With an hour left before the end of the festival, the crowd is dying down.  Only a handful of non-volunteers are still around.

A black limousine rolls up to the park entrance.  A man in a suit steps out of the front and walks around to the trunk.  He pulls out a metal contraption and unfolds it into a wheelchair, plopping it down next to the door.  An imposing, olive-skinned woman with dark hair in a ponytail steps out.  She's dressed in a grey business suit and skirt, sunglasses, blue tie, and black heels.  She looks around before slipping off the glasses to reveal piercing, brown eyes.

That's the owner of Vitcorp, Marin Ekantha....  She's one of the most powerful and influential women in the city.

Marin walks around the limo, opens the door, and braces herself on the door frame.  An arm reaches out and grabs hers.

Alice strains to pull herself out of the car.  She's wearing a mint-colored hospital gown, accessorized with a red tie.  Her left arm and leg are placed in casts, and several bandages are wrapped around her other side and head.  Tom steps out behind her, carefully supporting her waist.  Together, Tom and Marin help lower Alice into her wheelchair.  Alice is out of breath from the simple effort.

There's a brief awkward moment as they both move to push her, but Tom steps back and lets Alice's mom take her.  She gives him a warm smile, then starts pushing her forward.

Mattea, still dressed as an angel, looks unsure what to do.  But she's still the first to approach her.  "I know you're stubborn, but this is ridiculous.  Even for you.  What's so important that you couldn't just sleep?"

Alice's voice is weak.  "Had to... make sure you're doing... your job as president."

Mattea plants her hands on her hips.  "Duh?  That's not your concern anymore, so go home and rest!"

"Hey.  Putting together this festival... was my last act as president.  Had to see it."  Alice smiles.  "You look ridiculous."

"Yeah?  Well, I think I look great, so... shut up!" Mattea snaps.

"Are you two friends again?" Marin asks.  "Oh, dear.  This brings back memories.  It's been too long, Mattea."  Alice's mom looks quite pleased.

"'Friends' might be a bit hopeful..." Tom mutters.

"I'm afraid we can't stay long, but Alice just had to come sign the big banner.  She wouldn't stop going on about it," Marin explains.  "I said I was sure she could do it later, but she was so absolutely insistent..."

Everyone reacts slightly differently to the arrival, but most people are silently staring at her.  Dean's lips are drawn in a tight frown.  Avel gives her a wave.  Mareena covers her mouth with a hand.  Buttons tries to pretend he isn't staring.  Natsumi looks away.  Grant looks concerned, but a bit confused.  Tia looks like she wants to run over and give her a hug.  Somnis looks like she might cry...
