Off topic I know but well for all those that care But Arc V subs up. Neo Galaxy eyes Cipher dragon. Oh and Moofy is adorable and Monster hunters is amazing. ... Always wanted to try and get into it. For someone who never played a monster hunters game. Where's a good place to get started. Keep in mind I have a Vita and 3ds and a WiiU Monster Hunter Generations(The new one) or Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate are both good places to start. If you get Generations, you can play with the rest of us, and we can teach you the ropes. Okay might look into getting it. Been looking for a new game lately. |

YES! HA! TAKE THAT, YOU STUPID MAMMOTH!!!
So, it took me nearly 40 minutes and nearly all of my items, but I killed Gammoth in the Popo Tongue quest. And I didn't cart even once. Crow, to answer your earlier question, it's extremely obvious when Gammoth limps. So you just didn't do enough damage to him. Sorry.

Ohey. It's Electric Steve. Two flagship hunts in a row, this time on accident. I don't think I have another 40 minute long hunt in me though... So I'm just gonna try to avoid him. Stealth Egg missions. Still the worst quests in all of MH.

Soooooo... That was the most intense hunt I've had in I don't know how long. Probably since Akantor in Freedom Unite. My hands are shaking. Made Gammoth look like a Great Jaggi in comparison. She's fast, hard to hit, agile, moves around a lot, and can dish out a ton of damage. Used literally all of my healing items and towards the end of the fight, I was relying only on my Palicoes for healing. But honestly? She wouldn't have been nearly as hard 1V1. I managed to pick up her patterns pretty easily. No, what made the fight so goddamn difficult was the f****** Bulldrome. The quest is to kill the Bulldrome, so if it dies, you can't beat the real target. It has like 10 HP like all Bulldromes. The Bubble Dragon can nearly one-shot it. And the damn Bull follows you all around the map. It's literally designed to hound you everywhere just to make fighting the Bubble Dragon harder. And I only had 6 Dung Bombs. Now I have none. It was hell. Still, I managed to beat the Bubble Dragon. Hands down my favorite new monster. Gorgeous design, awesome theme, really cool attacks, and all around just fun to fight. But I still feel horrible for killing her. I even cut off her tail and broke her face and claws. The poor dragon was just minding her own business, not threatening anyone. I feel like I'm the real monster here.  i_i |

I didn't expect to win. Especially once I noticed I forgot the hot drinks.
If I'm going after him for real-real not for play-play, gonna need dat spiced meat, honey, demondrug, explosives for days... Probably even carry supplies to craft more in the field.

Probably even carry supplies to craft more in the field. I didn't carry anything special with me.  I really wanna farm Narga for his armor... But EVERYTHING unlocks at HR3. So many of the best monsters. Gore, Shagaru, Glavenus, Bubble Dragon, Electric Steve, Kushala, Teostra, and more. Including Gammoth. So that's the earliest you can really farm him, I think. The Popo Quest Gammoth is much stronger than normal. All the surprise Flagships are stronger than they are in their own quests. |

Mmph... Lessee. Each Rank is 5 quests... And I've done 1.
Maybe I'll just use a different axe.
It doesn't help that gammoth 2-shots Telly. Aeva can take 1 more hit.

For Bow, go Bushido. It's crazy good, giving instant Level 3 Charge on a successful insta-dodge. So long as I'm using Bnahabra as my gunner armor, I'm sticking with aerial. "Never stop shooting. And fly. Fly like a bunny-bird." |

I soloed a Tetsu with a new bow, and it wasn't too bad. I think I will switch, though total DPS is inferior to the HBG, but it was more fun to go Bow. HBG is really just being a turret, and I didn't like LBG when I tried it, though Aerial is probably fun for that with stuff like Rapid Fire Paralysis Shots.

It just took my 40 minutes to kill a Nibelsnarf with a Bow.
Never again. Especially when my Palicoes won't let me fish the damn thing out of the sand.

I got snowballed. So I ran to my Palico. And she just laid there like "tf you want me to do about it?" Utter indifference. They really nailed down the cat thing.
But she's always ready to smack Telly for goofing off. What a brat.

We all have 4U too, Mystic. And I know at least GX and I plan to play it again. But getting Generations instead is probably still the better idea since all of us are going to want to play Generations for a while.
