I'm flipping through the RIFTS manual and thinking about how funny it might be to play a deliberately low-IQ floof-person. Like that Dog in Up.
But that would mean committing time to sessions and learning the game and ewwww.
I kind of like the idea of randomly generated stats/abilities/backstory/everything. It forces you to be creative.

(Still need an answer on that WP thing...)
So I was going over the rules again and found something I missed. Simultaneous Attack... Are there any restrictions on this!? Is there any reason I can't be like "Yeah, OK, hit me. Oh, ow, that really hurt, whatever will- BOOM GUN."

I'd have to look it up(Which I can do if you give me a bit) but I'm pretty sure WPs are treated the same as skills. So if you take a WP at level 3, it starts out at level 1 proficiency.

As in two people fighting a single target together or fighting with two weapons at once?

It's when you let an attack hit you and automatically land your next attack.

Myyyystiiiiiic I might have to un-take Wrestling for now then. Didn't some other character take Wrestling? I can say Celica learned it from them later or something.

It's when you let an attack hit you and automatically land your next attack. You still use an attack don't you? I don't think there are any restrictions. It doesn't seem like an overly powerful move. Especially since you have to wait to use it instead of moving sooner to use it.

I'm just going to assume the weapon proficiency thing's like everything else. I'll just take away her ability to read. Note to self: when I re-take wrestling, I rolled a 10 for the SDC gain.

Hey, Mystic (again)... How much would a sword run me? Not a vibro-sword, that would be like 10000cr. Just a normal hunk-of-steel, beat-you-in-the-face falchion. The closest I can find is a machete or commando knife (page 262 (265)).

I believe they are pretty cheap as long as they aren't special in any way. Probably about as much as you'd pay for a knife or a kitchen choppy object since that's all they're good for nowadays. (Unless you go into a medieval rift or something and didn't want to horribly stand out. And somehow lived in the process.) So...not much. They would not cost much. Let me look at how much some of the basic supplies costs. It shouldn't cost much more than the stuff listed there.

Oh, Mystic, PPE recovery in case you never found it: page 189 of the PDF. All Practitioners of Magic have Meditation at the start, free of charge. Meditation restores 10 PPE per hour, unless otherwise indicated by their O.C.C.
