I mostly want the battle system because otherwise a high-tech setting gets really overpowered. The harder science you start using, the more drastic implications each breach of physics has. It'll need a healthy dose of story/gameplay segregation in that respect.

You don't necessarily need a battle system, but instead of treating individual characters against others, have it based on army size and conditions such as morale, terrain, hunger, disease, etc. For one-on-one battles, use a similar system if you want, but these would be much harder to do. You can forgo the system and just have it written without one for these, or use a sort of stat system for each officer to determine successful strikes, but this would make one-on-one battle take a very long time with two writers. Hrm... *Blood vessel explodes* Can't... Comprehend. Too... Tired. On a unrelated note, Game Informer gave ToX2 a pretty bad review. Hmm... But Dragon Age: Inquisition looks flipping awesome. |

But how much stock do you put into there reviews?
For games I am on the fence I use there reviews to at least make sure its playable. For some game I know I am going to enjoy (like when Dissida first came out for the PSP I think they gave it a score between 6 to 7) i get the game despite what they write.

Oh, I'll definitely still get ToX2, and they actually gave the game a 7.75. Which is actually quite good, they just said the game had some pretty bad flaws, and that it isn't as good as the first. And yes, I trust Game Informer's reviews. More so than just about any other source. |

I chose Clarinet because I just have some weird inexplicable stigma against flutes. It just seems so clichéd and such. I would be playing the F Horn (It's called the French Horn because idiots even though it's a German instrument and the Bflat horn is the French one) for my fifth year, but I had to drop Band in order to take Chem Lab for Honors Chem (which is infamously hard at my school). It doesn't seem inexplicable so much as it seems to be caused by smug. Have you been driving a hybrid or visiting San Francisco lately? |

It's just weird. I like most of the people who play in the flute section at my school, and I don't have any other reason to have such a weird stigma, so I don't know.

I've honesty forgotten most of the plot lines for TBtP by now.
As for LOTUS, I'm actually now thinking sort of like Metroid in terms of what you can do. Each character would have a basic attack (arm cannon, acid ball, etc.), two or three mobility ones (teleportation, jetpack, thrusters, etc.), a power attack (missile, charge beam, frost wave), a utility attack (bombs, traps, stuns), a mega attack (power bomb, stop time, etc.), and so forth. You'd get more abilities as you go on, and older abilities can get upgrades. As for use in combat, each ability has a certain number of times it can be used per encounter or group of encounters, except for a basic attack and te weaker mobility ability. Damage would be either set or dice rolls.

I am not really sure about any RP's still have like 4 I am doing right now and a cyoa that I am doing right now. I can not wait for the FF RP to start been looking forward to that one.  A while back I thought about a zombie apocalypse RP but there didn't seem to be much interest. Didn't King or somebody bring up a FE RP a while ago that sounds interesting. Could a Smash Bros. RP work? Also I guess a game of throne style RP would kinda be the same as a medieval theme RP? Finally Happy Birthday The Wonderful Wizard/ Butcher/ Dragonite of O's. |

Anyways, did you get the battle system Neo? It's only for army battles and not 1v1s. Though I guess for those you could just use a stat system and use RNG for winning. Stats could be speed, strength, skill, and endurance. Then you'd take into account weaponry and range.

A city worse than Gotham, a villain who considers his job being an enemy of the state, and a colorful cast of murderous mercenaries being mixed with an international organization of idealist crime fighters who dress as bats and an MI6 agent who will try to protect the crown from communist and terrorist. And the best part is it can take place anywhere in the world! |
