If you want to say screw it and dive into the deep end, just be ready to, y'know, stop watching if it gets bad. Does... anyone ever actually comment on the fact a second persona literally crawls its was out of Orpheus' mouth...?

Also, a lot of stuff happened since I last posted about the game. Saved Kanji, grinded a lot, got some much better Personas, became lovers with Yuki, did a lot of school stuff, made a crap ton of money, etc, etc.

I keep forgetting this thread exists. Stuff since last post: Rise saved, more levels, more Personas, better gear, etc. I hate human form Teddy. Shadow Teddy was a really annoying boss. Foxy is cute. It's now summer time! Aced the finals, of course.
... Biggest update. So. I was accidentally spoiled on who the murderer is. By Google. On one hand, goddammit Google. On the other hand, I saw it coming a thousand miles away... I was already convinced that's who it was, and I was right. The game made it kiiiiinda obvious. So I'm not really that upset.

I really hate Mitsuo. He's creepy and disgusting. But unless the accidental spoilers were wrong, he's not the murderer... Hmm.
Hey Crow. I've unlocked the 4th dungeon. What level do you recommend, and is there anything I should know about your favorite boss ever?

Uh... I have no idea what the actual number would be. But after going through and reaching the boss, I'd go back and grind 1 or 2 more levels. This is one of only 2 (maybe 3) parts in the game where I'd actually recommend bothering to grind. The others being the former-true-ending-final-boss (I have no idea if it's the same in Golden) and the November boss if it's giving you trouble.
Lessee... This'll be a fight of endurance, so don't blow your load right out of the gate. Save that SP and just focus on chipping away at the beginning. You'll know when to hit him hard. And there'll be a point where you'll say "oh, now." And no, not 'now.' 'Now' is the time to setup buffs and stuff. Wait for the second "OH, CROW MEAN NOW" moment. There might actually be three of those, depending on... eh, you'll figure it out.
He also used to have a nasty little combo, but I don't... know if he still has it in Golden, actually. Basically, he has (had?) an attack that insta-kills anyone inflicted with fear. I don't know if even Tetraja/Humonculi work on it. He also has an attack that casts fear on the whole party. I'd still bring a persona with Null Fear. Fortunately, he won't be able to use that combo right out of the gate.

Hmm... Okay. I'll give it some thought. I'm level 34 now. I was going to grind to level 37 anyway, to get a better Priestess summon than Ganga(Who, at level 35, is still pretty darn good). I might actually just go ahead and grind to level 40 so I can get Yata. I'll keep an eye out for a Persona with Null-Fear. Are there any other Personas I should be looking for around my level?

Yata...garasu? I feel like... I know there's a persona around 40 that gets Null Fear, and I'm relatively sure it's that there 8-span crow.

Also, that makes things easier. I'll just grind to 40 for Yata. Though 5 and a half levels will take a while... Do I have a time deadline for this dungeon? It's currently July 29th. |

I'm sure you have a time limit, because there's always a limit. But I have no idea what it is.
And Yatagarasu is, surprisingly enough, not the only Yata.

Or is it Yamata... Hm... It's too late for me to remembering this sort of thing. Or too early.
On an unrelated note, the Devil Survivor 2 anime is god-awful as an adaption. They really needed 26 episodes instead of... did they even have a13-episode season? I guess it would've been passable if I hadn't played the game... maybe... ...Except for one moment near the end that was super-cool even if it completely spat in the face of the source material.

Just looked it up, the time limit is August 12th. That's not too bad. But I definitely want to get to at least level 40... Cause the boss is apparently level 45. How did I end up so underleveled...?

You'll level up a lot in this dungeon. I wouldn't say you're terribly underleveled. But... remember how I mentioned there are special enemies that appear only on rainy days? Might be a good time to take an extra day to hunt some.

So I tried to beat the optional boss of the previous dungeon... And was doing extremely well until the boss used Deathbound and Rampage in a row and wiped my entire party from full HP. There was literally nothing I could do.
That legitimately pisses me off. Atlus, learn how to make bosses properly. Because that's not how you do proper difficulty.

If you died from full health, you probably weren't the right level...
Or you just need a physical resistant Persona.

Special enemies appear... er... I'm pretty sure there's a few in the lower levels of Rise's dungeon. Or was it... Kanji's...? And I think there's other types... probably... But they look red on the dungeon map. So that's a thing.
