Waking Dream - Devil Survivor CYOA

You tell Rita that something this major... you really better be sure first.  You're going to go get ready, just in case.  You send people a few messages, telling them they should be ready for a fight.  You tell George and Daniel to be on their guard.  You also check to see where everyone is.  George and Daniel are near the edge of their farm, Rita's right where you left her, Gregory's faffing about downtown, Jackson's at the base, Elise and Kumiko are at your house...  Wait, where's Sara?

Oh... she's at the docks.

This... could be awkward.

You make your way over to your usual meeting place.  Your heart skips a beat when you see two figures on the edge of the docks.  One that you clearly recognize as Sara, sitting on a box.  Waite, fully dressed - including her sunhat despite the sun being set - does that make it a moonhat...? - is standing with her arms crossed on the edge.  They seem to be chatting amicably.  Waite nods as you approach and Sara quickly snaps around and waves.  "Hey, Kira!  Took you long enough.  We were just talking about you."

You walk up, doing your best to hide your confusion.

"I figured you'd probably want to give your girlfriend a kiss goodbye," Waite says with a knowing smirk.

"Are your legs OK?" Sara asks quietly as you get closer.  You nod and tell her it's fine.  She smiles and nods back.  "Good.  Your friend came and got me a few minutes ago.  I was a bit confused at first, but then I remembered you did mention something about training.  She said she'd need my help for something?"

"Nothing major," Waite assures her.  "It's just that she won't be able to bring her phone along, and I thought she'd prefer to leave it with someone she can trust."

"Huh?" Sara asks.  She suddenly seems a bit hesitant.  "Why can't she bring her phone?"

"Because she wanted to learn to use ice magic," Waite explains simply.  "And that means she'll have to get a bit wet.  Electronics are so fussy, I'd hate to break it.  Besides, it would defeat the point of learning to use magic without her phone to bring it along."

"Using magic without a phone... is such a thing really possible?" Sara asks.

Waite's smile widens.  She's been waiting for this question.  She spreads her arms wide, showing her empty hands.  You notice her subtly tracing a pattern with her foot.  After a few seconds, several massive tendrils of water erupt from the dock and loom menacingly.

Sara blinks.  "Oh.  W-well, that answers the question of if you'd be able to defend yourselves without a phone..."

"Haha...  Easily," Waite promises.  "Don't worry, I'll get her back to you in one piece."

"And you say Kira's going to be able to learn how to do that?"

"Baby steps," Waite says.  She lowers her hand and the tentacles crash back down into the water.   "Maybe someday she'll be able to give you a... private demonstration of something like that?"

Oh.  Great.  Now Waite's teasing her, too.

Sara's flabbergasted for a moment, then snickers.  "Saw right through me, hm?  Haha...  Well, if it helps her motivation, I don't mind letting Kira experiment on me a bit..."

Oh.  Great.  Now they're teaming up.  At least they seem to get along.

Waite looks up at the night sky.  "Hm...  If you want to make the deadline, we need to get moving."

"Right...  Well..."  Sara stands up, walks over to you, and gives you a quick kiss.  "You're sure you're OK with this, right?  It's not too late to back out if you don't want to do this.  I trust you... so... if you're sure you trust her..."  Sara holds out her hand to take your phone.

(A) Right, let's do this.
(B) Um... y'know, let's not do this.

I guess I will vote A but before we do asks Waite if this is part of the lesson about not being quick to just accept things. You know the first thing you taught me a while back.

You hesitate for a moment, and step around Sara.  You ask Waite if this is a test to see if you absorbed that first lesson, or...?

Waite looks a bit taken aback, then giggles softly.  "Haha...  Well, I wasn't just testing you.  First thing we're going to do is jump into the river.  But I'm glad to see you realize you'd be completely powerless if I had... untoward intentions.  It's nice to see my apprentice taking my lessons to heart.  In this case, no test.  Just a decision whether you trust me not to... what's the saying?  Not to screw you?"

How is it you two didn't choose to date Waite again?

The reason we didn't go after Waite from the beginning was because Sara was established Waifu from the beginning. Waite was creepy stalker. But I think after we went to the world of Bass and Vorvi we kinda of started hanging around Waite more.

If you're expecting me to agree just because it's the same genus, you're wrong. Not when one of the options is both a witch and a doctor (...in training).

Your probably right but more so because we would fall out of whatever portal we are in because we see Fish Waifu as an actual fish and then we panic and get all freaked out. But I don't think Demon maybe she's like a Zora one of those fish people from LoZ
