Hello, this is your fellow Verser (Versemate? Versee? Versator?) speaking.
This RP is for fans of the inFAMOUS franchise along with new folks who are interested. In this section, I shall explain Conduits and their abilities. Conduits (or Bio-terrorists) are human beings with a certain gene that grants them abilities far above a normal human's. A Conduit is just like any other person, that is, until their gene is activated. Once activated through a variety of ways that include exposure to Ray Fields, extreme mental or physical trauma, being activated by another Conduit, artificial activation, or being involved in a Ray Sphere blast, the Conduit undergoes many changes. If artificially activated, physical changes may occur such as change in skin tone or altered body structure. Anyways, once a Conduit is activated, they gain increased strength, stamina, speed, and durability along with a healing factor and the ability to absorb a form of matter or energy, hence the name "Conduit". A Conduit must absorb his or her own power source in order to redirect it, but with extensive training or hidden psychic ability, one may directly control their power without absorption. Once stored, the power source can be amplified and altered to change its properties, be it granting plasma adhesive abilities, or melting metal down before releasing it. Also, how a Conduit uses his or her powers heavily depends on their personality and what scientists call the Karmic Alignment. Those who are "Evil" generally have more destructive and indiscriminate methods of power application, while a character with a "Good" Karmic Alignment will have more precise and non-lethal applications.
In this section, I will explain the story of the games.
SPOILERS AHEAD!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
This is a summary of the first two games: www.ign.com/videos/2014/03/17/infamous-in-5-minutes
As you can see, in order to defeat the practically invincible Conduit known as the Beast, Cole activated the Ray Field Inhibitor, which was thought to kill every Conduit in the world. However, that was not the case. Seven years later, in inFAMOUS Second Son, the Conduit Delsin Rowe, whose power was to obtain and use the powers of other Conduits (This is thought to be unique. No other Conduit has exhibited such abilities before.) as if they were his own. Using these he rescued and redeemed several other Conduits after he had traveled to Seattle in order to save his tribe, which had been attacked by the leader of the DUP (Department of Unified Protection, an agency dedicated to imprisoning other Conduits. Essentially a military police force who had captured every known active Conduit.), Brooke Augustine, leaving them mortally wounded. Only another with the power of Concrete could undo the damage that had been done to their bodies. Anyways, after uniting several Conduits under his command, Delsin stormed the DUP headquarters and exposed Augustine, whose plan was to capture all Conduits as to protect them from the angry mobs that wanted their heads, before setting free all of the Conduits she had wrongfully imprisoned. Seattle, now accepting of Conduits because of Delsin's heroic deeds, became a haven for Conduits, but other cities still feared and despised them. The DUP disbanded and was replaced by several smaller agencies dedicated to capturing those Conduits who had escaped.
Now, the CDDA (Conduit Detection and Detainment Agency) governs the business of capturing active Conduits in the South-Eastern Shore of the United States, where our story takes place. Four months after the Good Ending of inFAMOUS Second Son, a Ray Sphere (a bomb that activates Conduits by killing non-Conduits and redirecting their life energy to said Conduits) explodes in Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia, destroying almost everything in a two kilometer radius. The start of the RP is directly after the blast, but there will be a timeskip to a week later shortly in order to advance the plot.
Anyways, now for important NPCs and organizations.

Vincent Banks grew up in Savannah, and was the only child in an abusive family. He ended up being taken from his parents and dumped into the foster care system every few years, while his parents or other relatives would eventually regain custody of him. When living with relatives, he would eventually be given back to his parents even though they were never officially given custody again, and the cycle would just repeat. While he was a teenager he was living in a fairly good foster home, but when the foster parents lost their jobs, they were unable to care for so many children, after which point he lived in one of the worst foster homes whenever his parents or relatives didn't have custody of him. He did, however, do quite well in school, and between his grades and his unfortunate circumstances, he earned several scholarships that allowed him to attend a good college, and study all sorts of different things in the medical field.
Because he felt he had no control over his own life as a child, he seized the chance to take control of it as an adult. His studies allowed him to see the life or death situations of which the outcome was decided by if someone recieved proper medical care. He began to see how doctors had a chance to play god. He saw how the research that created new cures and vaccines could save thousands. And he knew that he wanted to do something like that. He wanted to control everything.
While he was still quite young he started working for the CDC. He primarily studied how diseases were changing with time and adapting, but that bored him. He still hadn't found the control that he so desperately wanted and worked for.
It was during that time, while he was searching for purpose, that he met a member of the First Sons. He thought he had found a new purpose, but once again he found himself doing menial taks, until the person he met encouraged him to go back to the CDC, and do more research before coming back to the First Sons.
He went back, and it was right before he was going to quit that his Conduit powers activated. At first he was scared, thinking that it would change so much, causing him to lose control. But soon after he started to realize the power that he had, he began to believe that that was the control he always wanted. With power, came control. Normal humans would never be able to control someone with that much power, so he wanted to become even stronger.
After the events in Seattle, some of his old associates that had been part of the First Sons contacted him, and told him about their new group, the CDDA, and it's goals. Seeing his opprotunity to gain control over so much more than just his own life, he agreed and helped them establish the CDDA, and became the leader.
The more powerful Conduits they found, the more he realized that he could assemble an army of powerful Conduits that were loyal to him, and between that force and the respect the CDDA would have at that time after detaining hundreds of dangerous and notorious Conduits, essentially saving the public, Conduits could become the new upper class, the new elites of society. Never would they have to be outcasts, they would be the supreme beings, and he would be the most powerful man in the world. He would control everything.
---
Now we have Mark Dustin, the anti-hero. One of the first subjects captured by the First Sons after the activation of the RFI, he went through years of intensive testing, his powers eventually activating. They then continued to test him, over and over again. Weeks became months, and months became years, but all that was about to change. They thought his mind was dulling, but it was sharper than ever. He heard of a device called the Ray Sphere, a bomb that would kill normals but activate and strengthen any Conduits caught in the blast. The first one started the Plague, but the RFI had been activated. The Plague could no longer spread. One day, one of the guards carelessly delivered him undercooked meat in his meal. A fatal mistake to be sure. Using his power to control dead flesh, he killed the guard and broke his way out of his cell and made his way to the research facility, where lo and behold, there was a Ray Sphere intact. Mark knew what he must do. After making his way out into the streets of Atlanta, he activated the Ray Sphere, destroying much of the city, and activating every Conduit nearby. Finally, there was the power to take down the CDDA.
---
The Death Runners, a gang that seeks to take over Atlanta following the blast, much like the Reapers. Full of all sorts of scum and villainy, the gang's members grow every day, each bearing the symbol of a winged skull with crossed pistols where the mandible would be. There is something strange as the gang quickly increased in power a few days following the blast, the reverse effect it had on the police force. Currently lead by Lida Carroll, a Conduit whose power is to manipulate LSD. Lida Carroll was your stereotypical valley girl who lived in rural Georgia until her parents' farm burned down. At the age of seventeen three years before the blast, she fled with her younger brother Ryan to Atlanta where they lived as homeless until the Death Runners kidnapped Ryan and forced her to rob small establishments for them. Gradually, though, she began to enjoy the crime until she joined the gang voluntarily, though she kept Ryan out of it. However, after Ryan was shot and killed in a turf war, she became depressed and turned to a variety of illegal drugs to make her feel alive again. She then lead a small group of drug-dealing junkies, then the blast occurred. Her Conduit abilities activated and she took the opportunity to take control of the Death Runners. To destroy any and all rival gangs to avenge her fallen brother and strike fear into Atlanta.

The combat uses for powers follow a fairly strict standard in order to keep stability, and thus are organized into the following chart:
Power Drain: Power Drain Upgrade
Basic Shot: Basic Shot Upgrade: Karmic Basic Shot
Charged Shot: Karmic Charged Shot: Karmic Charged Shot
Secondary Power: Secondary Shot Upgrade: Secondary Shot Upgrade: Karmic Secondary Shot
Power Shot: Power Shot Upgrade: Karmic Power Shot

That was just an example of the upgrade tree, but always use this as a base:
Power Drain:
Basic Shot:
Charged Shot:
Secondary Power:
Power Shot:
Passive Power:
Power Melee:
Traversal Power:
Hover Power:
Comet Drop:
Karma Bomb:
These are the explanations of the powers that are in the form:
Power Drain is how much power you can hold and the upgrade is something that effects that, not the capacity itself (Quicker absorption, more efficient absorption).
Basic Shot is just the basic projectile (I.E. shooting a ball of sand)
Charged Shot takes a second or two to use, but its more powerful than a Basic Shot (Launching a wave of sand that could hit multiple enemies.)
Secondary Power is a non-shot ability that usually has a secondary effect (A sand grenade or dust storm that blinds enemies)
Power Shot has limited ammo per recharge and is like a missile (Launching a small whirlwind of sand that explodes on impact)
Passive Power is a passive power (Take less damage from X, get something from doing X, etc.)
Power Melee is melee (Creates Hulk Hands out of sand to beat the enemy into submission)
Traversal Power is the main method of transportation (Turning into a pile of sand that can move quickly and slide through small gaps or surfing on the ground by using a platform of sand)
Hover Power is just a way to slow a fall and move in mid-air (shoots a small stream of sand downwards to glide)
Comet Drop is falling as fast as you can to make in impact once you hit the ground that can damage enemies (Falls from the ground and punches it, creating a shockwave of sand that blinds enemies. It also increases in power the longer you fall)
Karmic Bomb is basically just a supremely powerful attack that is usable after doing a string of Good or Evil deeds (Creates a sandstorm that traps enemies in sand if Good, kills enemies if Evil)
You're almost done with this post, power through it.
The writing style will also be fairly uniform, as to avoid confusion. Standard text is standard text. "Quotation marks are used for dialogue." Italics are used for thoughts or accentuation. "Italics and Quotations are used for filtered speech, like from a loudspeaker. Bold and Color can also be used for accentuation.
Ex:
"But I like pizza!" Young Johnny begged his mother to give him another piece as he tugged on her dress. "I really, really like it! With the red sauce and everything!"
It's not fair, Timmy got three slices, and he's the younger one!
"ATTENCION!" A vaguely Spanish voice blared from the radio. "It's a la free Pizza night and Gonzales Pizza! Free Pizza with every purchase of a 40$ cake!"
