I honestly don't know why he's so damn hard. Most of his moves are telegraphed a mile away. But I'm kinda terrified of the next urgent quest... If I can't defeat normal Gravios, a Black Gravios will utterly destroy me.

F*** this game. Seriously, just f*** this game. I barely beat that last quest when I shouldn't have had any trouble at all. It was a freaking Rathian and Rathalos, both with reduced HP, and I carted twice. I barely managed to cap them both, used all my healing items, and had less than five minutes left on the clock.
A f****** Rathian and Rathalos!!!!
And guess what I got for it?!!! 1 Inferno Sac!!!!!! ONE!!!! No gem, no plate, no anything, even though I literally broke everything on them both!!!
...... Screw this. I'm taking a couple week break from this BS game.

But that means we can't all go hunting together! Why not just take a break from HR stuff for a while?

But that means we can't all go hunting together! Why not just take a break from HR stuff for a while? Because I'm pissed off at the game as a whole, and the only stuff I need in LR is from Brachy. I'll still help you guys with quests, but I'm not doing anything solo for a while.

So... I learned a valuable lesson today: Don't play MH when you're exhausted, hungry, and grumpy, and expect it to go well. At least, not on the higher levels. I tried the same quest again, and everything went surprisingly well. So... Sorry about my earlier outburst. I didn't get much sleep last night.

I just did High Rank Daimyo Hermitaur.
That was a neat fight.
Then I did two High Rank Velocidromes, which was easy.

Okay! Now with Digi and Fen-Fen, we have an alternate for when someone can't hunt!

Though they still need to get to High Rank.
GX, have you hunted Shagaru yet?

Good luck.
There's a big rock in the middle of the arena. You can use it for cover, and I don't think it can break.

Yeah, the rock can break. Shagaru can break it with a charge, slam, or nuke when he's in rage mode. You wanna hunt something together after you finish, GX?
I'm having difficulty posting in OZ, and could use the distraction.

Circle pad bit it. I'll miss my 3DS. Had it since 11.

Tried connecting to internet tonight, briefly did it then switched off. Anger rose to high heights.
Also, how are you guys advancing through the story so fast? I'm only on the second village, Harth... Seriously, even Chrizzel is way past me. Aren't you stopping to grind for monster gear and upgrades?
On another note, what's the point of a set if it hampers resistance to certain elements? I mean getting the complete set of a monster.
Didn't understand it in 3U, and my friend told me to mix the monster gear to get balanced resistance. Good or bad advice?
And... You're right, Neo. 4U monsters have much higher damage than I thought. Seltas surprised me, and Yian was basically a smaller Rathian and Rathalos with a Qurupeco attack set in some cases.
Tetsucabra owned me because I dodged too late. Mounting is surprising easy to get the hang of. My Charge Blade skill is getting slowly better. Jumping is weird... Considering it's used so much compared to its predecessor.
Also, some of the weapons are advanced... For a modern day/tribal setting, Charge Blades and Switch Axes are awfully advanced. Sure, we can come close to making them IRL, but it's hard to nab the era the series is set in.

Sure, what will we be hunting?
And sorry about your 3DS, Digi.

Monster sets provide skills.
For example, full Tetsu armor provides a bonus to HP.
Plus, eating at the kitchen can boost elemental resistance.

Cleared it up for me. Guess I'll go for a full set of something. Tetsu first. Now, advancing the story so quick? Seriously... Everyone can clear three villages in half a day. Is it the online play?

No. Online clears no villages.
It's doing the quests that are vital to advancement.

Mix sets are only good if you know what to mix. That's way beyond your level, Fen-Fen. Actually... It's way beyond everyone's level, aside from me. I keep forgetting you've only played 3U, Golurk. But mixed sets do have the potential to be FAR better than full sets. For now though, you should stick to full sets.
I still need Inferno Sacs GX, so we could hunt Rathian or Gravios. I also need to hunt Lagombi so I can upgrade my Ice LS, and then I need to farm HR Zinogre so I can upgrade my Lightning LS.
