Golurk, you said KOing doesn't work by percentages. Do you know how it works then? I just assumed it went off the normal RNG.
And sorry for not communicating what I was going to do. For monsters that don't have breakable tails, I always use the full charge on the head, which if it connects, is almost an automatic KO with an Impact Vial CB. And if the monster is tired or wounded, it becomes easier to KO with the full charge.
The CB's full charge has the highest KO rating out of all the weapons, including the Hammer.

KO works like Poison or Exhaust.
Each attack has a set KO value (I can get in 20 per hit with a HH, which I can spam, and has two hits for one attack) that fills a monster's KO threshold. That threshold empties automatically every 10 seconds, and whenever a monster is KOed, it's resistance increases.
I think the Impact Phial from the CB can KO with the AoE.

Your Charge phial does 54 KO with the finisher, and 26 without the finisher. For reference, Rathian has a KO threshold of 150.
I also learned that the slam attack does not deal very good KO damage, which disappointed me, since it seems like it would do a lot.

And the KO threshold is lower if the monster is wounded or exhausted, right?
If the full charge alone does 54 KO, then the full combo with the Super Amped Phial probably does around 80-100 points by itself.

Also, I tried hunting Teostra, and carted cause I'm too tired to function. But I only have Teostra and Dah'ren left before I unlock the Dalamadur urgent.

HH I think is actually the fastest, being able to dish out two quick attacks, with a total of three hits, very quickly, each dealing 20, and it's infinite.
