GX and I have been talking privately. She understands and even agrees with me, but she also understands the other side. I spoke my piece when I was worried, exhausted, and stressed. I fully intend to make my point again, in more detail, officially, and calmly.
GX has decided to host an open discussion on the topic, where we all can work out a compromise. However, due to the accident, she hasn't had time. Give it a few days. She'll be hosting the discussion because she's more neutral than I am. Otherwise, I'd do it myself.

In terms of the "move mailbags here", I don't really care since that rule was made because of ancient GameFAQs-format logic and I just never bothered changing it. I'm probably going to be an unhappy camper if we do the "spoiler everything that's not a question" route, because I tend to have the skit bleed into some of the questions (usually trolls, but occasionally in the serious ones too) and then I won't know what to do.

Yep. I know both sides have good arguements and bad arguements. I want to see what the priorities are for both and what they need, and see ideas of how to implement things. I want to make the choices that benefit as many as possible. I need to see what we need and how we need it to work. I'm the mediator first, an admin second. My first goal is to be neutral and help us alk come to agree on a solution. Then I'll put it into effect.
Everyone should advocate for themselves when the conversation opens up. That's why it's going to be a conversation, not politics. We all get a say, Crow says what Crow needs to say. Emppy says what he needs to say. You get the point.

Ugh... To be honest, I don't particularly want to have a debate. Partly because I can only expect it to get heated. And... Well. Frankly, I don't want to keep arguing in favor of smut! Even though I'm saying it's a censorship type of issue, it's hard to feel like you're on the right side when... you don't really... hang out with that side very often...

Well, I guess that's that. Somehow, I feel... a lot more disappointed than I expected. I guess I was looking forward to challenging myself to write something that far out of my comfort zone. And somehow I suddenly feel annoyed about the UB coins again. The fact I'm suddenly annoyed about something tangentally related like that... means I'm going to remove myself before I start behaving in an unbecoming manner.

I'm just gonna put this out here. There have been, what, 4 big arguments on the Verse? Maybe 5 at most? In 3 years? And each time I was involved, I was not in a good state of mind.
You may have forgotten, but I'm a leader in the military. Been to college, taught at college, grew up on lectures. You seriously think I'm completely incapable of civilized discussion?
Admin's perspective: I don't want this site turning into just another dirty fanfic site. If I let the Mailbag disregard all rules on descriptive text that might be considered porn, what do you think is going to happen? Some future member is going to think they can do the same and write a dirty short story, that's slightly worse than the mailbag, and when I mod it, they're going to point to the mailbag and say "Well, it was okay for them." That's literally what playing favorites is. Remember how you accused me of that before? And if I don't mod it, everyone else will take it as permission and do the same thing. Just because you all have self control and some understanding of boundaries, doesn't mean everyone does.
I'm perfectly willing to make a compromise. I know full well that total censorship makes it a little difficult to write. Been writing for well over a decade? Remember that?
Personal perspective: I have PTSD. Some triggers are very, very violent. Either you don't realize the significance of that or you flat out don't care. I'm inclined to believe the former, since you have helped me with my PTSD before. Rape. Domination. Humiliation. Brutal violence towards people I love or things I associate with them(Like characters, I.E Grigori brutally assaulting Eden in FT). Helplessness, people I love or things I associate with them(Again, like characters) being unable to protect themselves, and me being unable to protect them. These are my worst triggers. They are very real and very dangerous to me. You had Glinda naked, chained to a bathtub, completely helpless, on stage. In front of an audience. Who could have done whatever they wanted to her. If you think my reaction was bad, you're damn lucky I don't associate Glinda with GX in any way. Because you probably wouldn't be on this site anymore.
You need to respect that, Emppy. I don't give a flying crap what you think about me. But if you can't respect someone's severe PTSD, then there's something wrong. And it's not with me.
I am perfectly willing to try to reach a compromise. But YOU must be willing as well. And you have to stop being difficult and actually listen.

La sigh well since I am the one whos actually about to do a mailbag here is my 2 cents.
All of yall need to take a step back and get your collective breaths. Emppy Lana will still appear in her Tanooki suot along with maybe a 2 piece bikini. Now anything over the top or anything that could be considered R rated. I can't go there personally and I like to keep it pg 13.
Now why is it so hard for everyone keyword EVERYONE (note I am talking to all you Fletchings.) to see it from each others point of view. Yall need to step back and actually consider what the other side is saying. Is that really so much to ask from you all.
Emppy, Neo isn't saying cut out all the fanservice stuff. He says tone it down so that nobody can even remotely say its porn in any sense. I pretty sure it would have been fine for Glinda to parade around in a rather revealing bathing suit. Yet the one in particular seems to be the one in bondage it wasn't just that it was racey but because IRL it touched upon something very sensitive and it caused him to have a rather bad experience. I am just going to say unless you have PTSD or depression or any sort of mental promblem its not as easy as just saying get over it or just think happy thoughts. No its like a personal demon inside your head constantly gnawing at you. You want the voice to shut up but no matter how hard you try to tell it to stop it wouldn't.

Neo, your like an older brother and I have mad respect for you so know that what I am about to tell you I don't mean viciously at all. Yet Emppy and Crow feel like your trying to take away all creative work away more or less and part of the appeal of the mailbag is the whole wacky situations that our characters are put in which normally they would never. Now I am not saying hey lets dress everyone in completely tastless and overly offensive matter. Like it was brought up we all have a limit to what we can and cant take thats a given. Now Emppy brought up a good point when you had Silver appear naked and then Kitty Dragon. Now I am not sure but it sounds like there beef is that you seem to come down hard if Emppy did that but then you did the same hing. Like how the whole 50 shades of Arstur happened we more or less dealt with it.
Now this isn't meant to attack anyone but anytime things break down it becomes less of an actual debate and more mudslinging. Yes we all have our pride and Ego and what not and on a website typed words are hard to process from the other person perspective because we don't have there voice or tone we just have there words. So something that would sound harmless in real life seems like the worse thing in the world typed out.
(Thankfully nothing here on the Verse has ever had that much effect on me. Well nothing that i read. No my issue are things seem directed at me as a person or when I feel like someone is lookong down on one of the characters whether if they were an original character (ex. Bowser Mario Rosalina) or a character I created (ex. Lana Baron Catie. Yeah I get very offended by that don't even get me.started on the whole Bowser debate again.)
Now we are all saying that each and everyone of us has limits to what we can tolerate. Unfortunately on a public forum its very hard to tell what those limits are and where the line is. Now this is my solution we create a group PM and we all tell one another our limits. Now that way we all know where the line is and if you intentionally cross that line then your a serouis dick and deserve whatever comes ypur way. Also by making a group PM we can air out whatever the hell we need to air but don't have to worry about all these people seeing anything private.
Crow keep doing you man.
GX hopefully the entire campus isn't fill of toads or newts or spoons (GX is the girl next door living in a.college dormroom better know who her name because its Ash..... GX).
Now god dam people get a room or something and work this out. We ARE ALL ADULTS. Yes every single one of us is an ADULT even if sometimes we ALL dont act like one.
My deadline is Midnight EST on Saturday (or Sunday morning if your one of those people) I am still going to answer your questions and Lana is still going to be all Fanserviceie in a PG13 type of way. It will go on the main topic unless that has been changed permanently.
Now do I have to Sumia punch each and everyone of you (except GX she gets a nice big hug) so yall can stop going after each other and unite against me. My god people enough is enough
