I'd love to play a charmer. Mostly because of the choices in terms of dialogue and character interaction. Charm is probably really important for the Somnis character as I'm assuming a similar structure is being followed. Somnis character is usually the source of summons and important to the plot, so they need a lot of relationship ranks. I think high charm will help us achieve that pretty effectively. Plus, who doesn't love a suave bastard like Mr. New Somnis? (It's also a new type of character that wasn't included in the first game)

Okay, so if we don't pick the first and focus on interactions, I think we should focus on battle. Boost the crap out of her knowledge and exploit weaknesses all you can because Somnis characters tend to be able to learn all elements. I decided to lower Kindness so that she'd be played as a cold, yet intelligent and practical person. I feel like this would be a good contrast between her and the old, bubbly, eccentric Somnis. Plus it could be interesting to see how she interacts with others.
Now I know I don't know EVERYTHING about this because Crow's probably changed a lot, which I can already see. But I do know everything about the original game. A lot of my choices are made based on what I already know and what I'm assuming is going to be the same, but both seem pretty strong to me and both focus on their strengths and weaknesses effectively.

So why cant it be a Female Charmer?
I will say Female; Junior; (+) Charm; (-) Don't care.
I mean I don't know how changing the Gender will make her that totally different. Like Male Somnis wouldn't have been voted to baptise people in the mall fountain or male somnis wouldn't have been voted different last time around.
The only thing I admit about is Female MC. The nuances are up to you and Digi about how she plays out for now. But my vote is Female MC or Pancake MC or Sentinel Plant MC
I mean I would go Second choice if that's the ultima. But I kinda of would love to see a Female smooth talker.
As fas as her personality well we just have to choose saner more boring route and be much more .... Realistic options.
I know I am so all the blame doesn't fall on me like it did last time.

'Cause I've already been there done that. I'm not interested. Female characters have a tendency to all get muddily close to each other on the Verse when they're CYOA characters because it's the same people voting for them and it's typical for those people to pick the same stuff unless they go out of their way to be different. It's like I've watched the same lesbian bump her way through every story. I'm bored.
We haven't had any lead male CYOA characters since...I don't think we have. Lily is the main character of AoD (Which is being pushed toward boring lesbian relationship with Gale), the main character of WD was a female lesbian, the main characters of LoH were Ryner, Elay, and Kress (with the latter two being lesbian lovers), and Challenge Tower's most memorable characters were La Rena, Flurrie, and Nogeko. I've not seen a main character in any CYOA that got anywhere that wasn't a female and a large majority of the females are in fact lesbians. Not to mention a lot of them have similar personalities due to similar choices made by the players. (Though I'll admit some of them were different, there's a good amount of similarities between most.)
Not once have I seen a main character be something other than happy, friendly, perfect girl that wants to be friends with everyone. Closest I think I got from that was probably Kress and I made her specifically, so it doesn't really count. I want to see a main character with flaws that's more real. And I'm sick of lesbians for the sake of lesbians.
That's why I want a male charmer if we're going to screw with the characters, focusing on playing the dialogue choices. Not just because I feel like I've seen a typical female cliche charmer lady a billion times, but also because I know if we go that route, you're just going to find the closest girl and date her.
That's also why I want an intelligent, cold female. It's a completely different idea from your typical protagonist. I pick her specifically because of the character potential in her. A character like that is someone I want to see change for good or bad. She's dynamic and different. It will keep my interest more than "just another protag" girl. I don't want my character to be a tool, but a person and a part of the story. If I want to play as me, I'll make a Vitcon character to play.

Honestly I have more fun and the story seems better when there is a Female MC. (I like the Lily and Alice story in AoD more then Rand's story.) In my opinion I been the Male MC in pretty much every form of game I played. There are way too many Male MC in RPGs that I play. I always prefer to play the female MC they are more interesting. But yeah the Male lead has been way overdone in all of media and I find it boring to be perfectly honest. So when I have an actual choice in the matter I want to play as a Female. Its not a lewd thing like some might think. Its not oh I am a male and well OMG Girl. No I think there's more possibility with a female MC. |

First off how many lesbians has there actually been Just. Theres only been 2 or 3 and they have been voted on by us the crowd. Only Morgan was someone I personally made lesbian.
Sophoe and Ann were voted by you guys.
So was Kira and Sara.
Honestly if you think the females I play as are perfect then you been reading the wrong characters. Because the females I have are anything but perfect girls. So I don't know what your seeing.

But they're all the same.
You'll naturally vote different if the character's a male simply because of how human psychology works. Plus it will automatically block out the possibility of same character from the beginning.
I can make the base female as different as I want from the others, but there's always the possibility you could vote her into being the same.
It's not on purpose and it's not because you're stupid. It's because you vote toward your desires instead of toward what's more interesting to the story. For example, if you could get a free rank up with a dialogue choice, you would. But I would prefer to pick a longer rank up that means more than a quick and easy one for the sake of just being a free point. You get what I'm getting at? You don't play as a reader that wants to change the story, but rather a player that wants to win the game and in a CYOA format, that gets really boring after two or three CYOAs of the same thing.

That's 9 out of 17 (more than half) lesbians if we're generous 7 out of 17 (almost half) lesbians if we're being picky.
Now only including things I vote in and didn't write, that's 5 out of 8 (more than half) lesbians and 3 males. That means literally every female in CYOAs I've voted in have been lesbians. So I dunno about you, but I'm pretty convinced by these numbers.
