......That would certainly be... interesting...
Out of the most interesting people Lily could bang, Kurt's probably the top of the list because curse and Archbishop's son. Storm's a really close second because descendant of exalt.

It's been 100000 years since I've made a map...
...And the last one never even got used! You decided to play cards instead!
Huff.
On top of a huge post. I'll get started on the map in the morning while I wait for my phone interview. And the post after, probably.

Damn it, Kitty. I went to check my notes to see what I'd named this guy, like... months ago. And... Well, I'm not changing it.

Isana leads everyone down a narrow alley. A man in a cloak nods and ducks down a narrow staircase, leading down to a wooden door. The group proceeds into a dimly lit basement. The man is already sitting at a small table, leaning back in his seat at a sharp angle. He folds his arms and casually flips his hood down using a pair of pointed, furry ears covered in golden fur. He stares at everyone, unblinking, with bright, green eyes. "Hey, Izzy. You're late. This the princess?"
"No 'glad you made it' or 'hi, how are you?'" Isana asks.
The cat purses his lips. "Good job not screwing up the simple task of getting off a boat."
"You're such an asshole sometimes..." Isana growls. "Everyone, this is Levi. He's one of the leaders of a small resistance movement that's trying to overthrow the Great Khan."
"Charmed." The cat continues to lean in his chair. "Alright, how much did Li'l Izzy tell you?"
"Not enough," Lily says.
The cat sighs, sits his chair up, and plops his chin into his hands. "Alright, then. Listen up, because I hate repeating myself. Li'l Izzy here used to be part of some creepy cult-"
"It's not a cult..." Isana cuts in.
"-a creepy cult devoted to hunting down and killing some evil demon," the cat continues. "And at some point, these guys screwed up. We're not completely sure how. Either, A, they went completely bonkers and for some reason decided the best way to do this is by killing Princess Lily over here and brainwashing the great khan into starting a huge war. Because they think that'll stop this big bad demon for some reason. Or, B, they've been possessed by said demon and are trying to summon it with the world's biggest blood sacrifice. With me so far?"
"Demon," Lily says. "A demon. Tell me about this demon. Why should I believe-"
"Hey, remember when a bunch of dead guys started getting up and walking? Killing people? Yeah, it happened a few years ago. Kind of a big deal. I'm sure you've heard of it. Y'know how that was being orchestrated by a big, bad demon? Have ya noticed how dead guys are starting to do that again? See where I'm going with this?"
Lily clenches her jaw. "That's... a fair point. Alright. So why is this cult-"
"It's not a cult!" Isana insists.
"Why's would this cult be trying to summon this demon, or why would-"
"Dunno," the cat says. "Don't care."
"I'm getting pretty sick of-"
"Getting interuppted? Yeah, I don't care about that, either. My interests are in deposing the Great Khan because he's started being a royal jackass lately."
"How so?"
"Well, gee. I dunno! How about sending assassins to try to kill you, for one? I could also talk about conscription and taxation and a bunch of other things that aren't really your concern."
Lily can really see why this guy manages to get under the usually unflappable Isana's skin. "So what's your plan, then?"
"You mean after we depose him? Elect a new Khan. Or do you mean how are we going to get rid of him?"
"The second one."
"We've got a small army. We've got supplies. We've got an opening. What we lack is leadership and legitimacy. I mean, I know I'm just a frickin' bundle of sunshine and rainbows that inspires loyalty to the point of absurdity, but I'm not the greatest tactician. And we need some recognition from a foreign power. Do you see where I'm going with this?"
Isana looks shocked. "Levi, what are you talking about? This is-"
"Yeah, not something we talked about. I had the idea well after we parted ways. 'Course, if the princess doesn't want to play into their hands and basically declare war - y'know, if she just wants to tag along for revenge, she's free to hide her identity instead. No one has to know she's involved."
"Let's put that aside for now. Isana mentioned some imposter in Carcina trying to convince everyone she's the rightful heir of the throne. That woman... she's one of the members of Isana's old cult, isn't she?"
The cat nods. "Y-"
"Yes," Isana says softly. "And the assassin and wyvern rider that attacked you in Trine, the witch, the dragon-fox, and one other we've been lucky enough not to run into. And my best friend, as well - though she, fortunately, decided to join me in opposing the rest."
"She'd been posing as a Valerian soldier," Kurt says. "And she's the one who warned me about the attack on Hyun'ji. Right now, she's watching over Rand."
Lily quietly hopes she's doing a better job than Isana. "So, you don't know why your cult-friends-" Isana winces at the term "-decided on this course of action?"
"No. We don't communicate much. I was assigned to keep track of the Great Khan and make sure he didn't do anything dangerous. The assassin just showed up one day and told me there'd been a change of plans. And when I resisted, she just inserted herself as the Khan's new adviser. So I... well, you know how we got here."
Lily nods. "Mm. Yes, it was a lovely voyage."
"Oh, how catty." Levi smirks at his own stupid pun. "So. Isana and I are going to head out into the desert and go beat the crap out of a tyrant. You're free to join. Or not. Your choice. Any questions before we head out?"
(Free response question time? Oh, wow. How advanced.)

Does Zenia have any part in this rebellion? Can we trust her or is she be controlled by the same demon cult as the Kahn?

"I've got three questions to start," Lily says.
Levi groans. "Fine. Let's hear them. Just remember - I didn't get any sleep because I was up all night waiting for you guys, so I'm grumpy."
Lily fights back the urge to smash him in the face. "First, do these cul- not-cultists have any type of leadership?"
"No. Well, kind of. We used to, but she died. A long time ago. When we were still kids." Isana pauses to sigh. She stares down as she continues. "Then it was just the eight of us. Amy was our leader, nominally, but we all knew our jobs and rarely really met, as a group so..."
"I see... That makes things more complicated. Speaking of complicated... Is Zenia on our side or not? Despite everything, it seemed like she was trying to help us as much as she could."
"Zenia?" Levi asks in an irritated tone.
Isana bites her lip and continues to stare at her feet. "I don't know. I really don't know. I don't understand why she risked doing as much for us as she did."
Levi folds her arms. "Don't even consider she might be your friend. She's one of the Great Khan's closest confidants, after all. Remember, as the Champion, she's the one who put him on the throne."
Right. Every twenty years or so, the lesser khans host a tournament, with the winner becoming the Great Khan. King Paen would probably approve of that system...
"Tch. Well, fine. We probably can't trust her to do us any more favors. Alright, 'Levi.' If you want my official support, you're going to have to persuade me. What sorts of things is the Great Khan doing?"
"Let's see." Levi pretends to think for a moment. "Other than trying to provoke a war with several other countries? I mentioned the conscription. Plus, raising taxes to absurd levels to prepare for his little war. Life's been kinda crap for us laguz under his rule, too. Not that it's been great under past khans, but still. Oh, and a lot of people have been mysteriously going missing with no official response from the Great Khan. 'Course, we're pretty sure either him or his little pet's behind it, so. Y'know. There's that. Don't know why he'd bother being subtle, though, considering how full his dungeons have been of anyone who dares to question him."
"'His little pet' being that assassin, correct?"
"Correct. Any more questions?"

Unacceptable! We cannot let any fools hurt my people!
Oh, wait, I'm Lily, not me.
In that case, LET'S OVERTHROW THIS KHAN BASTARD AND KILL HIM.
Someone take over, I'm not good at talking, I'm only good at killing ****.

Actually Izzy mentioned something interesting. She mentioned the Khan use to be different before the new advisor showed up. What was the Khan like before this new advisor showed up? How much did he change?

Have the other two Khans said anything and how widespread is the discontent among the Feroxi people (Not that we aren't willing to fight for the Laguz just not officially if the Kahn is still well liked)

Technically, we look like we're dead or missing or something. Maybe we could play off the ship incident as the ship having gone missing at sea, go into hiding Princess Elincia style, and fight the khan in disguise as someone else. Like...Rose instead of Lily. Or something.
"Hey, you look kinda like Princess Elincia."
"Um...Oh, no. My name is...Shmalincia."
"Good enough for me."
