For weapon proficiency skills, do you get the bonuses at character levels, or at leveling the skills to those points?

All skills increase as you level up.

I mean... say, WP Knives. If I take it at level 3 instead of level 1. Would it start with +1 strike, +2 parry/throw, or only +1 parry/throw and grow to +1 strike, +2 parry/throw at character level 5?
Because if I understand skills right, they start at the base level. And you add the skill growth thing every time you level up. So a skill you take at 3 ends up less developed than one you take at 1. And if WP skills work the same, I need to drop Athletics and Wrestling for WP knife and sword, reduce stats back to what they were, and put them back later.

Uh... Amelia has Deaden Pain, Psychic Diagnosis, and Psychic Surgery, Crow. So we have three party members with the diagnosis and surgery psionics.

Well, since it doesn't use the same language as normal skill growth (other skills use +whatever per rank of experience) I'd say it depends on character level.

Suppress Fear will probably be quite useful. Amelia has it as well, so that should provide most or the entire party protection against horror factors when needed. Stop Bleeding is one of the few things on the medical side that we didn't already have covered, and Neo plans to pick up Psychic Purification when he gets more psionics for Shira. Sounds like we'll have good healing.

If Amelia has it, we don't really need Suppress Fear... Does anyone have the thing that increases natural healing rate yet? Increased Healing? I may take that and either Clairvoyance or Sixth Sense. That'll still let me keep Stop Bleeding because I can't count.

We might need more than one person with Suppress Fear... With the way HF seems to work, I think the party is going to have to roll to save against Shira's own HF every time she transforms into a dragon or puffs out her frills.  I was planning to take Psychic Purification and Increased Healing at... Level 2 is when I get my next Psionic powers I think. But I don't have them yet. |

This party has too much accidental friendly fire. I'd imagine it might startle people the first time, but surely there's some rule about seeing things repeatedly...?
