Did you try using the friend's list instead of searching? If that doesn't work, go to the DS settings and test your connection.

Internet stopped working and now the room isn't popping up. Guess I'm done for the night.
Edit: NVM, it's back.

I went with Shellhead because I think he's super-easy. But we could also try Redhelm, SuperBunny, or Dreadqueen...

Christ. Are these deviants... immune to my Exhaust phial? Shellhead wasn't reacting either. Assuming her behavior's similar-ish to a normal Rathian, I was able to get her under 50%. Barely. Those poison fields are interesting. I noticed her poison's more potent, but it's also shorter-lasting.
The real problem was that there was nothing to split her attention. I could take 4 or 5 hits. My Palicoes were just getting shredded. With real hunters and proper aggro-management, I'd say it'd be totally doable if we had GX and/or Lurk. X, you'd need to forge some much, much stronger armor first.

I'm fairly certain all the Deviants are immune, or at least extremely resistant, to all status effects. I do have much better gear now than the last time I fought her... With the Rathalos set, I have over 200 defense and a crap ton of fire resistance. And with the upgraded Gore SnS and Adept Style, she shouldn't be nearly as hard. I can just Adept Roll through the poison clouds. Hmm.

I made a special axe, just for her. Power phial and electricity. Code: KIRIN.
9 o' clock tonight, who's in?

Kirin isn't so bad in this game. Though Orochi Kirin would probably be easier if he was in the game.
I need to farm Teostra for a bit to unlock his LR bow so I can use it once I unlock HR Teostra.

By the way, did you notice how easily Shellhead got out of that pitfall trap? It seems like several monsters have ways to just pop out of them. Though shock still seems reliable.

Monsters that burrow underground are more resistant to pitfall traps and can break them. Electric monsters like Zinogre are immune to shock traps. Normal Shellhead can break pitfalls. Probably not even worth trying to use them on Stonefist.

I did try. He broke out so fast you apparently didn't even notice he was in it. It was fast enough that he dodged my draw attack.

I need 5 more Electro Sacs to make Kirin's armor... Which means I have to farm Khezu. Why does Kirin's armor need Khezu parts.

I hate the stupid freaking desire sensor. Broke both wings, no wingtalons. But I get a plate. I'm going to need some help farming Astalos before we fight Dreadqueen.
