Oh. Just say Xehanort then. MX denotes the senior Xehanort though, who started the whole mess that is the KH plot. Plus, it's easier to type than 'Xehanort'. Get used to the lingo, you'll be seeing it a lot. If you're not sure what something is, I'll be glad to fill you in.

So sweet~
But let's focus. So, are we doing AU or pre-anything in KH so far?

FYI I know nothing about FF besides Tactics and Fenris called that one (though WoL and A2:GoR Tactics games are different worlds and A1 most likely doesn't exist anymore), I'm reserving a Seiken Densetsu (Mana series) world.
I just need to decide between Seiken Densetsu 3 and Sword of Mana, though both (moreso the latter) will require a lot of creative liberties since I'm still not quite sure what a Mavole is.
I could contribute to the current topic, but I'm out right now because Birthday and can only check in once in a while.

I don't think we're doing that anymore.

Villain wise can't we have MX or some other entity get in touch w/ the FF villains or the disney villians getting in touch w/ some of the FF villians.

We also aren't doing Disney stuff.
So far, we've decided on probably doing all KH and original stuff.

Alright, I'm gonna establish setting.
This will take place in an AU where Xehanort and Eraqus never existed (and without Disney, that meant there are NO Keyblade masters in the world). However, the Keyblade war still happened, and all the lore behind keyblades and light and darkness applies. None of the Kingdom Hearts series characters or canon exists so its worlds are just our playground.
Worlds: Destiny Islands Traverse Town Twilight Town Radiant Garden Land of Departure The World that Never Was
If that isn't enough (which I think it is): Final Fantasy/Square Enix based worlds Original Worlds
Heartless have only been a thing for the past few months/a year. They're everywhere, but they haven't completely consumed any worlds yet. Keyblades are largely lost art, but they are simply appearing before those with strong hearts to fight back the darkness. As for villains, we have boss heartless, possible sentient Nobodies, and I call dibs on Big Bad so I got that going.
Questions? Complaints?

And Keyblades can take a variety of forms, correct?

Yes, they can take any form with an appropriate keychain, which influences the shape of the Keyblade through the memories left in that keychain. Sora gets a new keychain in each world, and so the Keyblade changes shape to represent that world when that keychain is equipped. The Oathkeeper's keychain is the good luck charm he made with Kairi, etc.

A stick very practical for gaining rare drops, but still a stick!

I meant a completely different weapon style, like a battleaxe or something.

As long as I can weild a sword or a keyblade I am good. So what type of characters are we shooting for normal humans that can weild keyblades.
Why not just have separate 'species'? We have our normal humans who can weild key blades, a nobody subspecies, a sub heartless blend, etc. That way we can have a diverse cast of adventurers. Some people are going to want be keyblade weilders, some are going to want to be nobodies, etc.

Sure, Keyblade battleaxe, why not?
Playing a heartless is right out, but a Nobody could be arranged...maybe. I'd rather not but I suppose they're really popular.

Could we have weapons as diverse as Organization XIII's that are still Keyblades?
For instance, would a sort of boomeranging sphere that you spike at people be allowed? I'm just trying to find what level of stuff that you want.
