I'm thinking of going Usher of Lost Souls Spiritualist if I change.
We really need an Occult-ish character if we're going up against haunts and whatnot.
Granted, Neo's Oracle could probably combat haunts decently with cure spells, but more specialization couldn't hurt.

I won't structure things such that you are basically required to have an occult class. It's not a full occult campaign. remember?

Yeah, but haunts are like the Occult thing. I mean, Occult classes are necessary, but if one wants to combat haunts instead of just surviving them, positive energy is generally pretty nice (though Cure Wounds can do that).

I think I might stick with Occultist after all.
Most of the options I'm seeing are kind of annoying me with some redundancies present (yes, let's give this archetype that already has at-will Detect Undead and a huge bonus to perception against Haunts an ability to automatically detect haunts as if it couldn't already do that via Take 10). That or they don't really mesh with what I'm trying to roll with.
Granted, some are super cool but just wouldn't fit in the party, like the Gingerbread Witch. That's probably one of my favorite archetypes just because of the pure flavor it oozes.

Why not have session 0 this Sunday?
That's when we finalize our character sheets, practice some RP to figure out chemistry, place ground rules, etc.
Also, can we use content from the Occult Adventures Psychic Anthology Players' Companion? Some of it is on the SRD (namely the archetypes), but the other class options such as the Kindness Phantom and the Occultist Panoplies aren't on the SRD yet.
I have a copy of the PDF I can share as well.

If everyone is okay with having multiple tutorials, then sure. But tutorials are just as much for the GM as they are for the players.

We could just do a practice RP session to run through different variations of our characters just to see what works best if you think that's a good idea.
