Lily thinks for a moment. Isana's put her through quite a bit, but... she does seem to have her heart in the right place. She seems does want to help 'save the world' or whatever, if nothing else. She nods. "Yes. I think I do. I think she certainly... overestimates herself, but I think she's sincere."
Storm takes a sharp breath. "Alright. If you trust her, then... I'll take your word for it."
"Thank you," Lily says. She crosses her arms and stares at Storm.
"...Something bothering you?" he asks.
"It's just... You."
"Sorry?"
"Oh! No, no. Not... It's just, you used to be a bit of a... well, a coward. I can't help but think if this had happened to you a week ago, you wouldn't be handling this so well."
"I'll takes that as a compliment," Storm says.
"That's how it was meant," Lily assures him.
"I suppose I have to thank you for helping me grow."
"You just needed to get some experience." Lily smiles. "But I don't mind being the one watching out for you. As long as you do the same for me."
"It's a deal," Storm says.
Lily excuses herself to sleep shortly after. Her rest is shorter than she would have liked. The ship pulls back into harbor just as the sun is rising.
"Quickly," Isana says. She's already waiting at the gangplank. If she's still injured, she's refusing to show it. "My contact is probably worried about us. I really hope he stuck around..."

CHAPTER 6VX: IMPRISONED
Rand stands on the bow of the ship. It was an uneventful march to get on board, and it's been an equally uneventful voyage. The most excitement they had was when they saw a passing merchant vessel and a few of the crewmen waved at each other. Rand hopes things are going as well for Lily. She should be back in Tartarus by now, if everything went as planned.
Rand decides that so long as there's nothing else to do, he may as well spend some time seeing what everyone's up to.

Rand decides to go check on their newest member. He knocks on the door to the room she's been sharing with Alice. "Pixie? Are you there?"
"Y-yes... C-come in..." a small voice answers. Rand carefully pushes the door open. Pixie is hurriedly adjusting herself on her bed. She's still not used to her new thief's outfit. "M-m-may I... help you, milord?"
"Alice isn't in?"
"No, sir. Milord. No, milord. If you're looking for her-"
"No, I just wanted check on you, Pixie."
"M-m-m-m-me!?" she squeaks. "I... B-but, y-you... Surely there are better uses of milord's time...!?"
"I like to check up on everyone in our little group," Rand says. "You've been holed up in your room most of the trip. Is everything OK?"
"Oh... Um... J-just a little seasick...?" she says.
Rand nods. "Ah. Anything I can do to help?"
"Th-that's... ah... Thank you, but... N-no, thanks..."
"Well... If you need to, y'know, talk about something, don't hesitate to track me down. Or Alice or Allune, if you prefer..."
Pixie laughs nervously. "I... I'm fine..."
Rand gives her a doubtful stare, then nods and walks out. He pauses after he closes the door. There were tearstains on her pillow, but... with someone as shy as Pixie, probably best not to push the issue too hard.
Mina finds Eun'ji sitting quietly aside, watching as Hyun'ji speaks with Alice.
"Eun'ji. Hello... Um. How is your injury?"
"Ah... It's fine, Mina. Your healers took excellent care of me. I'm almost completely recovered." Eun'ji smiles gently.
"I'm glad to hear it. You were hurt so badly, I wasn't entirely sure you would survive, even with Kurt's help..."
"...Yes..." Eun'ji whispers. "Neither was I. I've been thinking a lot about what you said."
"Huh?" Mina blinks. "Oh... Right. About protecting yourself to protect your master?"
"Yes. And... not just my master. My family would be... Well, they would be proud to know I fell in service of the royal family, but I suppose they may miss me, as well."
"Uh... Right. That's true, I suppose. My parents would probably feel the same, but... I think Rand would probably feel... um... really guilty. So... I have to be careful not to try to do too much. And I know he's strong, too! S-so, I'm... scared, but I know I can rely on him to protect me the same as I'm protecting him... If that makes sense?"
"I... see. That's... a lot to think about," Eun'ji says. "Master is certainly strong, but..."
"You're an archer, right? Y-you can't... Well... You know... You can't fight from the front the same way... Erm..." An awkward silence falls over the pair as Mina points out the obvious.
Meanwhile, Alice and Hyun'ji have a pleasant discussion over a cup of tea. Alice smiles as she grips the warm cup and takes a sip. "Mmm... It's so bitter."
"You don't like it?" Hyun'ji asks.
"No, it's delicious..." Alice says. She grins at Hyun'ji. "Thank you for sharing this with me."
Hyun'ji nods at Eun'ji. "Thank my partner. She grew the leaves herself."
Alice takes another drink. "Mmm. I should ask her for some seeds to plant back home..."
"I don't know if they'll grow, but it's worth a try, I suppose," Hyun'ji says. "So, you are the future guardian of the forest, right?"
"I suppose I'll inherit the title. First was my grandfather, then my mother took his duties and was the first to officially carry the title."
"Hm. Sefa Forest may not be large, but Carcina and Valeria both recognize it as its own territory. I suppose that makes you... something like a princess?" Hyun'ji grins at her.
Alice is visibly surprised. "I... hm. I'd never... thought of that..." After the initial shock wears off, she quietly traces her finger along the edge of her cup. "Princess Alice, huh... I don't think it quite suits me. I don't have the same... sophistication that's expected of such a title."
"I think it suits you quite well... Princess." Hyun'ji laughs. "Your personality has nothing to do with your title."
Alice giggles a bit, before finishing her cup. "Thanks again for the tea."

Gin climbs into the hold to check on the mounts. He finds Kelly tending to her horse. "Hey," he says.
Kelly jumps. "Hrk... Ah, hello."
"Did I startle you?"
"No. ...A little," Kelly admits.
"Sorry. I just wanted to check up on everything down here. Y'know. Make sure nothing was wrong."
Kelly nods. "Mm. Alright. Satisfied?"
"Oh! Er... Yeah. I guess." Gin scratches the back of his head. "Is your horse OK?"
"She doesn't seem to like being on the ship, but she's dealing with it," Kelly says curtly.
"...Am I bothering you?" Gin asks.
"No? Why would you think that?" Kelly demands.
"Ah... You just seem a bit... angry?"
"Angry? I'm not angry!" Kelly says angrily. "That's just how I am." She scowls for good measure.
"Oh. Er. Sorry?" Gin asks. "I'm just going to... go now..."
"Fei!" Shep barks.
"Eep!" Fei rolls out of bed and thuds onto the floor. "Ow... Oh. It's you."
"Ouch. That looked painful," Shep says. There's a subtle mocking tone in his voice that Fei completely misses.
"You gave me a bump on my head... You're gonna fix it, right?"
"The prince may get cross with me if I waste our resources on something so trivial."
"You aren't a very nice healer, are you?" Fei asks.
Shep smirks. "No. I'm not. I'm an effective healer."
Fei frowns. "Isn't being nice good for you patients or something?"
"Kind of. But sometimes you have to handle them a bit rougher to get your point across. Plus, you're not my patient."
"Hmmph."
"Then again, I'm curious about why you're always sleeping. It's past noon, for goodness sake!"
"There's nothing to do on this ship!" Fei protests. "The crew's taking care of everything. And I can only train so much..."
"You're also a bit ditzy and really pale. Alright, I'm going to figure out what's wrong with you. Congratulations."
"...Thanks?"
"Now get out of bed. I need to run some tests. First, I need you to run a dozen laps around the ship..."
"Allu-u-u-uneeeeee!" Rhett goes jogging over to her as she lands on the deck after a short flight.
"Hello, Rhett. You seem awfully excited. Were you waiting for me?"
Rhett nods enthusiastically. "Yes. I would like to pet your wings, please."
Allune continues to smile, though she's clearly confused. "...Excuse me?"
"I'm homesick."
It takes Allune a second to connect the dots. "Right, your parents raise pegasi, don't they? Erm... I don't think mine are really quite the same..." An awkward silence falls. "...You still want to, don't you?"
Rhett nods.
Allune sighs. "I... guess it's fine... Just... promise to be gentle? You know how I am about flying."
Rhett nods again. "OK. I won't hurt your wings." He reaches out and gently strokes them. "...Your wings are very soft..."
"Um... Yep. They sure are." Allune nods nervously. "This feels... kind of awkward. It's like if I were... running my hands through your hair or something."
"You can if you want. If you also feel homesick," Rhett offers. "But it doesn't feel like a laguz' fur. Or Alice's hair. And you could just ask Alice to let you pet her."
"...Rhett..." Allune starts, then trails off, completely unsure where to even begin.
"You're right. Your wings don't feel like a pegasus'. But I still like rubbing them. Thanks, Allune."
"Just... make sure you ask permission, OK?"
"OK. Hey, Allune? Do you like being a hawk laguz?"
"Huh? Well, yes. I guess there's times it's kind of inconvenient, but people rarely treat me badly for it. Being able to fly makes it worth it. I love it. If I weren't a hawk laguz - or maybe a crow laguz would be OK, or maaaaybe a heron - I wouldn't even feel like me."
"You could be a pegasus knight."
"It... wouldn't be the same. If I were a Beorc, I would definitely do it, but..."
"You could be a pegasus knight even as a hawk laguz."
"...That would be... interesting..." Allune mutters.
Rhett stops petting her wings. "...I'm done. Thanks, Allune!" He runs off without waiting for a response.
"...Don't mention it. Seriously..."
The journey finally starts to draw to a close. It almost seems like everything went fine. For once. Almost.
Wyvern riders are visible in the sky over the port. They seem to be attacking a lone pegasus knight. What's more, they seem to be having trouble dealing with her...
