Well, the Keyblade is a single object so having a bunch of knives wouldn't work. But I can see it turning into a blitzball, why not? Strike Raid is a thing so a throwing-based fighting style isn't too out there.

As long as I can weild a sword or a keyblade I am good. So what type of characters are we shooting for normal humans that can weild keyblades. Why not just have separate 'species'? We have our normal humans who can weild key blades, a nobody subspecies, a sub heartless blend, etc. That way we can have a diverse cast of adventurers. Some people are going to want be keyblade weilders, some are going to want to be nobodies, etc. Let's not destroy KH canon, now. Just a suggestion. I for one just want to be a human who weilds a keyblade/ sword combo. Yet it seems others want to be a nobody or something along those lines. Why not just break off those type of things into different 'species'? Heck we could have the people that are nobodies want to take out the welders of the key blade. We do need a villian so it could give people who want to be villain a chance too do that? Not looking to destroy cannon just thinking of ideas. |

Nothing's wrong with being a Nobody if you can justify it. And go ahead and use a regular weapon too, nothing saying you can't. I've got a villain in mind, but if for some reason other people have a reason to swallow the world in darkness then go right on ahead.

Oh no I was going to go with a keyblade that can become a sword. I know I am going to be one of the good guys and I have an idea where I going with it. (Then again if you seen any of my other posts you know what I tend to do character wise). It was just for everybody else. Just trying to help  |

What about technically being indifferent to the conflict between light and darkness? Like a sellsword (I'm thinking akin to a Farina archetype), or maybe someone who just joins a side out of bloodlust and seeing one side as having more/better people to kill?

There is a keyblade called the Dream Sword which is literally a sword. I thought it'd be obvious you could do that haha.
A neutral character might be fine...the only issue is that keyblades only appear towards those with hearts strong in light or darkness. Eh, handwave. "My heart is strong for myself" is a good enough excuse, although bloodlust would be darkness.

But... can't we have dark weapons (as villains/antiheroes) or regular weapons (as whatever) too?
I mean, Riku with Soul Eater (I think that's what it was called) and Sqaull manage.

Oh, yeah that's fine. I thought you wanted to use a keyblade. You can be a badass normal, why not? I'm wondering what you mean by "dark weapons" if you don't mean a keyblade of darkness though. Soul Eater was like a premature keyblade of darkness.

Hmm that may work. I wouldn't say I have no knowledge of KH. But I haven't played every single game in the seris. Missed out on Dream Drive Distance, The other KH game on the DS not 358/2 days, and oddly enough didn't really get into 1. (Started w/ KH 2).

So how far back is this going. I know we said before Enrique and Xeno. so would that be pre Birth by Sleep then?

And I never really saw Soul Eater as a premature Keyblade, just like I don't see Axel's chakrams as premature Keyblades. So, I think that perception of "dark weapons" should give enough of an idea as to what I mean. |

Non of the series has happened so in a way it's pre-BbS, yes.
I thought that the Org XIII weapons were just magical normal weapons. Anyways, go ahead and use something like that if you want. Just justify your character having them.

I really just wanted to see how far we could go. The further we can go with s***, the more potential characters I can come up with.

Wait, Keyblades aren't the only things that can kill a Heartless, they're just the only thing that can purify the heart and restore the original.
