Kiran walks over to Somnis "Hey. You're not going to cry, are you?
"Maybe..." Somnis mutters. "...No."
Kiran slaps her shoulder. "Good. You better not, or you'll mess up your paint. And then you'll just look silly. Y'know?" He gives her a goofy smile.
"...Snk." She chokes back a laugh. "You're right. Crying won't solve anything, will it?"
"Not a damn thing!" Kiran agrees. "Don't worry. We'll get her back. And Alice is going to be fine in the hospital. Er, probably. Maybe we should have someone guarding her..."
Somnis shakes her head. "Nah. The hospital's probably the safest place in the whole town." She seems a lot calmer. She wipes her eyes. "Thanks, Rocky."
"...I can't wait to get all this paint off."
Somnis looks over at Tia. "We might have some trouble convincing her to take hers off, though... Oh, hey. Did you remember to sign that banner?"
(A) Uh... Nope. Gonna go do that right now.
(B) Shouldn't I do it later? Gotta stay in character.
(C) Don't wanna.

Kiran goes over to sign the poster.
As soon as he's finished, Arcadia leans in over his shoulder. "Man, the property value on this banner's gonna plummet with your name on it, Kiran. Lemme counter that by addin' THE AWESOME ARCADIA'S autograph real quick." Arcadia puts on a sly grin, leaving a handprint on the poster and writing her name in extravagant cursive. "So, got plans for tonight? Maybe, like... I dunno, a date with someone or somethin'?" Arcadia sways back and forth while humming to herself, obviously expecting some sort of answer.
(A) Yep! With you. Let's go!
(B) Yep! Not with you, though. (pick someone)
(C) Holy crap, you're talking to me?
(D) Nah, I'm just going to ______ (choose one of your usual options)

"Yeah, sorry. I'm waiting on a call from this really awesome girl I just met. She's really cute and kinda... quirky, but in a cool way, y'know? Anyway, I'm gonna take her out for dinner. Take it slow and a bit more serious instead of just flirting." Kiran nods sagely. "So I'd love to hang out, but... Oh. So, uh, know where you want to go for dinner?"
"That's what I wanna hear!" Arcadia ponders aloud, pressing a finger on her cheek. "What I'm thinkin' is, if someone wants to make a real good impression? Those fancy restaurants in Vitcity would totally hit the spot."
"How fancy we talkin'?" Kiran asks. "I should have plenty of cash so long as we don't go to one of those five-star places you need a 10-month reservation to get into. Though if we're going somewhere nice I need to run home and wash up."
Arcadia shrugs. "I dunno. Just someplace kinda nice where I can get stuffed with some good grub for a night, not expectin' anything too wild. You got a nice face and all goin' on for you, but I ain't starin' at it for a whole date without any good nosh to go with."
(A) Wow, OK, rude. I'm outta here.
(B) Change of plans, I'm cooking for you!
(C) BURGERS!
(D) Buffet!
(E) Asian?
(F) Somewhere kinda nice but not super fancy

"Well... Got it! Here, hang on." Kiran texts Arcadia an address. "Meet me there in... an hour? Yeah, that'll work. It's a decent place, but not so fancy you have to get rid of that sick-ass facepaint. You should be good to go."
Kiran heads home, washes off the bodypaint, and heads out just as Tia and Somnis are showing up. Tia seems... kind of upset, but Somnis gives Kiran a look that says she'll handle it. Herself. Without Kiran's help. So he heads downtown.
He shows up at the burger bar to find Arcadia waiting. She's washed off that rad face paint, sadly. He still greets her warmly. "Hey! Hope you like burgers. Sorry I'm late. Have you been waiting long?"
"Nah, showed up right before I got bored." Arcadia says, looking about and scoping the place out. "Eh. It ain't any KBBQ or a buffet or nothin', but this'll do ju-u-u-ust fine. Better hope you got a full wallet and an empty gut, Kiran!"
Whenever they get their food, Arcadia gets like 8 stacked burgers and a platter of steak fries...
(A) "Wow, this is... disgusting to watch, but morbidly fascinating."
(B) "So, where're you from?"
(C) "Seen any good movies lately?"
(D) "Any plans this week?"
(E) "Wanna talk about the otherworld?"
(F) "So how do you feel about me?"
(G) "What's your favorite animal?"
(H) (Buckle down and start trying to prove you can out-eat her)

Kiran sits down across from Arcadia with a more reasonable amount of food. "So, uh... Where are you from?" he asks. "I feel like I should've seen you around town by now."
"Where I'm from?" Arcadia scarfs down bites of a burger between her thoughts. "Depends on what part of my life you're askin' about. My real hometown's some gusty city in the north, but I never knew it all that good. See, my old man's a kingpin of an underground crime op. No big deal, honestly. But one day when I was still young, he called it quits. Ever since, we've just been movin', goin' from place to place and never settlin' down. To be honest, this town's prolly just another short-term stop 'til my dad gives the same ol' speech and moves us again. Lame as hell, but that's how the cards fell. How 'bout you, pretty boy? Where you from?" Arcadia's already on her second burger at this point.
"I'm from around here. Been here all my life. Dad travels. A lot. For work. But I don't... Huh. Y'know, I'm not sure I've ever left the city," Kiran says. "But, uh, back up for a second? Are you sure it's OK for you to mention your dad's a... what, like, a mob boss? Jeez. I don't need to worry, do I? He won't, say, have me killed for talking to you?"
Arcadia laughs. "What, you scared my old man's gonna have you swimmin' with a bag of stones 'round your neck or somethin'? Ha! Nah, you're fine. He pulled lots of strings to get out of that game, the coward. But see, once this school thing's wrapped up, Imma start it up again. I'll get a crew, then I'll run the greatest crime op this world'll never see. Say... if you ever end up livin' in a ditch, you should join my crew! Love that magician thing you had goin' on the other night. Where'd you learn that from?" Arcadia is dual-wielding burgers at this point.
(A) I have no idea.
(B) Join your crew? Heck yeah.
(C) I should... I should go. Now.
(D) So there's a chance you'll just up and disappear from my life someday?
(E) Forget all that, how are you eating so much?
(F) Why would you want to be a criminal?
(G) When I'm living in a ditch? I'll never be living in a ditch! How dare you?

Arcadia flashes a crafty grin. "That's what I like to hear! Once we graduate- or, more likely, you graduate while I prolly drop out early- you'll be set for life! No backin' out, you hear?" Arcadia gives a hearty laugh, chomping down on another burger. "So, before you dedicated yourself to my crew so quickly without second thought, what were your future plans? Y'know, your dreams 'n aspirations 'n all that. Or were you kinda driftin' through life without settlin' on any real goal yet?"
"Goals...?"
(A) Saving the otherworld! Then, I dunno.
(B) Just focusing on graduating first.
(C) Getting my PhD and teaching.
(D) I was gonna be a cop.
(E) I didn't have any.
(F) Being friends with everyone!
(G) I'm gonna be a 5-star chef.
(H) Owning a hat store!
(I) Follow in my father's footsteps and be a... whatever he is.
