Seeing as you can't get to Iris, and that you are still worried about Corva, you decide to follow Corva. At least until you can rendezvous with Iris. After all Corva made it very clear she wasn't going any where until she talks to Iris, last night after the contest. As it turns out Corva was even more "eager" than you thought, as you find her knocking on Iris' door as soon as you followed into the hall. A few seconds later Iris pulls the door open and Corva charges right in. Corva immediately starts, "Alright, time to talk..." Trailing off as she notices last nights art work on the walls. You aren't sure how to explain the situation so you can't instruct Iris, but Iris speaks up on her own, "Sorry about the mess. I thought I sensed an unfriendly spirit, so I decided to take precautions. It was good practice any way, this was my first time attempting warding magic." At this Corva's face locks somewhere between dumbfounded, and irate. A few eternal moments later Corva responds, "Ok, who the heck are you!? You act like a neophyte who just started her studies, yet you cast like a master sage. I mean seriously how can you be so nonchalant about the kind of magic you wield?"

Iris looks to be unsure how to respond, what should you suggest?
A) tell Corva everything. B) tell Corva about you. {mc not Iris} C) tell Corva about Iris' elf heritage. D) make up a story. {custom option}

A. She is a party member now, and lying between party members causes betrayal. At least she'll be able to know she can trust us.

24 hour bump. none of the options will lead to Corva leaving, they merely effect her opinion of Iris and by extension you. The question you should be asking yourself is; is it better to tell an absurd truth or say what some one else wants to hear, and what does a jaded witch want to hear?

EDIT: Should I mark this post as a spoiler, since it is in response to your spoiler post before?
When I think of Iris, I can't help but think of Misuzu from Air. How many people thought she was crazy? Coupled with Iris' amazing skills, I don't see ANY story being too outlandish. Plus, Corva is literally asking for it. The dumbfounded look would be priceless!

Like the spoiler said there is no right or wrong answer hear, just a choice as to how Corva's perceptions will be affected.

Ps. I was not looking forward to writing this scenario because I'm not confident I can make it believable.

Boy is this a pickle, the witch won't likely let up about Iris' abilities and you can't think of any reasonable explanation. Heck the truth is so outlandish that even you can hardly believe it and you're a disembodied spirit who has no memory of existence before yesterday and yet you still have firm grasp of language and metaphysical philosophy. Man you can't even believe your own circumstances when you say it loud. Wait! Off topic. Right the main issue is how to respond to Corva. Guess we might as well tell her every thing we know, not like we have any viable alternatives. And so Iris begins explaining everything; the ring of 12, waking up on the beach, the wandering spirit guide ( hey that's me!), searching the thicket (highlights on specimens included. Yawn...), coming into town, checking in at this inn, helping Bennita, exploring the village, helping the Larmy brothers, meeting Corva (Pretty sure Corva knows that part), the spirt guide snooping around during diner (Hey! She doesn't need to know that part.), the contest ( come on you do realize the contest was with Corva don't you Iris.), then the sphere and warding incident, and lastly going to bed.(yeah, guess Iris wouldn't know about your adventure with Corva's sphere would she.) Corva stands there for a few seconds processing Iris' long winded tale, then she abruptly say's, "Ok then. After breakfast I'm headed out to hunt the tier 5 wave raptor that the guild sent me here for. I want you to come along." She then just as abruptly leaves the room. After standing dumbfounded for a few moments Iris queries, "That was weird right? She hardly batted an eye at our story but she couldn't accept that I could be kind an skilled at the same time." Your not sure how to react either, its not like you have much experience with people from which to draw comparison, but that whole exchange was just plain surreal.

Well what now? A) go to breakfast. Prioritize eating. B) go to breakfast. Prioritize Corva. C) skip breakfast and visit Ann's stall. D) clean up the graffiti in your room. E) get a head start hunting this wave raptor thingy. D) go back to bed this is all to much.
Ps. Corva's reaction was not a cop out on my part their is a legitimate reason why she reacted that way. It was that very reaction that had me worried as to how to make the scene believable.

I understand... she seems like the too cool for school type anyway, so expecting a huge reaction was probably a bit dumb from the start. Is Corva going now, or will she be eating with us? I definitely don't want her going anywhere by herself, nut it's just as unfair to send out Iris on an empty stomach.
But right now I'm thinking B.

24 hour bump.
Do you guys have a thing for Corva. I admit I put allot of effort into her backstory, more than most standard recruits but she still is a fairly minor character in the grand scheme.

She's our first recruit, and so she seems to be a huge priority at the moment. Besides, every character is an important one, regardless of how big their roles! No man (or woman) left behind! I don't think we'll lose her, but more development before others join is good.

All votes B. B wins. Be careful not to let Corva dictate too many of your choices otherwise this CYOA will turn into the Corva show, and that will probably be bad for the main story. Ag-1=110 Mg+1=5 Time+1:00=9:00

You urge Iris to follow Corva to breakfast and to go straight to the source to find the reason for Corva's strange reaction just now. You and Iris then promptly head out of the room and over to the lobby. Once the two of you enter you find one table set up with several plates of food and a teapot. The available fair is a plate of sliced fruit, a plate of biscuits, and a plate of dried whitefish. Corva has already prepared a plate for her self and is sitting down to eat. Iris hurriedly follows suit grabbing a couple pieces from each plate and sitting down across from Corva. The inn keeper appears to be absent which seems odd. Iris tries to strike up a conversation, "So... Hunting a wave raptor huh." Corva continues eating for a moment then replies, "Yes, the guild assigned me to bring in that mark. Its just busy work meant to keep me away from central operations." Iris responds, "Is that why you seemed to be in a hurry earlier?" Corva deadpans, "Ya, got get this goose cooked so I can get back to more lucrative jobs, got loans to pay off." Iris queries, "Loans, huh. Why you go into debt, Corva?" At that Corva sets down her plate and states, "I'm going to finish getting ready in my room, then I'm headed north up the beach. Meet me there and don't be late." With that she leaves the room.

Iris is almost done eating and Corva should need at least a few minutes to get ready. What should you and Iris do now?
A) grab some more grub. B) look for Bennita. C) rush over to Ann's shop. D) head to the beach for a head start. E) wait here for Corva.
