.... Okay, this game has now officially pissed me off. They've brought back disappearing quests from 4U. I only need 1 more Kirin Horn to finish the armor and suddenly, poof! I no longer have access to the village quest to hunt Kirin. Screw you too game.

Really? I think there's 2 of them, though. Doing the one on the mountain should unlock another Kirin hunt in the forest.

I don't think you've reached village 6 Star, have you? If you have, and you're certain, well, then I'm just not seeing it. But I did the Kirin hunt at the Arctic Ridge three times and now the quest is gone. |

I finished Fated Four this weekend. And I did the Jungle Kirin hunt last night right after Dreadqueen stomped me a second time. Speaking of, she can fight an Exhaust phial for about 35 minutes before she has to feed. I also managed to get her limping.
BOTH the Kirin hunts are gone from my list. So I guess the other's a disappearing-type, too. Ew.

Christ. Are these deviants... immune to my Exhaust phial? Shellhead wasn't reacting either. Assuming her behavior's similar-ish to a normal Rathian, I was able to get her under 50%. Barely. Those poison fields are interesting. I noticed her poison's more potent, but it's also shorter-lasting. The real problem was that there was nothing to split her attention. I could take 4 or 5 hits. My Palicoes were just getting shredded. With real hunters and proper aggro-management, I'd say it'd be totally doable if we had GX and/or Lurk. X, you'd need to forge some much, much stronger armor first. whats wrong with my armor meanie???? But yeah before i went to sleep crafted much better armor and leveled it as much as I could after we were done. Oh now I can hunt with you guys and start mining things you guys like to mine. |

X, you'd need to forge some much, much stronger armor first. whats wrong with my armor meanie???? It looks nice, but its numbers aren't good enough... 's why I don't wear pretty-pretty Bhenhabra armor all the time. That and my other Gunner armor gives me bonus quest rewards. I think I read it gives that bonus to the whole party, actually. |

Kirin is not easy for me. At all. In fact, she's the first monster to cart me so far IIRC. At most, I've only ever carted once before this.

Holy crap, I just got my first decent Talisman in the game from Kirin. No slots, but it has Mounting +10. Mounting God here I come.

Kirin's armor is pretty much the same as in the older games. Really skimpy and obviously designed solely for fanservice, with good thunder and dragon resistance, good defense, and Elemental ATK Up and Divine Blessing as skills.
