"Don't be so hard on yourself," you tell George.
"Right, right," he says. "I already got my butt whupped fer it. No sense cryin' over spilt milk, right? Jus' learn my lesson an' move on... Uh, thanks, Kira." He picks himself up. "Anyway, whatcha doin' all the way out here?"
You explain you wanted to check on him.
"Oh... That's... real sweet o' ya," he says, scratching the back of his head. "Yeah, like I said, I'm fine. So... er... Uh... How're what about you? How're you doin'?" he asks awkwardly. "Ya took a few hits in that fight, too, y'know."
You tell him you're fine.
"Ah, fine. Fine's fine. Er... So... What're ya... up to?"
You tell him you were hoping to speak with Daniel.
"Oh, yer headin' to The Farm, then? Well, why don't we jus' go together?"
You and George stroll down the dark, tree-lined road with just a little moonlight to light your way. Alone. In uncomfortable silence. Eventually you start checking through your fusion options. You spot a few that catch your eye, but decide to hold off for now and think some more.
"Ya ain't never been to The Farm, have ya?" he asks. You shake your head. "Well, yer in fer a treat. Yer comin' at the perfect time o' day."
You ask what he means.
"Oh, you'll see," he tells you.
A few minutes later, you do indeed see. A brilliant light hovers on the horizon. You stare in wonder, not quite sure how to describe it. But it's so bright... You can't stop staring. As you walk forward, you can't help but feel like a gnat drawn toward a bug zapper.
The Farm is, unsurprisingly, a farm. Fields of crops and trees sprawl for acres, with a few people still out working, harvesting crops. There's also a small barn, an old-fashioned wooden house, and a large well. A recent-looking addition sticks out from the rest, a large wooden structure - some kind of housing, you assume. AAs you get closer, you realize the light's not coming from any one source, nothing man-made. It's coming from... everything. Everything pulses with a gentle glow. "Neat, huh?" George asks.
You admit it's beautiful, as well as a bit terrifying.
"George!" Daniel calls from the house. "You're back! Where've you been?"
"Uh... Well..." George says.
You give a brief explanation of what happened, much to George's dismay.
"...I see," Daniel says. "George, I'd give you a whuppin', if you hadn't already got one. Learned your lesson?"
"Yes, sir."
"Good. Go clean yourself up," Daniel says. George obediently heads into the house. "Thanks for taking care of that fool, Kira. Even walked him home. How can I make it up to you?"
You tell him it's not a problem.
"Well, tell you what. If you need somethin', just give me a shout and I'll come running," Daniel promises.
You ask whether Daniel has a few minutes to speak.
"Well, sure. What do you want to talk about?"
(A) The obvious question - what's with the glowing? (B) What life on The Farm's like (C) His favorite animal (D) How he and George met (E) What he did before the demons started appearing
(Also, fusion poll/debate's still open)

"What's with the glowing?" you ask. Hopefully you aren't being exposed to some kind of weird radiation.
"I have no idea," Daniel admits. "It started doing this shortly after the demons started appearing, then the crops started coming in ten times faster than before."
You tell him that sounds pretty suspicious.
"Yeah, I'm almost sure it's the work o' some demon or another. I wouldn't touch the stuff at first, but... we're pretty desperate for food, y'know? So I started trying it, and I never got sick. After about a week, I was convinced it was fine, so I started passing it out. Turns out people'd rather eat something weird than starve," Daniel says.
Very suspicious.
"I'm almost sure it's the work o' some demon," Daniel says. "But I ain't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. If some demon wants to help us out by helping our crops, I'm not going to complain."
Very, very suspicious.
"Well, I figure all demons ain't bad, right?" Daniel asks. "I mean... there's the kinda neutral-mercenary types that are willing to fight for us for money - er, macca - right?."
A pair of arms wrap lovingly around your neck. "Hm-hm-hm..." Lilim Black chuckles in your ear. "Or other things."
"Just so, ho!" King Frost announces.
...Did they let themselves out of your phone?
"Yeah, see? So, maybe some demons are actually trying to help humanity."
Possibly, you admit. But it's still suspicious.
"Anyway, I'll have George run you home. It's late, and dark. Call me old-fashioned, but a young lady shouldn't be heading home alone this time of night. Especially now, what with all the demons."
"I'm doing what now?" George asks, coming out of the house in a clean set of clothes.
"Running an errand," Daniel says. "To make up for the stupidity you pulled earlier."
"Yes, sir," George says. Daniel tosses him a set of keys, and he leads you to a row of trucks. He takes a moment to figure out which one the keys go to, then opens the door and lets you in.
He asks where you live, and you tell him. "Oh, yeah, I know that road! Have you there in a tick!" As you pull off down the country road back into town, you watch the odd-colored glow fade into the distance.
George weaves through the trashed streets, avoiding ruined cars and other obstacles. It seems like you keep getting forced further and further from your destination...

You come to a halt near a street corner in front of an old wooden building, blocked by a large pile of rubble. "Consarnit," George groans. He goes to back the truck up and turn it around, but something catches your eye and you stop him. Kumiko and Gregory are standing in front of a building yelling at each other, while Rita stands to one side, clutching her chest fearfully.
Confused, you jump out of the truck, and George follows you. You call out to the group. Kumiko and Gregory whirl around to face you. "H-hi, Kira," Rita greets you. "G-George..."
You ask what's going on.
"I just had an urge to go for a walk and ended up running into this jerk!" Kumiko yells.
"No, I just wanted to go for a walk and ended up running into this jerk!" Gregory echoes.
"I... was j-just following Kumiko..." Rita says.
You stop to catch your bearings. This place is pretty far off from both your house and the hospital. This is the older part of town. This is... a strange coincidence. You ask why they came this way.
"Huh? I... dunno. I was just wandering around," Kumiko says.
"I was just going the way I felt like," Gregory says. "And what are you two doing here?"
You tell him about all the wreckage in the road leading you this way. The four of you fall silent, looking at each other in confusion. Wait, four?
Rita pushes open the door to the ancient wooden building and pokes her head in. You ask what she's doing. "S-sorry... I thought I... saw something..."
You stop to look at the building. It's got several windows and three floors. A worn sign is mounted above the doorway, but you can't make most of it out. You try to think if you know what the building is, but you can't seem to remember anything about it. You ask the others.
"I... don't remember this place," Gregory says.
"Never been in it in m'life," George tells you. "Actually... Wasn't this an empty lot?"
You... aren't sure, but... You turn to ask Kumiko, but she's gone. You see her disappearing into the threshold. Rita's gone, too - inside, you assume. You suddenly feel a strong urge to head inside, as well. Gregory's already heading towards the door. George grabs him, and it's like he's ripped out of a trance.
"What-? Hey, let me go!" Gregory demands.
You place a hand on each of their shoulders. There's more pressing matters to attend to. You hear a shriek from inside, and you break into a run, flying through the door without a second thought. It's like you already wanted to, and that was just the excuse you needed... You see Kumiko already heading up to the second floor, frozen in her tracks.
"It came from the third floor," she tells you.
(A) Head up there immediately (B) Explore the first floor a bit first (C) Check out the second floor first (D) Nope, time to go. Rita's on her own.

No time to waste! You take off up the stair, jumping up two at a time. You can hear someone else - Kumiko, you assume - running up about a floor above you. George and Gregory jockey for position a bit behind you.
"What happened!?" you hear Kumiko ask. You crest the final stair and see Rita leaning feebly against a wall across from an open door. Kumiko is standing halfway between you and her. Rita meekly raises a finger and points through the doorway.
Kumiko runs forward and looks through the door. A few seconds later, she pulls herself back. Her face is white as a sheet. She leans against the wall beside Rita. "Ugh..."
You can't help yourself. You step up and peer into the room. It's made of wood, and oddly misshapen. One of the walls slopes slightly inwards, as does the ceiling. But that's not what catches your attention.
The bedsheet is stained crimson. A few feet away, a stone bowl lies upturned on the ground. You don't have to look too hard to tell that it isn't rust flaking off of it. An odd knife lies next to it.
The worst is the far wall, the one that slopes in. On the floor by the wall sits a small skeleton - human, and no more than two years old, if you had to guess. A large hole in the wall reveals more bones on the other side. Many more bones. So, so many... Some, you think, are human, others are definitely not.
You're forced to take a step into the room as George and Gregory push past you.
"God Almighty..." George says.
"Holy Hell," Gregory agrees.
A quiet, skittering noise behind the wall grabs everyone's attention.
(A) Investigate the wall (B) Check the knife (C) Nope. Time to GTFO.

You want nothing to do with any of this. This whole place just feels... wrong. Your every instinct is telling you to flee. You shove George and Gregory out of the room, then make for the stairs. You tell the others to get a move on, and hear them fall in behind you.
As you round the corner of the final set of stairs, you just barely catch a glimpse of a woman - that woman - outside the door before it slams shut. You try the door, but of course it doesn't work. For a moment, you think that woman's trapped you in here, before you hear the sound of several loud thuds against the door, followed by what sounds like some kind of spell slamming uselessly against it. Is she... trying to help you get out?
"H-hey... Kira? I... don't......" Rita collapses to the floor like a doll whose strings were just cut.
"Huh? Kira, what's... ungh..." Kumiko manages to drop a bit more gracefully.
You see Gregory stagger a bit, while George's mouth moves comically up and down and side-to-side and... why is everything... moving so weird? Everything's so blurry... Everything is so messed up... You blink several times, forcing yourself awake. A large cat-creature is standing in crouched in front of you, prepared to pounce. You jump backwards, instinctively flapping your wings, as it leaps for you. An empty cloak places itself between you and the... You realize how humanoid this cat is, and how familiar it seems. When a pair of burning lights appear in the cloak's empty cowl in place of eyes, you realize you're looking at Bast and Vorvadoss... though they aren't in your phone, they're standing directly in front of you.
"No, Bast," Vorvadoss is scolding her.
"But... but... she looks so delicious!" Bast protests. She looks at you, licking her lips. "I could just eat her up..."
You break out of your awestruck trance and start taking stock of your surrounds.
...You have no idea where you are. But you're definitely not inside a small little boarding house anymore. With your vantage point, hovering a few feet in the air, you realize you have a pretty good view. Purple-hued hills stretch as far as you can see... which isn't very far, considering you're at the bottom of a large valley. And all your friends are right beside you. Bull, Snake, Not-a-raccoon, and Bat. Yes, everything about this seems totally normal, you think to yourself as you land and start to preen your feathers after that sudden wake-up call.

You continue preening, not a care in the world, except that cat staring you down. But Vorvadoss seems to be keeping Bast in check. Snake's coiled up in a little bundle, Tanuki's playing around and smacking its stomach. Cow and Bat are staring at the rest of you in disbelief.
"Um... W-what... What's going on!?" Bat demands.
"Is that... Is that ya'll? What... What am... Why am I a cow!?" Cow yells in a panic.
...Huh? You realize that you're a... crow. More importantly, you remember that you aren't... supposed to be a crow. You're supposed to be a human. Why are you a crow? And why are you cleaning yourself so absentmindedly? Why do you know how to fly? Why-
"Calm down," Vorvadoss commands. "All of you."
"Where are we?" Snake-Gregory asks angrily.
"What's going on!?" Kumiko adds.
"I said calm down!" Vorvadoss yells.
"What's the best way to explain this...?" Bast wonders aloud. "OK, so... someone was trying to take you somewhere, so we took you somewhere first!" Blank stares all around. "OK, um... So, there was some evil, creepy force trying to drag you into some weird alternate dimensional pocket to do who-knows-what to you, so Vorvi and I drug you somewhere we know before they could snag you! Think of it like magical tug-of-war."
"...That didn't answer anything!" Gregory points out.
"You're in The Dreamlands," Vorvadoss tells you. "Which is why you're in those forms. Things are different here."
"For example, we can manifest physical forms more easily!" Bast says. "See?" You rubs George's head. He seems to be enjoying it...
"Um... s-so, who was... someone was trying to... pull us somewhere?" Rita asks.
"Oh, right, yeah, that," Bast says, as if she forgot about it. "Hey, Kira, you had some demons you wanted to fuse, right? We should do that quick."
You tell her what demons you wanted to fuse, and eight points of light slowly emerge from your phone.
"Gotcha!" Bast tells you, waving her finger wildly. "Four fusions, coming up!" The lights slam together, and demons explode from the impacts.
"...Reporting for duty," Man in Black tells you. At first glance, he seems like a normal human in a fancy suit with sunglasses, but you get a glimpse of his eyes behind his shades. You're completely sure he's a demon.
"Yeah, let's suck some life out of some people," another Kumbhanda says cheerfully.
"Mjolnir will break your foes," Thor promises, holding his hammer menacingly.
"I'm Lailah, angel of the night..." Lailah tells you. "So... shall we?"
You expect the demons to disappear into your phone, but they don't. "They're here," Vorvadoss warns. "The ones that tried to abduct you."
A beautiful young woman seems to step out of thin air. Her thin, silken robe leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination. Another, older woman follows shortly behind her. You get a better look at her appearance. The air shimmers slightly as she seems to slip through an invisible door.
"Fallen Witch," Bast tells you. "They all have spells... Plenty of curse-type spells, lots of status effects, a few elemental attacks. Luckily, only a handful of them have offensive magic. Get ready to fight." More and more women keep appearing, until you're surrounded by six groups of three. "We don't have the energy to directly interfere, so it's up to you guys. You know how it goes, pick someone to sit out!"
(A) Rita the Bat (B) Kumiko the Tanuki (C) Gregory the Snake (D) George the Cow

Well, time to get your team together. What needs changing?
Also, I dunno whether Digi just picked names off the list of possible fusions that sounded cool or if he put a lot of thought into it, but some really good combos came out of it. Grimoire for MiB, Anti-Curse to remove Thor's only weakness...

Oh. Right. About Boss Battles
During boss battles, your only objective is to defeat the boss monster. Powerful allies will join you during boss battles. They won't be able to fight themselves; however, they will provide useful support. They can be attacked and defeated. While their defeat isn't a game over, you'll be weakened considerably. Bast: Slightly restores HP/MP each turn Vorvadoss: Slightly increases attack and defense

"We'll give what support we can," Vorvadoss tells you. He and Bast stand side-by-side and begin channeling some kind energy. You can feel power flowing through you.
You ask how you're supposed to fight in this body.
"Just... just trust your instincts, Kira, it'll be fine!" Bast says.
The six groups of witches form an arc around your group.
You tell Rita to stay out of the fight as best she can.
"A-are you sure? You're... um... I want to help, too..." she says, hesitantly starting to fly upwards.
"Then provide support!" Kumiko tells her. "Keep an eye out for us!"
Last chance to make changes to your formation.
(A) Stay on the defensive (B) Preemptive attack before they can close in (C) Split up
