Age of Destruction: Fire Emblem CYOA

GAH. I forgot something important because I lost a chunk of the post due to server errors.

The shiny-shiny lady started moving a bit closer.

Quinn drops a lightning bolt on the weakened crow.  Pixie desperately claws at the other, and the two lock in an embrace and crash to the ground.  They both pull away from the fight with critical injuries.  Kurt throws a knife at the enemy crow, injuring its wing.  It keeps struggling to fight.

Stella takes off running north.  Suarrure cheers her on as she passes.  "Hey!  Don't let anything happen to that new chick!  Heh.  Get it?  Chick?  Because she's-"  Stella gives him a look of death before continuing north.

"Ah...  C-c-cat..." Pixie whimpers.  "I'm too weak...  This is how it ends?  Oh, wait, you're that... Stella?  O-oh, that feels nice...  Thank you so much...!"  The last crow attacks while Stella tends to Pixies injuries.  Pixie tears some of her wounds open again as she fights it off, finally wrapping a talon around its throat and slicing.

Nevyn swings at the bael.  It clips his shoulder with a sharp claw.  He swats the claw away and strikes the bael twice.  The spider snaps at his hand, and he responds by hacking more.  "Awoooo!"  He lets out a howl before leaping into the air and dropping down with a deadly cut.

Gale leaps at the arch mogall.  She slashes it deeply.  It gazes deep into her eyes and suddenly she feels magical rings snap tight across her body.  As the rings bind and crush her, a pair of monsters come lumbering out of the forest.  A bael rears up and stabs the ground, but Gale rolls out of the way - right into the waiting jaws of a gwyllgi.  With a terrible howl, two of its mouths grab her shoulders and hoist her into the air, while the third head hungrily wraps its fangs around her neck.  Gale screams and rips an arm free from the fangs and rings, stabbing its center head through the base of the skull before it can rip her throat out.  She slices through another neck as the gwyllgy begins to disintegrate.  She leaps onto the bael, kicking it in the face and slicing it as she leaps towards the arch mogall.  "I am not your prey!" she yells, stabbing through the monster up to her blade's hilt.

Rhett asks the bael to excuse him, then walks up to an arch mogall.  He taps his axe on his shoulder, then spins and drives the axe into the mogall.  Purple rings materialize and start to crush him.  "Ow..."  He grunts with effort and breaks the ring around his arms, causing the rest to dissipate.  "Die."  He grabs his axe with both hands and slams it into the mogall.

Lily runs at the arch mogall, swapping her tome for her rapier.  "You face the crown princess of Carcina!"  She takes careful aim and thrusts without breaking her stride.  She flings the corpse clear as it begins to fall apart.

Gin attacks the gwyllgi to draw its attention.  He thrusts, but it shifts its heads and avoids the attack.  The other head bites at him, but he blocks it with his shield.  It tries to swipe him, but he shuffles back, then quickly twirls his lance around to stab it in its body.

In the village, Isana runs towards the gwyllgi as it glares up at Allune.  She steps on its back and leaps into the air, throwing a pair of knives down into its back.  "Farewell!"  Isana land on the hilts, using her weight to drive the blades deeper as it collapses underfoot.

Drake lands and fires a stream of flame at the elder bael.  It throws up its claws to protect itself, hissing angrily.  It waits for him to pause to catch his breath, then rears back and lunges.  Drake can feel the venom instantly.  "Ungh...  Need some... antitoxin..."  He swats the spider with his tail and knocks it away, but it weakly gets back up.  It still has the strength to drive back a pair of pegasus knights when they swoop in to help.  Allune takes careful aim and fires an arrow that passes dangerously close to Drake to strike the elder bael's neck and finish it off.

Shep and Sylvia combine their magic, targeting one of the two baels.  A brilliant light flares up as they strike together.  The bael withers under the force.  The other bael skitters directly towards Shep.  It leaps, but he strikes it down with another burst of light, then another.  A pegasus knight drops down and finishes it off.

"Did we get them all?" Allune asks.

"There... will be more..." Drake pants.  He shifts out of his dragon form and drops to a knee.

The golden-white glow intensifies again, and everyone not preoccupied turns to face the source.  With a sudden flash, it disappears.  No, moves.  Alice hears an ominous whispering in her ear, similar to her beloved spirits... but distorted.  Warm breath brushes the back of her neck.  Her hair stands on end as she turns around.

Inches away are a pair of golden eyes.  Large fangs.  Pointed ears.  Alice recognizes the mount as a white fox laguz almost immediately, though something is wrong about it.  Before Alice can ponder it, she finds herself drawn to the rider.  Her bare skin is an eerie black, and covered in a pulsating, deep-blue runes.  Her lavender eyes shine brightly in the dark, and her long golden hair radiates a gentle light.  She's muttering under her breath in an arcane tongue.  More than the whispering, Alice can hear spirits floating around this woman - dark, distorted spirits that clash against Alice's own in an unseen battle only the two women seem to perceive.  The rune-covered woman stares down at Alice with a look combining interest and malevolence, with a hint of hatred.

"She's... a witch..." Lily whispers under her breath with just a hint of awe.

Hector roars and Rand guides him to Alice's side.  The witch suddenly lets out a piercing shriek and golden rings begin to appear all throughout the forest.

Shep takes a step back and flings light at the doog.  It collapses as Allune flies past him.  She takes a shot at the mogall, taking it down with a single arrow.  "Huh.  I think I'm getting used to this thing..."

Sylvia burns the nearby Bael.  Isana backs away from the elder bael in front of her, then runs to Sylvia's side.  "Help, Sylvie!  I'm counting on you!" she says.

"Huh?  Oh, uh...  Yeah!  I got this!" Sylvia promises.  She hurls another fireball at the bael and it bursts into flames, clicking angrily as it dies.

A pair of mogalls comes floating over its flaming corpse.  The smaller one glares at Isana, and the larger prepares to attack Sylvia.  As purple rings begin to materialize, the two attempt to dodge out of the way, crashing into each other.  The rings snap shut and crush the pair together, binding them together.  While they struggle to break free of their bonds, an elder bael comes skittering towards them.  Isana squirms violently, contorting to pull herself free.  "I'm here for you!"

Sylvia, still bound, drops to a knee.  Isana steps onto her shoulder, launching into the air.  She twirls and unleashes a flurry of knives into the mogall, killing it.  The arch mogall loses concentration.  Sylvia points a palm at it while it's preparing to attack airborne dancer.  "Together!" she calls out.  A massive conflagration engulfs the arch mogall.  Nothing remains when the flames clear.  The elder bael lunges while she's rising to her feet.  It bites her shoulder and she winces in pain.  She manages to fire a small fireball to drive it back.

A doog darts forward and snaps at Allune.  She fends it off with her bow.  Another elder bael clambers up onto a roof and stares menacingly down at Drake.  He groans, trying to think where he can find some antitoxin.  Nothing comes to mind, other than waiting it out.  And this elder bael doesn't look like it's willing to wait.

Kurt leaps at the mogall nearby, leaving a dagger in its tendrils.  He causally weaves through the spell it casts to counterattack, then throws another dagger to finish it off.  Stella tends to Gale's wounds.  She feels much better.  "Go, Kitty, go!" Suarrure cheers.

She hisses at him again and runs to aid Nevyn as he quickly strikes down one of the doogs.  As she treats his wounds, a mogall flies out of the darkness and fires at her back.  Nevyn grabs her out of the way.  "I've got you!" he tells her.

Pixie and Quinn attack the other doog before it can join in the fight.  Pixie manages to scratch it lightly, but it uses her as cover to avoid Quinn's lightning.  It howls and seizes Pixie's ankle, throwing her to the ground.  It goes to pounce.  She flaps her wings and propels herself back and clear from the attack.

Gale and Gin double-team an elder bael.  They land several blows, driving it back.  All it can do is defend, unable to counter.  Rhett quietly walks past and throws his hatchet, striking it in the head.  Gin jumps a bit as he appears out of nowhere.

A mogall attacks Gin, but he easily shuffles back and out of the way.  A bael comes between him and the mogall, attacking Gale.  She hops over its attack to slash its neck twice.  It retreats in pain.  As Gale jumps back, a doog tries to snatch her out of midair.  She twists, jerks, and lands safely, finds her footing, and swings her sword into its flank.

Lily, Rand, and Alice all attack the witch together.  Rand closes in and puts himself in front of the others.  Hector snaps at her fox mount, keeping it busy while Rand swings his axe down.  The blow strikes into her bare shoulder and sinks deep into her chest.  She shrieks and unleashes a wall of flames.  Rand's forced back as Lily attacks from the side.

Lily fires a dark sphere at her, but the witch flicks her wrist and it flips to the side.  "W-what?  What are you!?" she demands.

"L... I... L... Y..." the witch drones.  She clutches her head.  Purple flames surround Lily and she desperately dives to the ground to avoid them.  "Y...O...U...R...  F...A...U...L...T...  YOUR... FAULT...!  ALL... YOUR... FAULT...!!!"  The witch rears back and lets out a piercing wail.  Golden tears streak down her face.  More flames appear around Lily, then more, and more.

Lily looks around and finds no path to escape the fire.  She takes a breath and recites a spell, surrounding herself with a magical barrier.  The flames all crash together and erupt in a massive explosion, shattering Lily's barrier and sending her crashing into a tree.  She crumples to the ground.  A bael creeps out of the darkness, advancing towards her helpless form.

"Lily!"  Rand shouts and tries to fly to her side, only to be blocked by more flames.

"Hang on, I'm com-" Alice calls out.  She starts running, then suddenly feels something constrict around her ankle.  She sprawls to the ground.  A doog leaps from the trees and tries to pounce on her from behind.  Alice brings her unbound foot up and kicks it in the chest, launching it over herself.  She silently thanks Gale for teaching her that trick as she fires a sphere at it.  She doesn't stop to see if it hits, quickly scanning the trees for enemies.  The witch sees that Alice is vulnerable and quickly turns her attention from Lily.  "Y...O...U...  W...H...Y...  WHY... ARE... YOU...!?"  The witch is sobbing as she continues to attack.  More purple flames appear in the air above Alice.  Alice reaches out and attacks on instinct, blindly firing two more waves of dark spheres in quick succession towards a patch of trees.  A mogall is blasted out of the woods, dead.

The ring on Alice's ankle fades just as the witch drops the flames towards her in a deadly rain.  Alice throws herself sideways and rolls until she impacts a tree.  More flames appear and strike suddenly, and Alice screams in pain.  She takes a sharp breath and unleashes a cluster of orbs towards the witch.  They explode, and this time the witch screams in pain.

The bael reaches Lily and raises a claw to impale her.  Lily feebly raises her sword and deflects the blow.  She staggers to her feet, badly burned and bleeding heavily.  She yells angrily and slices at the spider's claw, cutting it off.  She yells again and plunges her blade deep into its carapace.  It flails a bit as she rips her sword free.  She breathes heavily as she struggles to stand.

The witch's fox throws her off.  The witch crashes to the ground, badly injured and still weeping.  She picks herself up and begins to float just off the ground.  She lets out another scream, similar to the one from before, but no more monsters come to her aid.  Instead, the fox begins to transform.  Alice watches expectantly to see what type of person the laguz will transform into.  The breath catches in her throat as the fox begins to grow larger instead.  Its snout widens, its tail becomes more reptilian.  White wings erupt from its back and it lets out a terrible roar.  A massive white dragon, larger than Drake and covered in a fine white fur, towers over the other fighters.

Same thing that happens to any plot-critical character that dies. They get to live, but only participate in cutscenes... unless they die after the point that they're plot-critical, in which case they're just dead.

I don't have a way to check with me... But I'm fairly certain it's 22HP, 12 most stats, 6 Res/Luck

If you get plot critical characters killed in Legend of Heroes, you just literally **** up the plot.

She is not.
As in she is still fighting.
