"Perhaps he's a threat, perhaps not." Krista says, sheathing her sword, "It would be best if we avoided him in either case. Anthor and Crois are right. We should keep moving."

"Don't forget one wolf fled. If it to was under influence then the druid will know of that skirmish. Moreover the alpha was under his control and it is now dead, he will have at least felt the connection being severed." Crois adds. "And like I said the wolves targeted me at their masters command, the only reason a druid would target another druid is if one of them was up to no good. It is thus safe to assume he is hostile, and as Another pointed out even a middling druid is a force to be reckoned with, especially one who would blithely sacrifice his charges. Challenging this druid would be foolish at this juncture, we must move on." Crois continues.

"Agreed, except for the fact that despite the intent of the Druid, attacking you would be the most beneficial tactical decision." Anthor pointed out as he looked around. "You are the most effective healer out of our group."

"Trust me on this. Druids tend to stick together as we are often mistrusted by the general populace. A druid would not attack a fellow druid in such a manner for tactics alone." Crois replies to Another.

"You're not listening." Anthor looks at Crois with an annoyed gaze. "Who's to say that he was directly controlling the wolves and that they weren't just scouts. He could give them long-term commands for defense and such."

"There's no point in arguing it." Gildis states calmly. "Woulds and coulds aren't of essence right now. We'll find out this foe's motivations if our paths cross again I'm sure."
He casually rests his crossbow over his shoulder, looking around the lit area for clues of kobold presence (Search.)

Gildis fails to find anything. If any signs of the Kobolds were there, they were destroyed during the wolf attack.
"If we're all ready to move on, we should get going," Malcolm says, slinging his bow over bis shoulder. If we want to get to the kobold camp at dawn, we're going to need to keep moving. We can rest once we've cleared out all of the scalies once and for all."
---- Dawn, a new day approaches. The sky continues to brighten, yet the sun has yet to peer over the tree tops. The trees have only continued to grow in height and girth as the adventurers continued their quest deeper into its depths. Malcolm led them forward with full confidence, his lantern lighting the way for them as they journeyed onward. Without warning, he stops in his tracks, forcing all of them to do otherwise...
"This is it," Malcolm whispers. "He creeps forward through the underbrush where suddenly the trees ended. 300 square feet where all of the trees had been reduced to stumps. In the center, it dropped away steeply on all four sides leaving a 1000 square foot hole, the center of a once prosperous quarry and mine of times long past. Now nature had taken over, as even though all that remained of the trees were stumps, patches of dark underbrushed speckled the entire quarry, everywhere the sun touched.
(Spot checks) Two kobolds are clearly visible patrolling the western edge of the quarry. They don't see the party... Yet.
"There should be about a half dozen kobolds hiding out in this quarry," Malcolm whispers, "the way down could be on the western side, but I'm not certain. You could spend some extra time skirting around the outside of the quarry to get in position, but if they spot you, they're going to sound the alarm. So be careful. I'm circling south, but in a minute, I'm attacking with or without you all, so be quick about it."

"Just let me know when you are ready," Russell said as he was hiding amongst the trees staying perfectly still.
(Do I need to do any checks if I don't move from where I started and stay perfectly hidden amongst the trees. I figured if I tried to move my armor could generate a loud noise spooking the kobold.)

If you move into position, you'll need to make a move silently check. If you stay where you are, you're fine. If the encounter starts and the kobolds are not aware of anybody, we get a bonus round.

So are my chances decent (better then 50/50) that I don't make noise if is I will move into position and do the check. If my chances are horrible then I will stay where I am at. (How would I determine my chances anyways are they on the character sheet and just look up a skill?)

(Going to go ahead and do the move silently check)
"Hmm we are not that close it couldn't hurt to move closer and into position," Russell said while moving slowly towards the kobold.

"Idiot." Anthor muttered under his breath as he saw the Kobolds react to the sound of Russell stepping on a branch.
Anthor began to rub some dirt on his face and stumbled forward into the view of the Kobolds while shouting.
<Draconic>"Help! Please, help me! I was patrolling with my friend Pun-Pun when I when we were suddenly attacked! I-I was struck with a polymorph spell so that I couldn't warn you of a group of powerful warriors on their way here! The changed me into one of them so that you wouldn't believe me and then try to kill me! Please, we must fortify our defenses! I need to speak with all of you so that we can prepare for their attack!"<Draconic>

The shorter kobold gasped. <draconic>"That's terrible!, he exclaimed, "we need to warn the High One. Follow us poor comrade."
"Wait," the tall gray one interjects, holding out a clawed hand. "Would you mind if I speak with my brother for a minute?"

<Draconic>"By Tiamat's five heads we need to hurry!"<Draconic> Anthor exclaimed as he shifted to a slightly more primal stance in order to imitate the way Kobolds walk.

Distracted by Anthor, the Kobolds don't hear Gildis as he stealthily climbs a tall evergreen up to a sturdy lower bough, ten feet off the ground.

<draconic>"This will just be a minute," he says, dragging the other kobold behind him toward the edge of the quarry."
"Are you stupid or something? The tall kobold whispers loudly, his voice carrying clearly to Anthor's position, "don't tell me you're falling for this, Nup-nup."
"But Sutil, the High One wants us to look out for adventurers, and he found adventurers!"
"He is an adventurer you dolt! We're supposed to be the only band this far south of the lake, amd have you ever heard of a kobold named Pun-pun?"
"...no."
"Good, now here's what we are going to do. We're going to pretend that we believe him, and when he comes over, we bash his skull in, got it?"
"Okay, but if the High one is angry with us, I'm blaming you."
"and I'm blaming you." Walking forward again, he shouts to Anthor, "Okay, we'll take take you to our leader. Just come over closer to the edge of the quarry."<draconic>
"Subtle." Nup-nup mutters.
<draconic>"What?"
"nothing."<draconic>

<Draconic>"Hold on, since it's safer now that I'm here, I can tend to me broken leg."<Draconic> Anthor told them, figuring that the grey one spoke with the other one about him being a fake.
Anthor backed up a bit before sitting down just at the edge of the trees and pretending to try fix his perfectly fine leg as he placed a hand behind his back and whispered.
"Light." He spoke very quietly as he casted the spell on a blade of grass to signal the others.
