You ask Sara why she's asking. Is she... thinking about quitting?
Sara pauses the stretch session. She gives you a sad look and shakes her head. "No, I'm just... I just want to know that you're OK with it."
You tell her it sucks and you miss her all the time, but... You understand. No, you explain, maybe you don't understand. But you do know it's important to her, and you won't ask her to just quit.
Sara nods solemnly. "Thank you... Kira..." She goes back to helping you stretch, busying herself looking down and away from your face. "It... means a lot to hear you say that. Thank you..." She sniffs and wipes her face, then taps your knees. You reflexively kick out at her. "Good. Looks like you're in one piece... Well, let's give it one more test, hm?"
She gives your sole a playful tickle, laughing as you squeal in surprise. She grins and carries on her attack. "Kira...! It's not fair how cute you are, even dressed like that..." She sighs and stops, jumps up, and helps you to your feet. "Feel better?"
You give her a nod. You actually feel pretty fantastic - you hadn't noticed how badly your legs ached before.
"Now... I could be mad about before, but, y'know, with how little time we've got together, I'm not going to waste it on petty fighting. And, honestly, it's... um..." Sara pauses, then continues in an uncharacteristically shy whisper. "It's kinda... hot how strong you are."
She clears her throat. "A-anyway. No hard feelings about before, right? So... How about I just let you make it up to me with a nice massage?" She pulls off her shirt and stretches out on the bed, then tosses her bra aside. "C'mon, ple-e-ea-a-ase? And I'd love to hear about what all I've missed..."

This is good but I am sure Sara wouldn't mind us flirting with a slightly crazed Witch/Goddess/ Someone right. Tell her we are doing this for Science. I kid I kid of course. Digi's choice is fine |

You acquiesce to Sara's request and take a seat next to her, starting her massage with her shoulders. "Ah...! Right there... But harder," she pleads.
You mention breaking up George and Gregory's fight, and she nods. When you mention exploring the inn, she turns her head to look at you. "You shouldn't go looking for trouble like that..." she admonishes you. You hesistate before going on the talk about being drug off to the Dreamlands. Sara bolts up, but you push her back down and keep telling your story.
You explain that Bast and Vorvadoss were the ones that took you there, to stop those witches from taking you somewhere worse. "That doesn't make me feel any better," Sara complains. You get to the part where Waite showed up and Sara gives you a questioning look, but doesn't interrupt. You get to returning home and move on to Sara's back.
You tell her that early on your phone was stolen. She turns and looks at you in concern, and you gently push her back down again. You tell her Elise agreed to help, and Sara lets out a guilty sigh. "I guess I owe her even more than I realized."
You tell her you all went after the thief and found him in the library. But you also found a demon. You tell her about the fight, and mention that you almost died. But Elise sacrificed herself to give you a fighting chance. Sara keeps her face buried in the pillow. Everything worked out in the end, you assure her. You start to move further down and feel Sara quickly shift behind you. She turns over, wraps her arms around you and pulls you back into her lap, gripping you tightly from behind and burying her face in your back. "Keep going," she whispers with a cracking voice after a few seconds of silence.
You tell her that's just about everything. You ran into the woman in the white dress, Waite, at the docks afterward. She used some weird magic to clean up the river. When you went back later, she offered to teach you to use that sort of magic.
Sara grunts in acknowledgement. You can tell feel a few tears staining your back.
(A) Wait quietly until Sara calms down
(B) Ask if she has opinion about the magic tutoring thing
(C) Ask if she wants you to help apologize to Elise
(D) Wriggle free and face her
(E) Suggest going for a walk

You start squirming, wriggling around to face her while being careful not to seem like you were pulling away. Sitting in her lap, she looks up at you guiltily. You return her embrace and she buries her face in your chest. She's trying to hide it, but you can see her shoulders shaking slightly as she chokes back her sobs. You pat her back reassuringly.
"Y-you... Y-you you you could have... died... Or... Or wor- or w-worse..." Sara chokes out. "And I wasn't... I wasn't... I wasn't there to h-help... And then I... I... The o-one who... who did help you... Eh-Eh-Elise, I..."
You haven't seen Sara this upset since her mother died. You quietly hold her, rub her head, and wait for her to get it out of her system. After a few moments she leans back, but refuses to look you in the eye. "Wouldn't... you be better off without-"
You flick her in the forehead before she can finish whatever fool thought she's got in her head. She looks at you in surprise as you wipe the tears from her eyes. You remind her about what she said earlier. You've got precious little time together, and you don't want to waste it being upset with each other. Instead of being upset about it, she should just focus on making it up to you.
Sara nods, then lets out a soft laugh. She wipes her face and nods more enthusiastically. "Y-yeah... Th-thanks, Kira... And I'll definitely make it up to you. Later. But for now, can you just... hold me for a bit...?"
You spend some time cuddling with Sara. You feel much closer.

It's so comfortable in Sara's arms, you can't tear yourself away. It's a struggle just to stay awake. You can tell she's calmed down quite a bit. You snuggle up a bit closer. Sara sighs and rubs your head.
A few minutes later, Sara gently shakes you awake. "Hey, Kira... I think I... Well, I think I understand why I was so upset. I don't think I really trusted you. I mean... I trust you in a lot of ways, but I wasn't trusting your strength, if that makes sense? Er..." You can tell she's a bit flustered. "OK. I need to trust that you can take care of yourself. Or that you can get to me or find someone else to help you. I shouldn't worry about you, I should trust that you'll be there whenever I come back... So I'm going to. To trust you, that is. Instead of worrying about you all the time."
You tell her that's good to hear. You'd hate to waste all your time worrying that she's wasting her time worrying about you in a vicious cycle of worry.
Sara laughs at that. She wraps one arm around your waist to pull you closer and flicks off the lamp with the other. "Now, about how you mentioned wearing those pants... We really should get you out of them."
You snicker at that terrible line. She shoves you playfully. "Hey, you say a bunch of goofy stuff." You point out it's different when you do it, because it's really cute.
"Shut up," she says, trying not to laugh. "On second thought, I'll just shut you up... How about we practice locks and holds for a bit...?" Your rematch is over before you knew it began. In a heartbeat she's on top of you, locking your arms, her weight pressing you down against the bed, her legs intertwined with your own, her tongue probing for yours...
You spend some time with Sara. You feel a bit closer...
A while later, you stagger out of your room. Sara says she's going to nap for a bit - but she wants you to come back before too long for the next round. You make your way downstairs and find Elise sitting in an armchair, still dressed in a bathrobe, calmly flipping through a book. She glances up as you approach, gives you a nod, then looks back down to her book. "Have a good ride wit' your mot?"
(A) "Put some clothes on."
(B) "Are you doing OK?"
(C) "Ask nicely and maybe you could join us next time."
(D) "Sara's planning to apologize to you - be nice when she does."
(E) "You know it."

Even if they would listen t' me after this kerfuffle, I ain't got a cause to put them back togeth'r. Kinda nice not t' have t' worry about babysittin' them fools, I'll admit. But now looks like m' schedule's a lot freer... Oi, Kira, what d'ya do t' keep yerself entertained?"
You tell her your time's pretty well divided between walking around and talking to people, trying not to die, and running into trouble.
Elise grins. "So, what do ya think I ought do?"
