will be chosen during a single vote, up to a limit based on when the next investigation/battle begins.
The current time is 10:30. You have time to visit three locations...

A stroll on the docks sounds like just the thing to help you relax a bit. Nothing quite like the gentle roar of the passing river.
The docks are a bit more dilapidated than you remember. Probably in party because of the many abandoned ships in the river, the one ship that has plowed through your favorite dock, and the handful of burned-out warehouses.
Well, whatever. You won't let the rampant destruction ruin your mini-vacation. Besides, you're starting to get used to it.
You carefully walk down one of the docks, hopping over a few holes and damaged spots from where small battles seem to have taken place. You reach the edge and take a seat. The water's running particularly high, and there aren't any demons around - none willing to pick a fight, anyway - so you kick off your shoes and let your feet dangle in the water for a bit.
"I wouldn't do that, Kira, you don't know what's in that river," Voradoss suddenly announces.
"It's fine, Vorvi, let her relax for a bit," Bast reprimands him.
You sit for a bit, enjoying the cool water and the warm Sun, watching a few clouds drift lazily by. Eventually you lean back, resting your head on-
Someone's standing at the edge of the docks, staring at you. No, not someone. Her. The one in your dreams, you'd know that face anywhere. When she notices you notice her, she gives you that same disturbing grin before turning and casually strolling away.
(A) Pursue her
(B) Calmly collect your things and leave
(C) Whatever, just pretend it didn't happen

Nope. Time to go. Nice and calmly. You slip back into your shoes and walk back towards the shore. The woman simply disappears behind one of the warehouses. You leave the area unmolested. You decide to check on Rita, make sure she made it back to her library OK. She didn't exactly strike you as... well, she seemed like a decent fighter, but you aren't sure she'd be willing to fight back if someone attacked her. You walk up to the library and climb the stairs. You pull open the wooden doors and step in. It's... dark. Very dark. You realize the window covers are all pulled shut. This place certainly looks abandoned. And creepy. Most people would just turn around and leave. Not a bad strategy, this would make a great hideout. You become aware of something slinking through the darkness. A quiet clicking noise in the background... A pair of glowing eyes suddenly appears, staring through the bookshelves. You're just about to leave very quickly when you realize it's Grey. You call out to him, and Rita, and suddenly you feel the world warp. You find yourself on the other side of the bookshelves, face to face with the squat little alien. "Kira? What are you doing here?" Rita asks. You explain that you wanted to make sure she made it back OK. "Oh... That's really nice of you! But you didn't need to come all the way out here for me. I'm fine. I... made it this far on my own, so... I'm fine!" She gives you a smile you suspect may not be completely sincere. You've got some time to chat, so... (A) Ask why she's holed up in the library (B) Ask where her family is (C) Ask about something lighthearted and random (D) Ask what her favorite book is Also, you've got enough macca to hire another few demons! Pick four. You ask Rita why she's chosen to hide out in the library.
"W-well... No one comes to bother me. No one would think to look in the library, right? I've got a nice little set-up... Blankets, pillows, a few vending machines that people overlooked, even working water and bathrooms! And, best of all, all the books I can read!" Rita becomes more enthusiastic as she rattles off the reasons.
You ask why she chose the library in the first place.
"O-oh..." Rita answers sadly. "Well... I was... I was here on campus for a summer camp when all this started... With a bunch of other kids..." She looks away sadly for a minute. "We were holed up in the dorms at first. I... We smashed up the stairs so it was really hard for demons to get in. And it worked really well until food started... um..."
She sniffs a bit. "We sent people out to find more, and... they didn't all come back. And then we sent them out again, and even less came back, and... and... They never sent me, because I could use Grey to pull people coming back up the stairs really quick if they were being chased or something, so... Um... Well... One day..."
You tell her she doesn't have to go on, but Rita shakes her head. She grabs her shoulders as she continues. "N-no, I... I want to tell someone. I haven't told anyone... One day, there were... So many flying demons just came in, and so many of us were gone, and... and we tried to fight, but... But... I just ran! I ran and left everyone! They're all dead, Kira, they're... they're all gone... And I couldn't... I couldn't do anything..."
You ask if Rita's OK. She shakes her head again. "No. No, I'm... not. I'll... never be, will I?"
You comfort Rita for a while, until she calms down.
"Thanks, Kira, I... I feel better with that off my chest." She wipes her face. "Um... I'm sure you're really busy, so..."
You say your farewells, then step out into the street.

You'll now unlock more skills when Rita joins you in a fight.
As you walk, you let yourself get distracted by the demon auction. You manage to find a few good deals. A fairy that looks like a bush with legs, and a... gargoyle-looking bird thing. You also grab another Lilim, but you notice she's not as strong as the sisters. And... Is that a catgirl? You snatch her up, paying a bit more than you really should've, just to make sure your bid wins. Now that you think about it, Gregory was using one of these...
While you were shopping, you absentmindedly made your way to the hospital. "Hey! You!" a familiar voice calls from behind the crude barricade. "Yes, you!" it calls again when you stop.
"I know you. You were with those Guardians earlier, weren't you?" Gregory asks. "Yeah, no use denying it. Come here. I want to have a word with you. Don't worry, I won't attack you or anything."
At Gregory's prompting, one of the guards lets you pass. You step into the compound and a chill runs down your spine. You feel as if someone... dangerous is watching you.
"You were pretty good earlier," Gregory mutters. "As a leader, anyway. I'd love to get another crack at that other guy, but you'll do. C'mon. Just a little sparring match. No demons. Just you and me. Skills and spells are fine. And we're even at a hospital. I'll even give you a guarantee that we'll patch you up after I break you. Let me blow off a little steam!"

Check the third tab for a list of available fusions. Ya'll need to come to a consensus about how many/which fusions to do. So, y'know, maybe use the discussion topic? Anyway. You'll need 6 demons to have a full team. Extras will be summonable if one falls in battle.

A. I doubt he wants to talk and maybe we'll learn something.
As for fusions, I'm really wanting that King Frost, Hee Ho.the only option for that right now is fusing Gagyson and Angel. And I doubt pixie is going to be helpful for much longer, so might as well fuse pixie and Lilim into another Gagyson better that than carrying around a weak demon. Besides, though the novelty is fun, we probably have enough Lilims.
Not sure how to vote that, so I'll just say Angel-Gagyson, and Pixie-Lilim.
