Fen-Fen, Dalamadur isn't that OP, nor is he the final boss. He's actually quite easy. Gog is the final urgent in 4U, and he is NOT easy, by any standards. Also, just fyi. There are some monsters your 'shonen' powers can't overcome. Heck, there are some monsters in 4U even I can't solo. Don't ever doubt me. Don't. This isn't arrogance talking, but I have really crazy damn determination. I don't give a hoot how many times I have to face you to beat you. I will. Eventually. I'll master the damn game if I have to. That's how seriously committed a gamer I am outside of school. There.Is.Not.A.Battle.In.A.Game.I.Haven't.Beat.Yet. I don't believe in that online crap. Makes stuff a little too easy. If you want to call yourself a veteran, you'd better back it up with some solo skill. "Master the game? Impossible! No one can solo!" Stuff people use. It takes patience, a good eyes, and determinator tendencies. Why am I resetting and trying so hard? I'm reenacting the final battle with Gore, where I didn't cart a single damn time. I'm going for that record to never cart on him or the rest of his crappy family again. That said, I don't do online because I'm a solo gamer. In games like this, it tips the balance to too easy. You can argue about it making the battles go smoother, but if this series is truly a game of skill, it takes some true dedication. I refuse to go online. Even if I'm struggling at my last whims and peace of mind. I don't gain permanent satisfaction from it. This shonen stuffs a joke, but not my persistence. Say what you want, but I don't break so easily. A break from frustration, yes, but you'd better believe I'm going to win eventually. I've faced harder monsters than the ones in the MH series. I'm well aware of the one-hit tendencies these monsters have at higher ranks. My solution? Get better until you can absolutely dodge, block, predict their next attacks. Perfection scores. You just have to plan carefully and think things out. |

Fen-Fen, some G-Rank monsters in 4U have too much HP to be repeatedly soloed. You may solo them once or twice, but even if you have Evasion+2 and are an experienced hunter who has fought the monster many times before, you still won't be able to dodge everything. Look what happened to GX and I with Shagaru, and what happened to me with Akantor. The monster will land a lucky hit or two, deal massive damage, force you to heal, combo you, and then eventually, you'll run out of time.
I'm not saying it's impossible to solo. I'm saying it's impossible to always solo, especially when you're a new player. You shouldn't doubt me, Fen-Fen. I know what I'm talking about.
And you haven't even begun to face the real monsters in this game. The game doesn't begin to get challenging until HR7.
Edit: Also, remember who you're talking to. I managed to solo all of Freedom Unite.

Me and GX are too different people. I'll never understand why people compare people to each other to this very day. You'll get very different results, I'm afraid.Run out of time? Plan a better strategy. Majority of games can be soloed. Developers don't make things intentionally hard for the giggles. They will always leave something to help you win. It may be large or very subtle.
My pal at school also soloed the entirety of Freedom Unite, and has years of experience in the series. I'm pretty sure if most of the monsters from that are returning, and he could do all that, then they've only slightly amped their strength.
If they get a lucky blow, too shay. Restart.
Point is: Online isn't really a thing for me. I crave challenges. I'll only team up if I'm interested in getting a certain drop; not because the monster is super strong. Everything has a weakness, and it applies to here from real life. You have to play smart and think meticulously. Nothing is impossible in this game.

There's a difference between "challenge" and "stupid".
As in, it's designed for multiplayer. G Rank?
You have no idea what G Rank is like.
There is no "Plan a better strategy" when it is literally impossible to deal enough damage to kill a monster by yourself within the time limit.
You don't play Metal Gear guns a-blazin'. You don't play Guitar Hero with your elbows. You don't play Final Fantasy by selecting random actions.

You'll get a fireworks show and defeat of it.
But I do want you guys to know I am serious.
Despite being new to the series, I'm confident it can be done.
I'm not looking for recognition or an award, but I do believe it can be done. Somehow. Took Edison countless tries to acheive what he did. Lincoln as well. I just think people just lost persistence over the years. Can't do something unless you put blood(figurative, of course.), sweat, and tears into something.

Edison stole most of his "inventions" and any history nut knows that Lincoln was kind of a dick, overstretched his authority, was racist, and very hypocritical. Also, he did nothing to actually free the slaves, illegally created West Virginia, made West Virginia a slave state, and didn't do much to help the Union. The man that really did a lot of that was Ulysses S. Grant, while not a very good strategist, was a very good motivator and leader to his men. |
