and we got Celica a railgun that doesn't have friendly fire I refuse. On the grounds that non-friendly-fire-railguns don't discharge a flechette burst at supersonic speeds with enough force to send a glitterboy flying back 30ft if it doesn't stab a 4ft rod into the ground.

But that means cheesing the Terrasque is impossible. Can't exactly hit it if we're constantly being deafened and have penalties for the entire battle. Or Celica can get a weapon that's not a railgun.

Don't buy a weaker gun. Buy everyone else railgun protection armor.

But that means cheesing the Terrasque is impossible. Or she can just stand, y'know, more than 200ft away from the rest of the party. I refuse. On the grounds that weapons that are not a boom gun don't discharge a flechette burst at supersonic speeds with enough force to send a glitterboy flying back 30ft if it doesn't stab a 4ft rod into the ground. Also I do intend to buy a new weapon. But it's 18,000cr. And she has negative money.

Unfortunately, the only protection from being deafened is being deafened already. That's not a smart idea on the battlefield. And there are better guns anyway.

Unfortunately, the only protection from being deafened is being deafened already. Or being in a tank, large vehicle, giant robot, being a greater demon or higher, god, elemental, something immune to deafening or without ears...You. Shut. Your. Mouth.

Earplugs?

Yes, Lurk. Earplugs = being deafened already. Also, Crow, there are guns with more damage, better range, AND no friendly fire.

What about electronic earplugs which equalizes sounds rather then blocks them.

There's earplugs that block all sounds except loud noises. They use microphone/speakers to transmit 1:1 what they pick up, so they're acoustically transparent, except when something goes over the decibel limit, then it shuts off.

Unless Mystic's really in favor of the "down the rabbit hole elevator shaft" plan ("oh, finally, they're doing something smart"), I'll back Neo's preference for Ard. Terran is in Ard, right?

My preference is still the original "Spoiler shows up and defeats/drives away the Terrasque". That's always been my preference. That's what will make me most happy, and what works best for my character. I want to continue Dracomundi, and I want Shira to meet Spoiler to give her that extra depth of character. That's what I want.
My preference for Ard/Terran comes second to that.

I guess you guys can all vote on it since I can honestly go either way. If you all vote for your top two, we can move forward with the one that gets the most votes.
Option A: Spoiler defeats Terrasque
Option B: Down the elevator shaft
Option C: Retreat to another world

My votes are for B and C

... I have a feeling that no one else will vote for it, but A. I definitely vote A.
After that... C, I guess. C, Ard/Terran. I'm not using Shira as bait for an enemy that can OHKO her, with no possible backup, for something that could very well turn out pointless. If Shira died for nothing, due to a scenario that wasn't even my fault, I would definitely drop out of the campaign. So I'm strongly against B.

I unfortunately can't vote without seeing the in-game situation...
Even with summaries I have no idea what is going on.
My fault for missing most of the session.

B or C. B, assuming it's not a waste of time. I've wasted enough of our time. C if it is.
I don't... understand why I'd want to watch the spoiler whose name Neo kinda accidentally dropped earlier kick the crap out of Terry. Between watching something epic and doing something epic... well, I still say it's way more interesting when the party digs their own way out of the hole. Even if it takes a long time.

Because that spoiler would make the campaign far, far more interesting than the Terrasque?
Fair warning. If you guys choose B, I as a player will refuse to let Shira serve as a distraction. She will remain in the airship.

Mystic, I have a question.
If Shira gets in Dragon form with Slimex on her back using his bubble shield (which would protect us both) and the Terrasque does 70 MD, bypassing the 60 MD HP of the shield, do we take 10 MD damage or would the shield soak the additional damage?

Shira is not fighting the Terrasque. Period. End of discussion.
