And Golurk, you can't even begin to compare my Dragongem streak to an Umbrage on the first cap. Not only is Dahren easy, but he has 8 or 9 total possible carves. Including the rewards, that's essentially a 50% chance per hunt to get a gem.
But an Umbrage? AND a Rathian Ruby, without even trying?
You guys have absolutely no idea how lucky you are...

*hugs* GX, you weren't useless. Stygian Zinogre is a completely different story from regular Zinogre. That was my first time fighting him, and hoo boy. I love you  |

Yay! I got a Celestial blade! *So far behind everyone else*
I think my primary weapon class is gonna be sword and shield. I like to have a defense. Anyways, I suck. I need more practice and stuff. I died against Velocidrome...

Fluke or no, I need to decide what to do now. I need too many damn gems. I need a Zinogre Jasper from a normal Zinogre so I can upgrade my Lightning LS, and I need two Stygian Zinogre Umbrages to upgrade both my Water CB and Water LS. But I don't want to fight Stygian again until my Lightning LS is upgraded. Right now, it doesn't do squat against him. There's no way I can solo Stygian without upgrading it.
And I need a Rathian Ruby to upgrade my fire CB, which is something I desperately need to do. But I also need more materials to make Pitfall Traps, and Max and Ancient Potions...
Gaaaaaaaaahhh!!!

I'll help you farm, Neo. I'm okay with fighting Pink Rath and I would help with both forms of Zinogre as long as I can use SnS. Lance is too slow for fighting Zinogre.
Plus, I want to farm Stygian Zinogre anyway. I want his armor.

Yay! Thanks a ton. I've decided to farm normal Zinogre first, cause an upgraded Lightning LS would make cutting off Pink Rath tails a cinch.
And yes, Stygian has the best looking armor for female hunters IMO. It also has some pretty damn good skills. My main set in 3U is G Rank Stygian. I fully intend to farm G Rank Stygian in this game too, so I'll happily make the High Rank version as well.

I just fought Lagombi for the first time in 4U.
I have to say that I utterly destroyed him, killing him in less than 2 minutes.

So, what element should I absolutely avoid using against Zinogres? Normal Zinogres: Weak to Water and Ice, resistant to Thunder and Dragon. Stygian Zinogres: Weak to Thunder, Dragon, and Water, resistant to none. Stygian is a rare case. While his armor gives craploads of Dragon Res, the monster itself is surprisingly weak to Dragon. |

Then I should have just stayed with SnS last fight. It's Dah'ren Mohran, so it's water element. At least I don't have to make a new weapon.

I died against Velocidrome... Don't be surprised. When I first started the game, I thought it was a new monster. Apparently it comes from Freedom Unite. But yeah, he's pretty fast. You mostly have to learn how i dodge quick and precisely. Afterwards, he's pretty simple. You've probably farmed Seltas enough for the Celestial Blade. >.> I need to do a few guild quests, but improving HR is main priority. I should probably advance the story... |
