Background: An orphan in West Dragonstar, he survived under harsh conditions for the first several years of his life. As he grew older he sought an organization to help him hone his natural fighting talents, however the Fighters guild would not accept him since he had yet to accomplish any feats, so he instead went to the thieves guild where he harnesses the power of the bow. His preference for solo work kept him distant from the guild for the most part, so his sudden disappearance at the age of 28 went sorely unmissed. The reason for his leaving also went uninvestigated, as no gold or items were taken.
Bastin didn't leave because he felt he didn't belong or something like that. No, he left in search of the famed Auriel's Bow, which went missing shortly after the death of Knight-Paladin Gelebor along with two quivers of Sunhallowed Elven Arrows. He left to Skyrim through an abandoned smuggler's route and began his quest. Of course this expedition was going to cost him money, so while he hunted, he worked odd jobs and completed mercenary work for the highest bidder. For nine years he hunted it, and just as he got close to a possible location, the world got f***ed right in the a**.

Looks good. However, the existence of Gelebor and the Bow's residence should be completely unknown. It would be regarded as lost even before Gelebor died.

Well he doesn't know about Gelebor or Auriel's Chantry, he's only heard rumors of a 'bow that can harness the sun to vanquish evil' being sighted in various locations, and he wants to see this legend for himself. But now that the world's in peril it gave him renewed purpose in searching for the bow. I mention specifics in the description just to be clear on what I'm referring to. |
