Anthor's brain nearly began to melt as he struggled to process what was going on in front of him.

Stroking the neck of the hawk on his shoulder Crois turned to the blabbering crusader, "Red here is no mere pet, he is my companion, a partner on the druidic rode of which I tread. I would appreciate it if you would not demean him with the term 'pet' in the future." Then softening his expression he continued, "If you truly wish to bond with a creature of the forests though, I can give you this advice; the key to bonding with any creature is found in opening your heart to said creature. If you can truly do that then the creatures of the forest will come to you. Just be careful with it those most of the creatures of the wood are peaceful, there are some who are vicious or even cruel, just as it is with people." Then turning to the ranger, "I carry all I need on my back, I am ready to go at your leisure master scout."

"Geez are all magic types this uppity I was just trying to create small talk no need to get offended," Russell thought to himself. "Like that other uppity wizard staring at me," Russell thought while glaring at Anothor. "I get really shy and flustered around woman geez," Russell thought while annoyed with the wizard.
While Russell was in a trance he heard the ranger ask if everyone was ready? "I am ready to go whenever," Russell stated nonchalantly to the scout while waiting for the rest of the groups response.

"Hm, oh, pleasure to meet you, er, Russell... It is Russell, right?" Krista greets, noticing him speaking to her for the first time.
(I'm not sure what's funnier, Russell's antics, or the fact that having the third highest charisma score in here actually means most of the ladies he talks to will find him attractive and charming despite his complete bumbling. And where's a good bard when you need one?" That chair could use a good mend.)
--- "Hey!" calls out the gnome from his spot on the bar, "the cost to mend that chair is coming out of your pocket!" He yells, pointing at Russell.

"If we're staying the night, I have business to discuss with the innkeeper." Azreal states as Russel suddenly decided a stool was casting confusion on him. By the gods I hope I'm not near him in battle. Or even in battle to begin with. "Where did he go though?"

"Probably looking for a new stool," Malcolm shrugged. "How long do you think you'll take?

"Not long I assure you. It's simply a matter of receiving payment. Preferably in the form of win-er refreshments. Yes, that's what I meant. Winner refreshments."

"Get whatever you need. We'll be gone for a day or two at the most though, so don't pack too much."

"Hey scout master if you don't mind I will be outside need some fresh air," Russell said to the scout master. "Oh yeah gramps sorry about the stool I will pay for double its value before we leave," Russell said as he made his way outside. "Stupid church for not allowing girls in," Russell said to himself but in a soft voice. "The only females there were the nuns and they weren't particularly young," Russell continued. "I never been with a group before usually when the church needed us to do something we would do it alone," Russell said.
"Way to go Russell you met these people for a couple of seconds and already you made a fool of yourself," Russell sighed. "If only they knew how shy I really am and that I am honestly scared of talking to woman,". " I could face down an entire army of orcs, dragons, and whatever demon spawn in front of me no problem, " Russell said. "Yet when it comes to woman my mind turns to moosh," Russell said.
"This is why I left the church it was nothing but taking orders, prayers, studying, sleep," Russell sighed. "Whatever at least its a beautiful night outside I think I will enjoy the scene for a while," as Russell was just relaxing outside and enjoying the scenery.

Crois perks up his ears at the sound of talking coming from out side...

"Excuse me everyone Red here wants to stretch his wings, so I will presently step outside." Crois states, concealing his true motives with a half lie. (As it turns out Red had wanted go out flying for about an hour now, but didn't want to bother me. Such a considerate bird.) stepping out side Crois stepped to the side and held his arm out so Red would better be able to take off. Then he turned to the Crusader staring at the sky.
"Beautiful night isn't it sir crusader." Crois states to open conversation. He then begins scanning the area for something that Red can fly off to and bring back, while waiting for a response from the emotional swordsman.

As the music had begun dying down and the crowd's excitement came with it, many of the tavern's patrons would begin to notice a lull in the performances. Vocally.
"Oi! Where's the next bard?" "Aye, he should be on stage by now!" "Did something happen...?" "Wait, look up there!" "This is an outrage!"
For the few astute enough to notice or to heed a wiser man's words, they would look up to see a rope fluxing up and down in the rafters, the stocky bard rather precariously on the high rope standing roughly at a giant's forehead off the ground on the two inch strand. As more and more eyes follow the upward trail, a cocky smile can be seen flashing across the young man's face, just long enough for him to stumble slightly and catch himself on his next step toward the centre of the room. As he makes it into the middle of the room, he takes a stop and summons a small trumpet into his hands, playing it merrily, albeit not particularly well as he skips the rest of the way across the rope and turns, switching his musical performance to a more somber dirge as he takes to the other direction.
Many in the audience begin laughing and clapping, until the man nearly flips upside down, performing too more rotations in mid air and landing on the stage to take a bow. The audience lets out a collective sigh of relief and claps at the acrobat's performance, especially for the inhumanly graceful landing at the end.
Gildis walks off stage into the back room, taking his things and preparing to return to the inn. He stops on his way out next to a gathering crowd of would be adventurers. He had heard something about kobolds as he crossed the tightrope, but it seemed to have gathered an interest. Gildis takes to an outer wall, drowning out the commotion no-doubt caused by the animal trainer's squirrels to listen in on the conversation.

A sudden burst of laughter breaks out in the crowd as one man stands up on his table and begins to drunkenly sing a folk song played earlier in the night, drowning out the conversation of the adventurers. If Gild is wants to learn more, he will need to get closer.

Gildis sighs, shaking his head at the behaviour of the bar's patrons.
"Hoy there, lads and lady." He announces himself to the group, moving closer to them just as Crois takes his leave. "I overheard you speaking about some kind of job that needs doing. Something about Kobolds, yes? Mightn't a humble bard be such a liability that you would consider letting him tag along? I've some practical applications to be tested for my work, but going into those woods alone is no safe matter, why one man even told me..."
Gildis considers all of the things he's heard about the forest from locals, filtering the possible and the unlikely in his mind (Bardic Knowledge check.)

"Why, one man even told me that a pack of vicious wolves have been on the hunt in the area for the past couple of months. Going at night, if the kobold's parties don't get you, the native predators will." Gildis warns. "Of course, I won't just sit back and expect you to do all the fighting. I may not look like much, but I'm handy with a crossbow."
To accentuate the point, he gives the handle of the crossbow now tied to his belt a few loving pats.

"The more the merrier, I always say," Malcolm chuckles. "How about we all step outside and join our compatriots while the elf finishes his errand. Name's Malcolm by the way."

"I'm eager to be off, as well," Krista comments. I'll meet you all by the western gate if that is where we are leaving from."
"It is," Malcolm waves her off, "We'll join you shortly.
Krista nods, setting off west at a quick gate, slinging her Claymore higher up onto her shoulder.

"I'm blessed to have met such welcoming travellers." Gildis says humbly. "I am Gildis, by the way. A pleasure to make your acquaintances."
Although I hope they aren't overly welcoming. Cautious peers are a must as well.
He follows Malcolm and Anthor to the door.
