Welcome to the world of Spellcast! In this world, magic is commonly used. It is a large part of life here. Everyone can use magic. However, this world soon faces a great conflict. It will require the help of Legends and your guidance. Let's start by creating the vessels of your guidance for the people.
Legends are those that you are capable of guiding. They are mages that possess great potential and the power to change fate. You'll want to make sure the Legends you create are to your liking. Keep in mind, however, that Legends will not be the only mages on your journey and they will not be immortal by any means. With that said, let's get right to the good part.
Make sure you create five different characters with these selections. You won't want any less and any more could become overwhelming.
Begin by deciding the gender of your Legend.
Male Female
Next, decide the background of your Legend. This will help to determine their personality and story, so choose wisely!
A. A scholar in search of knowledge B. A necromancer enthralled with illegal magic C. A student learning magic D. An outlaw constantly on the run E. A mercenary searching for work F. A treasure hunter looking for money G. A soldier fighting for his kingdom H. A royal guiding their kingdom I. A pious priest/priestess J. A druid that is one with nature K. A merchant that travels the land L. An explorer searching for something new M. An engineer inventing new machines N. An alchemist creating a cure O. A seductive entertainer P. A pirate on the open seas Q. A mysterious person with no memory
Now that you've created someone and given them something of an identity, you must select their magic type. Each character can control two different categories of magic. Keep in mind, however, that one of the Legends has access to a special category. Spectrum magic is the ability to use all elemental spells. Please note this does not give the user access to Purity, Blade, Shield, or Curse spells. Only one of your Legends may have access to Spectrum magic, but you may choose to not have Spectrum magic if you wish.
1. Water 2. Fire 3. Plant 4. Wind 5. Earth 6. Electric 7. Light 8. Dark 9. Blade 10. Shield 11. Purity 12. Curse 13. Spectrum
Finally, you must select a strength and a weakness. Which stat will this character excel in and which will they fall behind in?
I. Health II. Power III. Ward IV. Speed

If anyone wants to, y'know, make a character or two... and be all "I wanna replace so-and-so with this," or "why don't we change this character's magic type or boon or whatever," I put those 5 in roughly the order of how much I want them.

I don't care too much about replacing the last three, but I'm not backing down on the protectromancer or death dancer. And someone needs spectrum.

Taking your top choices and your combined choice for Engineer, would this be acceptable?
Female Seductive entertainer Dark, Light Speed+, Ward-
Female Necromancer Purity, Shield Ward+, Power-
Female Priestess Light, Purity +Ward, -Health
Male Soldier Shield, Blade +Power, -Ward
Male Engineer Spectrum, Curse +Power, -Ward
Some things I think I should mention before you confirm. The soldier will likely be overshadowed by the Engineer using this setup and the Priestess will likely be overshadowed by the dancer and necromancer. However, the soldier could work as a tank instead of a damager if you change his stats. I just thought I should mention that since you can't change these decisions later.

"Listen to me, Lotus. No matter what happens, I want you to run. Run and don't look back!" "But...Mom, what about you?" "Don't worry about me, sweetie. Just promise me you'll keep running and get as far away from this place as you can." "...Okay." The sound of footsteps running. A moment later a scream. "...!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUsvmZvkFRk"Ngh...!" Jolting awake, Lotus sits up abruptly. "That was..." Coming to her senses, she takes a look around the room. She sits on the ragged mat she calls a bed. No blankets or warmth to speak of. It seems the others are already awake. The room is dimly lit by a candle nearby. The ocean's waves can be heard crashing against the shore outside. It seems I've overslept again. These nightmares aren't helping me any. I should get moving if I want to avoid being punished again...Getting to her feet, Lotus gets prepared for the day. She ties her white hair back and places on revealing, black clothing. If it could even be called that. The bottom piece is simply a black cloth wrapped around the waist with a short length that hardly covers anything. Her top is loose and reveals both her shoulders and the top of her chest. The length leaves her midsection easily visible. She wears sandals on her feet and silver bracelets on her wrists. Her neck is adorned with a silver necklace as well. Heading outside of the room, Lotus enters the main bar. Various scumbags sit around, drunk and stupid. The other women there wear similar outfits and serve drinks to the men around the bar. One of them notices Lotus and lets out a snarky remark. "Oh, well look who woke up. Ugh, it's a wonder you haven't been killed and tossed aside by now, Lotus. You're such useless dead weight. I'm sure if you weren't his favorite, you wouldn't even be alive right now." She lets out a cold laugh. A. Ignore them and work B. "Quiet, you." C. "How would you like a taste of my magic?"

At first I was like C but then I was like she's probably in a not-so-great place herself and just really needs a hug so do that. Or A.

Doing her best to block out the harassment from the others and the patrons, Lotus continues to work. She just needs to survive another day.
Why am I doing this…? No, there’s no time for such questions now. I have to survive just long enough in this place until I can find out what happened to Mother. The only lead I have is that pirate. I’ll never forget his face…
“Hmph. You were late again, Lotus.”
Lotus freezes. She doesn’t turn. She knows who it is. The owner of the bar. A sickening, greedy, gluttonous man. “I apologize, Sir.”
He approaches and she feels a sudden, sharp pain on her cheek. “You stupid *****!” Lotus stumbles slightly. “After all I’ve done for you, you have the audacity to betray me like that!? If it were once, I could have overlooked it. But multiple times? I should just do away with you now. However...No, that won’t do. You may be atrocious, but your dancing skills are quite useful. I need that money…” He thinks a moment. “Very well. I’ll show you mercy and give you the choice of staying here. However, there is a condition…”
In the middle of speaking, he’s interrupted. The front door opens and mysterious, hooded man comes walking in. Under any normal circumstances, this would be sketchy. But it’s simply common here. He walks over to the owner and speaks with him. His whispering is difficult to understand, but Lotus hears the response.
“Really? THAT much gold!? Well, I do believe maybe I could take such an offer…”
“Good.” The man exits, leaving behind a dark atmosphere.
The owner returns to Lotus. “Good news. You’re off the hook. For now. Get back to your room!”
“...Yes, Sir.” Lotus silently returns to the back room. She feels exhausted. Just day after day like this. How much longer can she last…?
...She begins to drift into sleep.
The vision of her mother’s face comes. Just like her daughter, she’s beautiful. They resemble each other. But she seems worried. Scared maybe. But an attempt at a smile can be seen on her face. She’s trying to mask the danger of the situation. “Listen to me, Lotus. No matter what happens, I want you to run. Run and don’t look back!”
A scared child, Lotus responds. “But...Mom, what about you?”
“Don’t worry about me, sweetie. Just promise me you’ll keep running and get as far away from this place as you can.”
She hesitates a moment. “...Okay.” Taking her mom’s words to heart, she begins to run as fast as she can. Her footsteps echo against the cold, hard ground. Suddenly, the scream of her mother sounds from behind. She stops and looks back.
“...!” Her mother is lying on the ground. A man she doesn’t know is standing there. A pirate. He has an evil grin on his face. He looks up and seems to notice her for a moment, but Lotus steps back and continues to run away, darting behind a nearby building.
“Don’t let her escape! Get her!” She’s being chased down the alleyways. Her heart is pounding.
Suddenly, her arm is grasped powerfully. She is awake. Two men lift her up to her feet and chain her hands together so she cannot move. “This is the last one, isn’t it?”
“Yep. Every last dancing ***** here. The captain said not to let a single one go.”
“Alright, get moving.” One of the men shoves Lotus along. She doesn’t bother fighting back. There’s no point in these chains. If she can’t dance, she can’t cast spells. A blindfold is placed on her as she’s led along like a blind animal.
She can hear the ocean. The ground beneath her moves ever so slightly. There’s no doubting this is a ship. She’s suddenly hit by something from behind and knocked forward. The blindfold falls off of her as she looks behind. One of the men from before close a door. She’s in some sort of cell. “...” She looks around. She’s still in chains. The men from before are gone. It seems it’s just her in this cell. All she has are some rags, likely meant to be a stand in for a bed.
“Psst…! Hey…!” Lotus looks up. Across from her is another cell. Inside, a man in a similar situation. He wears brown pants and boots. A furry vest is worn open on top, exposing his muscular chest. His hair is black and his eyes blue. “It looks like we’re in the same position here. How about you help me out a little? I promise to return the favor.”
Even if I don’t want to help him, I don’t seem to have much of an option…
“What is it you have in mind?”
“Whew, you can talk. I was a bit worried there. You look like a dancer. So you’re probably pretty graceful, right? Think you can find some way to get me out of this cell? I’m sure you can think of something. But...you better come up with something fast. Those grunts will be back soon. I’m sure of it.”
A. Seduce the guards B. Throw the rags on the guards C. Attack using the chains as weapons D. Attack with your feet E. Try to punch through the walls.

Chains would make a good weapon... but there's a risk of being put off-balance... Guess it depends how long/heavy the chains are... A might work, but... And... Well, even if we manage to punch through a wall, congratulations, we're in another cell. Or out over the ocean. In chains.
But I know from experience how hard dancers can kick, so I'll say D.

(RNG says it's time to D-D-D-kick them.) I'll wait until the guards come back and take the keys from them...The grunts can be heard walking back down the corridor. They head over to Lotus' cell and begin opening it. "Looks like you got the pleasure of being first to die. The captain says you and all your dancer friends are to be executed." Hmph. It seems even if I didn't want to hurt them, I wouldn't be given a choice. One of them opens the door with a key and just moments after the door is open, Lotus goes into a full force kick. She knocks the guard down and quickly snatches the key before unlocking the other prisoner's door. "Hey, thanks!" He heads out and summons a spear of ice before throwing it at Lotus. It hits her chains, breaking them. "I figured I should return the favor, right?" The grunt gets off the ground as the other looks at him in confusion. "What are ya staring at me for!? GET THEM!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEkI95MwlkEParty FrontLotus Health: 12/12 Manaflow: 5 Fjord Health: 15/15 Manaflow: 5 Enemy PartyGrunt Health: 10/10 Grunt Health: 10/10 Lotus and her fellow prisoner stand side by side, ready for battle. "Who exactly are you?" "Me? Eh, nobody special. I'm not exactly a friend of these guys and one day I slipped up a bit, so they got me. The name's Fjord, by the way. You?" "Lotus." "Alright, let's crack some skulls, Lotus!" (You may give any spell you know as a battle command. You may also choose to move to the front or back row free of Manaflow cost, however, it will take your turn to do so.)

So manaflow recovers at 1/round, but doesn't regenerate after battle... Presumably health doesn't either, and these guys have decent health, but probably not much speed or ward. But may still do some decent damage... Eh. We can take a risk on over-spending manaflow this round for a sure kill, then poke around to experiment when their DPS is halved.
Shadowstrike, Frozen Wind.

Lotus disappears and quickly dashes past one of the Grunts multiple times, slashing them with shadow daggers. They fall, unable to handle the damage. The remaining Grunt attacks Lotus with his sword, but she steps out of the way, only getting a small scratch. Fjord sends a freezing wind at the remaining Grunt, continuing the flow of damage.
Lotus uses Shadowstrike! Grunt receives 11 damage. Grunt dies.
