Not this week, unless I somehow get a lot of things together and we can have a practice session. I'm aiming to still do one next week. Okay. I'd rather we wait until you feel ready and prepared anyway. I understand what it's like to have to set up all that stuff.

Something that I completely forgot to mention before because I'm an idiot, I'm most likely going to be missing the first few sessions because I'll be in Korea and don't know if I'll have access to a working computer.

I found the more detailed Siege Engine section and am now tempted to make a Siege Gunner Gunslinger (how come it gets INT for Grit but Techslingers don't?). I might also take Wyrmsniper as well, but that might be a tad redundant and I don't know if they're actually compatible since they sort of alter the same thing (Siege Gunner only gets bonus feats after 12th level and Wyrmsniper allows the Gunslinger to take some different feats instead of standard bonus feats).

Also, with some research, I found more of the Starfinder stuff. The Core Rulebook launches in August but there's a supplement coming out this month that has the backporting rules and some preview stuff.
There's 7 classes, which I haven't been able to find much about since my internet is being stupid, but they're as follows.
Envoy - Diplomat/Ship Captain Mystic - Cleric/Witch maybe? Technomancer - Blends magic with machine, probably going to be the Wizard or Occultist type character Mechanic - Smart guy with robot pals Soldier - Shooty bang bang pew pew Operative - Space Rogue Solarian - Weird Monk/Soulknife/Paladin/PsyWar/Ranger deal

Okay, um, since I don't think we have any non-innate magic users, I might in fact actually end up switching since the Occultist is very complicated and fiddly, but not in the interesting way I was hoping for now that I've worked out stuff in my head (none of the cool stuff happens until level 5 anyways). So... I may be running a Packmaster Hunter instead (because for some reason I've been really itching to play a nature-focused character lately, might have to do with ESO and me knowing that the investment into the Morrowind Expansion is a bad one since I don't even like how ESO plays). That way we'll have a WIS specialist along with someone with magic drawn from an outside source, plus the character would probably get along better than GOATMAN (name pending, thinking Don Quigoate de la Mancha. but he's not a cavalier).

If we're supposed to use less magical classes because of lore just let me know. I never cared too much for the Bloodrager magic side. Barbarian could work I think.

Nah, it's not using magic, but it's using innate magic rather than magic granted by an external source that is very unusual in the setting provided (Classes that usually get a set source of magic can have their fluff changed, though for some classes like Wizard, Witch, and Magus, the mechanics end up kinda weird if you change the fluff).
Usually, classes with Charisma as a casting stat get their magic from their own internal source (Oracle is the exception, though their magic power comes from within, it was granted to them by an external force, and Paladins get power from their force of will and creed). Classes with Wisdom as a casting stat usually get power from an outside beneficiary in a friendly relationship (Cleric gets power from gods or concepts, Druids get so from nature or gods, Spiritualists draw power from the ethereal plane or ghosts or something, etc). Classes with Intelligence tend to get power from study and knowledge of magic (Wizards and Magi learn through experimentation and personal study, Witches learn from a patron, and Occultists study tools with psychic and ghostly power).
Though GX has allowed people to change the fluff as they see fit, seeing as Neo's Oracle has innate magic rather than that granted to her by a deity.

I just found something really interesting that's worth checking out, HHD.
The summoner class is the strongest of the pet classes (not including Druid since it's strength is spells, not pets), and it has a half-orc exclusive archetype which gets rid of it's summon monster SLAs (which are quite strong) in exchange for blood sacrifice abilities and a Barbarian Rage.

Not unless you and a few others want to. GX and I most likely won't be there, since we already have plans tonight.

I need to go ahead and work on my new character, so I guess I'll be there sometime.

Neo, just checking really quick, did you give your Oracle the Detect Magic Orison?
Just wondering if we need it since it's going to be super helpful and if you don't I'll take it.

Okay, just tell me what cantrips/orisons you did take so we don't overlap since they're completely spammable so there's not much sense in having multiples. (The 4 I've chosen so far are Know Direction, Create Water, Detect Poison, and Flare since all are decently thematic enough).

Just finished the new character.
Needs a name though. I don't know if Orcs are using the standard name schemes in this setting or if GX has anything in mind.
