Silly Kitty. The only rule is that you have to kill the dragon.

Oh... right.  Mod.  Mod things.  Rules.  Kitty, language.  Don't make me do extra work censoring stuff.

Also he's a she.

Hawke takes off, grabbing Lily and practically throwing her over the wall.

"Hawke?  What are you doing?"

"You must escape, Princess.  Don't worry, I'll bring the others as fast as-"

"We can't!  We need to take care of the dragon, at least, and give the town guard a chance to rally!"

"...Very well.  I'll-"

"No, wait.  Bring a few others.  Maybe we can sneak around behind the commander, take out her troubadour, and surround her."

"Yes, Princess!" Hawke answers.

Levi goes after the revenant.  He lands two weak hits, but it keeps coming at him.  It rakes its claws across his armor uselessly.  Rakim moves down and finishes it off, freeing Isana to dance for Hawke and Stella to heal Isana.  Hawke tosses Rakim over the wall along with Lily.

The others fall back, with Judoc taking rear guard.  Carin drops back and tends to Kurt's injuries.  The injured assassin sees her open and goes in to attack.  He manages to stab deep into her thigh.  Carin screams and kicks him in the face.  "Get...  Get back!" Carin yells.  She calls down a bolt of lightning, but the assassin darts back.  "I said get back!" Carin repeats, calling down another bolt.  It strikes him before he can recover.  He crumples to the ground, dead.

The revenants swarm towards them.  One goes for Carin.  She's ready this time, moving back and striking it down.  Two attack Kurt.  He weaves through their attacks, slicing the pair wildly as he brings them down.  Another lands a glancing blow on Levi before he takes it down.  The paladins focus their attacks on Judoc.  He takes a few scratches, but manages to land a weak hit on each of them in return.

The dragon notices Lily.  "Trying to escape?  I won't let you!  You have to die!  Princess of Carcina!"  She flaps her wings and takes off, kicking up a wall of sand.  She flies with surprising speed, aiming straight at Lily.  She swoops down with a swipe of her claws.  "DIE!"

Lily steps back, barely dodging the claws and nearly losing her footing in the sand.  Lily strikes back with her sword.  It clangs off the dragon's scales.  "I won't let you have your way!" she screams, carefully aiming a thrust of her sword.

The dragon screeches and shuffles back a few paces, then rears back to attack again...

"Rakim, go away, you aren't helping."

Lily steps back and starts throwing dark spheres at the dragon.  The dragon evades one, gets hit by another, then stomps the ground.  Dark spikes stab out of the ground in a trail straight towards Lily.  Lily raises her hand and forms a powerful ward, absorbing the worst of the blow as she's stabbed several times.

Hawke helps Stella over the wall and the cat cleric heals the princess' wounds.

Isana helps Quinn clear out one of the revenants.  The others form a wall behind Levi and Judoc.  The paladins both attack Levi.  He manages to knock one off his horse and stab him in the chest, but the other paladin holds his ground.

The assassin throws a knife at Judoc, and he deflects it with his shield.  The revenants flood at Judoc.  Revenant after revenant attack him with crushing blows.  But, with Carin watching his back, he endures the assault, cutting down three of them as the others continue to advance.

The dark dragon advances on Lily, swinging her claws towards her.  Again, Lily steps back and avoids the attack, striking back with her magic.  The dragon avoids one of the attacks, then shrugs off the other.  She turns to the troubadour hiding behind her.  "What are you doing!?  Get over here and heal me!"

The troubadour runs to obey, healing the dragon's wounds.  Lily and the dragon are at a stalemate...

Carin heals Judoc as he steps forward. Levi manages to stab through the paladin's armor, then finish him off.  The assassin, seeing an opening, lunges to attack him.  He slashes Levi's leg, only for Levi to stab one knife into his flank and another into his chest.  The Risen swarm towards Judoc.  He drives them back, killing them one after the other until none are left standing.  As the last sinks into the ground, the team on that side of the wall sees the area is secured.

Hawke gets in position next to the wall.  Kurt runs up, jumps onto the wyvern, then leaps over the wall.  He throws a knife at the enemy troubadour as he falls.  She turns just in time to see it stab into her shoulder, right before Kurt lands and plunges another knife into her chest.

Stella heals Lily while the dragon turns to see what happened behind her.  When the dragon looks back, Lily thrusts with her sword.  The dragon deflects it with her scales, slashing back with her claws.  Lily dodges, but the dragon comes back for her again.

"How... How are you still alive!?" the dragon demands.

"How are you still alive!" Lily retorts.  She manages to stab into another weak point in the dragon's scales.  The dragon recoils in pain, then roars angrily.

Hawke's wyvern scoops up Carin drops her over the side of the wall.  Her horse takes the long way around to reunite with her.

Kurt throws daggers at the dragon's back.  They do little more than distract it.  The dragon turns and shoots a row of spikes at him.  He jumps off the wall and leaps over the spikes.

Lily uses the opening to stab the dragon's neck.  The dragon turns, swiping with her claws and knocking Lily away.  Stella catches her and begins treating her wounds.  The dragon doesn't give Lily room to breathe, slashing at her again.  Lily shuffles back in a feint, then lunges and slices the dragon twice.

The dragon collapses to the ground.  Its shape slowly starts to twist and distort.  The last few enemy survivors begin to retreat.

The dark dragon's massive form disappears, replaced with a humanoid form.  Female, slender, black hair, fair-skinned.  She looks eerily similar to Lily, but dressed in a gown-like dress instead of a sorceress' garb.  And her ability to turn into a dragon...  It's no wonder some people were deceived by her claims to be the true daughter of the king.

She's on her knees, panting and gasping.  She looks up at Lily, eyes full of fury.  "Y-you...  I c-can't... lose to you..."

Lily kicks her arm out from under her, sending her sprawling to her face.  Then Lily plants her foot on the back of her head, slamming her face into the sand.  "So, you're the one who's trying to usurp my title, hm?  Not so impressive.  Sure, you're pretty strong.  But your army was useless.  Maybe if you trained your troops a big better - or if you knew how to command them properly - I'd be the one down there instead."

"Damn you..." the defeated dragon spits.

Lily presses down harder.  "What was that?  It didn't sound like 'please spare me' or 'have mercy.'"

"Grrr..."

"So, how about you tell me your goals, hm?  Seeing as you've already lost."

"How about you tell me about your- mmmph!"

Lily grinds her face into the sand with a sadistic grin on her face.  "You're the one summoning the Risen, hm?  So I just kill you and everything's solved, right?  Do you know how many people have died because of you?  Give me one reason to let you live."

"..."

(A) (Stab her)
(B) "Kill her.  Make her suffer."
(C) "We're going to find out what you know, no matter how long it takes."
(D) (Give her a few more kicks and leave)
(E) (Knock her out and drag her with you)
(F) "Stella.  Heal her."

C, but use torture.

A. Maybe break a bone. But like, heal the wound afterward. Repeat until compliance.
