Anyways, I've finished the statistic part of my character sheet, edited to match the new guidelines and point costs, but I used some attribute modifiers not present in the document you've made (Activation for a weapon, slight concentration for a force field, and I think that's it).
Can we have a very quick run-down of the world/solar/galactic/universal setting?

Maybe we should concentrate on getting everyone else's character sheet ready first, hmm? Before, you know, we move on to plot and setting.

Well the plot and setting are up to the GM and we have to base our characters on that so...I don't see a problem.
I foresee contentious gameplay-story segregation moments in this RPG's future anyways.

OK. Gotta do a whole buncha stuff tonight, so I won't be around to answer questions after this. And if I do get free time later, I'm going to use it to update WD. So let's run down what we've got.
Neo
Alternate Form. Think of it like buying a second character. You stick 10 points in this skill, you get an Alternate Form with the same base stats (Body/Soul/Mind) and 9 Character Points for each rank in Alternate Form (10 points each). The Alternate Form is, for all intents and purposes, a second character. This second form shares ONLY base stats (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and you'll need to buy it its own Attributes. It can also have its own unique Defects to increase the points for that form - Attributes/Defects that increase/decrease base stats are a good choice for radically different forms, thematically. Also I should point out that for, say, Magical Girls, the Alternate Form is the UN-transformed form. So you can focus on putting points in the Magical Girl form. So you may want to think about that with Draggy. Edit: Uh. Nope. Huge changes in 3e.
Also you can probably afford ranks in all those Attributes, but unless you take plenty of Defects you won't be able to afford many ranks, and you may find yourself too spread thin, and especially lacking in Skills.
GCF Weapons will be done with the ranking stuff and modifiers as per the rules, I just don't have it up on the guide yet. Attribute mods are also coming.
Bunny Uhhhh I'll post about companions tomorrow morning probably.
X I didn't explain templates before because reasons, but basically they're partially pre-made characters. A list of recommended thematic skills, more or less. There's a Pet Monster Trainer template.
Also Neo there's a Half-Dragon template. But it's not what you're going for, I don't think. I think you're thinking Space Manakete, and it's more... half-dragon.

Oh, yeah. And GCF. Phys Sci specializations. Sure, fine. Remind me to add it in in the morning.

Space Manakete, yes. Guess I'll have her dragon form be more "Dark Bahamut" style than "thousand foot long star serpent" style. So she can fight in the atmosphere in dragon form too. Or on the ground. She'll be about the size of a large Gundam in dragon form.
But I still want her to have psychic powers and stuff in human form. So, if Alternate Form is basically another character with their own skills and such, then I just create two separate character sheets, one for her human form and one for her dragon form right?

I'll... do a sample sheet of how to use Alternate Form in a bit. Re-do one of the sample characters I tried making. In the morning.

OK, wow, I was very wrong about how Alternate Form works. By which I mean I didn't realize how very, very different it was from the 1e rules. I'm just going to copy the rule over. It's long, so... A character with Alternate Form can instantaneously
transform into one other specific form that is determined
during character creation and approved by the Game Master.
Once selected, the choice of form cannot be altered. Alternate
Form allows the character to possess a radically different
body shape than his or her normal human form, and exhibit
exotic physical features as well. See the Metamorphosis
Attribute (page 40) for a variation on Alternate Form.
If a character only has a single, permanent, non-human
form, this Attribute should not be applied. Instead, the
character must acquire the relevant Attributes and Defects
that best represent the form’s capabilities. A character with
several different Alternate Forms should assign this Attribute
multiple times. The Attributes gained in the character’s
Alternate Form obviously cannot be Dependent (page 78)
upon the Alternate Form Attribute. Different Alternate
Forms can be built with different Attribute Levels as well. To
create a character with unlimited additional forms, see the
Dynamic Powers Attribute (page 29) or Power Flux (page
45) with a Shapeshifting speciality.
The extra form is built from 10 Character Points for
each Alternate Form Level, which can be used to acquire
Attributes and Defects. The character retains all the
Stat Values, Attribute Levels, Restrictions, and Defects
associated with his or her regular form. The newly acquired
Attributes and Defects add to the character’s normal form.
If the character’s Stats are modified by the Enhanced [Stat]
Attribute or Less Capable [Stat] Defect, the Derived Values
should be recalculated as necessary. Unless the GM indicates
otherwise, normal clothing becomes part of the Alternate
Form as well. An Alternate Form may only be assigned if
some disadvantage (social or otherwise) exists that make
staying in form all the time a significant disadvantage.
Reducing Attributes : Although the Attributes of an Alternate Form usually add
on top of the character’s base Attributes, sometimes the character
will need to “sell off” a few Attribute Levels to best match the
player’s concept. In this case, elimination of Levels returns Points
to the character, which can be allocated to other Attributes.
For example, a character with Level 4 Alternate Form can
add +40 Points to create the Alternate Form. If the character
wants to reduce his Superstrength from his normal Level 2
to a new Level 0, the character gains back the 16 Points spent
on Superstrength. Consequently, the Level 4 Alternate Form
now gives the character +56 Points (40 + 16 = 56) to spend
on new Attributes.
The reverse is true for “buying off” Defects: the Points
available for the character’s Alternate Form are reduced
appropriately.
If a character needs to reduce more than two Attributes
in his or her Alternate Form, or the secondary form is
intended to be weaker than the character’s primary form,
it is probably better to assign the Metamorphosis Attribute
(page 40) instead. First off, I was backwards - 9 points per level of Alt Form gives 10 points to work with. I'm going to say ignore the stuff about not lowering multiple attributes since eh. Don't forget stuff other than attributes for that form, btw (though technically Skills are attributes, I think?). Might want to add some defects to the form, too - impaired manipulation or speech, reduced skills (ex charisma)... Increased skills (intimidation). Lots of room to play. I got bored of what I was doing and started making some characters for fun. Generic Green Lantern's almost done. For learning items and weapons. Which I did instead of the Alt Form example (Phoenix) or that one someone requested (Raiden) or something to help Mr. Bunny and help me nail down mech creation (Nu Gundam)... Because I may have forgot to mention I'm adding the Cool Starships Big Robots or whatever it is expansion. But that's not something ya'll need to worry about... yet.

Well, you'll probably understand once the example comes out. Which'll probably be... a while. And your Awkward Size Defect rank will be 4 or 5 for your dragon form, I think. You said about the size of a medium mech, didn't you?
Fixed some typos in the Character Creation guide. Also found out that 11 of the skills had been cut off, including a few important homebrew skills that at least 2 characters would be interested in having.

OK. Green Lantern's done. Partly for fun and to practice, and partly to show how to use points to buy items and turn them into... something worth having. Though some of it won't make sense until I add a list of restrictions, modifications, etc. to the character guide. Since it has examples of modded/restricted attributes, unique attribute creation, and modding weapons.

I wanna make my dragon. I used to love making D&D character sheets for fun. Think I still have my old D&D flashdrive somewhere, with like... Hundreds of character sheets, rulesets for everything up to 3.5, full item and monster lists, maps, campaign notes and ideas... Just about everything on it. Remember back on Gamefaqs when we all wanted to do a D&D campaign, and we spent dozens and dozens of pages in the Q&A topic talking about it, then it never happened? What was that, nearly 3 years ago? Ah, good times, good times....

I know what s/he's getting better than I knew what GL was getting, so s/he should take an hour, tops.
