( Changed Charging Minotaur to Leading the Attack and target to alpha wolf) (Hopefully this works better for you O's. Also I noticed leading the charge was a stance that's why I changed it to leading the attacks)
Russell was going to go with his first option until he realized the alpha was within range not the lesser wolf. "Crois already tried to reason with you but that didn't work, sorry wolf but to protect my friends you must perish," Russell said with a hint of remorse as he readied his Leading the Attack strike against the alpha wolf.

Crois begins to doubt his defensive stance so he readies his sling and loads a stone.

Gildis takes aim at the Alpha Wolf and fires a bolt at him.

Okay... So I'm ready. Sorry it took awhile ----
With a snarl, a massive black wolf leaps from the darkness, charging toward Crois.
Russell steps in front of the injured Druid, shield raised, ready to take on the massive wolf. "Over here!" He shouts as the wolf charges. It leaps straight toward Russell, but yelps and falls like a stone as it is pelted by an onslaught of bolts, arrows, and well, stones. It growls, rising to its feet, a large gash oozing blood from his head. Before it can recover, Krista flanks around behind the wolf distracting it for a moment. A moment is all Russell needs. "Leading the Attack!" He yells bringing his sword down upon the wolf's neck, cleaving it in two.
(Gildis: 4 damage Azrael: 8 damage (CRIT) Malcolm: 4 damage Crois: 4 damage) Russell 4 damage
((Now, Golurk, you may notice that you should come before him in initiative. Your color spray would have blinded and stunned the alpha wolf for 3 rounds. But I didn't want you to waste your spell. I didn't think you'd want to waste a valuable resource on something that is about to die, since both light, and magic missile have been spent today.))

The final wolf dashes toward the group, but stops in its tracks as it sees it's leader's head leave its body. With a pitiful whine, the last wolf turns tail and flees north, running as fast as its legs could carry it (200 feet north)
End of encounter.

"I dare say that went smoother than I had expected." Gildis states. "Still, a shame that we couldn't turn them into our allies."

"I am glad to see everybody safe but I feel bad for the wolf," Russell said with a hint of sorrow. "Kind of wished we didn't have to come to this," Russell said while sheathing his sword.

"Yes, but why did they attack us in the first place? We outnumbered them two to one. They may be no more than beasts, but surely they knew the odds were not in their favor." Krista remarks.

Gildis shrugs. "Unless our druid got any clues earlier, then we may never know." He says. "We should take to better cover. The kobolds could be anywhere, and we didn't exactly dispose of the wolves silently."

"Maybe the wolves were a type of security system for the kobold?" Russell asked. "Wouldn't be the first time someone or something used wolves to 'patrol' the area while they were away or asleep" Russell said. "Then again its just a guess on my part," Russell said

"Let me think on this for a moment. Because I to find the wolves' behavior unsettling."

Azreal let's out a sigh as he twirls his crossbow. "So many lost bolts. I hope those Kobolds' pockets are better stocked than these wolves." He puts away his hand crossbow and pulls out a rapier in case of another ambush.

"On the plus side, we get some more meat." Anthor tried reminding the others before looking ahead. "Should we rest for a while, or keep going?"

"Perhaps we could use a chance to take ten and heal up." Gildis replies, using a common phrase for taking breaks in his village. "Can anyone do something about his wounds?" He looks at Crois.

"We shouldn't linger here." Crios states turning from his thoughts. "These wolves were answering to someone controlling them. I ashamed to say probably a fellow druid." He then adds dejectedly. "Wolves would not naturally attack a group our size, and if it were mere desperation they would have focused on Another." He states turning to the sorcerer. "No offense but with such a light build and no armor or shield you are the most vulnerable." Then turning back to the group. "Instead they targeted me throughout the fray the one least likely to be a threat to them, but most likely to be a threat to druid with sinister aspirations. Moreover the alpha flatly ignored my call which further supports the hypothesis that he was already being influenced." Then pausing. "With this in mind we need to move! The rival druid will be aware of what happened and very difficult to detect! We need to stay on the move or we will likely fall victim to another attack!" He finishes with urgency.

"Just fantastic. We have a crazed stalker following us through the woods and we can't even take a break to enjoy the night sky. Are you sure we volunteered for a hunt scout? Because right now this feels more like it will become an odd game of cat and mouse."

Russell goes over to Crois to give him some support.
"I wouldn't get to worried there partner," Russell told Crois. "You seen how we are slouches when it comes to battle," Russell went on. "Besides he should be the one that's worried," Russell said. "We are all here for the long haul and its going to take more then that to take us down," Russell said.

"You do know that a powerful Druid could easily destroy us all, right?" Anthor stared at Russell with disbelief. "We better hope he's not too adept."

"Why are you so high strung?" Russell asked. "If he was all powerful why would he bother with just wolves?" Russell asked. "Besides he would destroyed us by now if he really wanted to," Russell stated. "Which leads me to think two things?" Russell said. "Either he is weak or he is just testing us?" Russell said to the wizard.
"Besides I learned that the only thing I can control is what's happening in front of me,". "Makes no sense worrying about what may happen in the future," Russell stated.

"Or that they were his scouts and not an attack unit." Anthor answered. "They're fast and common, which makes for excellent first defenses. You know, the Druid might not even be hostile, and we were just invading his territory. The wolves just deemed us a threat and the Druid isn't even aware of our existence. I suggest that we continue on our current, less dangerous quest."
