What quest must you do to get to Grank?

You are definitely not ready for G Rank.
Neo isn't even at G Rank yet.

No, but you can trade for his parts. *smacks head* Should have known. Most, if not all, the water monsters can have their parts traded.

What quest must you do to get to Grank? Woah, buddy. Slow down. G-rank is above High Rank. I hear 4U added Apex mode as well... High Rank comes after Low Rank, which you're on now. The monsters are stronger, faster, and have boosted health. Not to mention 4U also added a virus/infection thing that really amps the difficulty. G-rank is higher than that. That's all I can say, as I need to replay 3U after I reach G-rank in 4U so I can do 3U's G-rank.

I keep this sword then at some point I'll have to choose between water and fire. If I ever get to such a point.

This game sometimes... *laughs*

I just killed Low Rank Tetsu with my new Hunting Horn.
It was great.
I'm using the Kecha horn because of its notes.
It has Purple, Light Blue, and Green, giving me the best support horn you can have. Even though I can't buff attack or defense, I can heal effectively, give high-grade earplugs, and protect you from being snowed/mudded/webbed.

You mostly will, Digi. When you start reaching monsters with elemental weakness.
Though it's best to make as many elemental weapons as you can, and switch between them depending on the monster.

Or you could just use the Fatalis or Magala weapons, because they're Dragon, and most monsters worth their salt are weak to Dragon.

Well, I probably will, but would it be okay if the weapons were in the same class or should I switch that up too?

Well, I probably will, but would it be okay if the weapons were in the same class or should I switch that up too? If you're comfortable with one weapon type like SnS, you can always just pick up SnS sets with different elements, and you'll be fine. And Neo, whenever you're ready to hunt, let me know. If Golurk could join that would be really nice too.

I decided to sleep in today, so I just got up. Let me splash some water on my face and get something to eat, and then I'll be ready to hunt GX.

May I ask what weapon class(es) you each use? Is paralysis just lightning element or is it shown somewhere else?

Paralysis is exactly as the name implies; it has a chance to temporarily paralyze monsters. It's extremely good on Dual Swords and Bows/Bowguns, and is very helpful when hunting in a party. I use the Charge Blade, Long Sword, and Dual Swords. GX, I'm ready to hunt now.

It took me 20 minutes to hunt a Low Rank Rathalos and a Zinogre with the Hunting Horn.
Zinogre was a pain especially, since the HH slows movement down a lot.
