With that Corva hands Iris a blank Talisman and the two of them take their positions a opposite sides of the table. Bennita then takes her position standing to the side of the table between Iris and Corva. You chuckle a little because she is straight across from you. Bennita then then calls out, "Mages place your talismans!" To which both Iris and Corva comply, by placing their respective talismans in front of them on the table. Bennita then calls out the next command, "Mages at the ready!" Both girls ready themselves as their hands begin to glow, Iris' in that familiar pink hue, Corva's in a crackling mix of black and blue. Then Bennita shouts, "Inscribe!" At which both Iris and Corva begin frantically drawing on the talismans with their fingers. About a minute later both mages hold up a finished talisman. Corva's has five distinct glyphs on it; one large blue one on top, one large black one in the middle, one small blue one at the bottom, and two small black ones in the bottom corners. Iris' on the other hand has seven glyphs; one large one in the center, one small one above it, one small one beneath it, and for medium ones in the four corners, all of them pink and radiating power. Bennita chimes in, "We have a fenris glyph link from Corva valued at 35 points, and a grand invigoration glyph link from Iris valued at 65 point. Iris is the clear winner." At this Corva stammers, "I-i-impossible. Even a skilled sage would be hard pressed to make such a glyph. H-how?" With that she nearly staggers over, but continues, "I'll continue this in the morning, but for now I need to get some rest." And with that she heads for her room. Bennita then speaks up, "Congratulations dear, that was an impressive display, but I'm afraid I've had enough excitement for one day, I'll head off for bed as well. Good night young miss." And with she too heads for her room. Iris then addresses you, "Hey, I'm tired too. I'm going to bed, and no more phasing through me that was really weird and uncomfortable for me." She too then heads for her room.

Well what now every one is going to bed? A) watch over Iris, she is your partner. B) keep an eye on Corva, being weary of traps. C) patrol the perimeter, if you can't sleep you might as well be a look out.

Finally caught up. I vote A. Support points for when we get our physical form. I have said this before, but I'll say it agin. The MC never gets a physical form. it is essential to his role in the story (particularly "The Ritual") that he remain a disembodied spirit.

You decide it would be best to stay close to Iris, at the very least you can worn her if something happens while she's sleeping. Besides you don't fancy spending the first night you can remember alone. Man there is still so much you don't know about your self, you realy need to start solveing these mysteries or they'll drive you crazy. Anyway you enter Iris' room and to your suprise the leaves from earlier are gone. When did that happen, and who cleaned them? Well no use looking a gift horse in the mouth. You inform Iris that you intend to keep watch over her while she sleeps. Iris then yawns and replies, "Alright Mr. Wanderer, no funny buisness like at diner though." You assure her you have no intention of causing a repeat of that incident and she sets down the apothicary set on the table. She then climbs onto the hamok and situates herself. After you tell her good night she sleapily replys, "Good night." And then drifts off to sleep. The night progreses smoothly for a while, the room is locked Iris is asleep and you are hovering in the midlle of the room. Nothing interesting happens, Iris doesn't even snore, but apperently Corva does as you can hear her through the wall. Just as you start to hover-pace out of boredom somthing strange happens....

24 hour bump. Hidden Mechanism "The Wheel of Fate" in this CYOA once every in-story day I roll the RNG to determine the MC's luck for the day. Everything from enemy encounter rates, to recruit success rates, to story options, to stuff randomly appearing out of know where (i.e. the 5 copper note, or the apothecary bag) is impacted by the MC's luck. Luck possibilities include: neutral, good, bad, great, terrible, awesome, and nightmarish. The first day's luck has been good, a new day with new luck starts after the next story post. PM me if you are interested and/or have questions.

You quickly shout to alert Iris to the strange sphere hovering above her. As soon as you do however, the sphere evaporates without a trace. A few seconds later Iris stirs from her slumber, looking rather peeved. She groggily questions, "Unh, what's the matter? I was having such a nice dream." You tell her of the sphere, how it appeared, and how it disappeared. She seems somewhat troubled by your story but as she finds herself to be unharmed she also is confused.
