"...Yes. Yes, this is a prank," Kiran says.
"A... prank?" Eleanor seems confused. "I'm afraid I don't get it."
"...Neither do I. Somnis put me up to it," Kiran lies. Well, it's half-true. He is lying because of Somnis doing... something... But why would Somnis lie to her mom about something like that? What is she up to?
"Oh. Well. Alright?" Eleanor gives a blank stare. "Well... Tell her I said to get her butt home, alright?"
"Uh... Right. I'll do that as soon as I see her..." Kiran promises. "So I'm gonna... go... find her. Bye!"
"Bye?" Eleanor seems so very, very confused. But also very used to being confused. Seeing as she lives with Somnis.
Kiran calmly walks home, not betraying that anything is wrong.
And then starts to freak out. What is Somnis up to? With people going missing!?
(A) OK, let's not panic. Let's start by trying to call her.
(B) OK, let's not panic. Let's try heading to the mall.
(C) OK, let's panic. Dogachu, help!
(D) ...This probably is one of Somnis' pranks. Pick one of the usual options to do!
(E) Oh, right, it's time to start getting things together to meet with Natty and Freya. And Buttons. Let's get ready.

But why the hell would you scream that? (shrug) Besides, we can't be entirely certain that Somnis has lied to her for bad reasons. In fact, it's more likely she left for some other reason she couldn't tell either of us. She may be hiding something, but we can't assume it's anything drastic. After all, nothing has actually happenes just yet. |

It goes to her voicemail.
He tries again.
More voicemail.
He tries sending a text.
...Not like he expected her to answer right away.
Dogachu whines at Kiran. A lot.
(A) Dogachu! Find Somnis, boy!
(B) Let's go to the mall. That's where she lied about going, after all...
(C) Let's forget about Natsumi's investigation - this takes precedence! Call in everyone to help!
(D) Somnis is probably fine. Let's go hang with Natty and Buttons.
(E) Nap time...
(F) Let's give her more time to respond...

Pointless. We shouldn't waste time with them or even tell others Somnis is missing until we know she's definitely missing. We will find answers at the mall.

Kiran heads to the mall. Better to not panic. Gotta make sure of stuff before doing anything rash. He spends the day asking around to see if anyone's seen Somnis. He doesn't have much luck. A few people remember seeing her running around last night, but none of them have any idea where she went or anything. Kiran's about to give up and head home when he notices the fountain.
He found Somnis.
Or at least a perfect replica of her as a statue.
She's kneeling between two kids Kiran doesn't recognize. One looks like he's injured. He's lying on the ground clutching his arm, and Somnis is shielding him. She's also reaching out to pull the other girl back. She's dressed in a weird costume.
Kiran... feels like that costume... it looks... no, it feels like something he's seen before... somewhere...
But that statue. That's Somnis. He'd know her anywhere. And she's screaming. Without thinking, he pulls out his phone and punches her number in.
...Seconds later, her ringtone starts playing from the statue's pocket...
"Are you... serious?"
(A) Call Somnis mom immediately.
(B) Call Natsumi and Buttons immediately.
(C) Call the police immediately.
(D) Call Dogachu immediately.
(E) Wade into the fountain and examine the statues more carefully. This is just one of her pranks, right? She's gotta be, like, painted or something...
(F) TRUE LOVE'S FIRST KISS WILL AWAKEN HER!
(G) Haha, serves her right. Time to hang with Natty and Butts.
