Bruh, where you're at in the game, Lissa is 14. And IIRC, Donnel and Ricken are both younger than her. And why do I keep getting called out on dragons? Why can't I get called out on furries or something?! From where I'm at, they all look like they could be older than they look. Nowi looks specifically younger than she's supposed to be, even if she was human. |

If you're going to keep using Donnel, save the Second Seal for him, since Villager is kind of bad (like a FE8 Trainee unit) and his weapon XP for Lances is useless since his better classes don't use lances (Axes/Bows and Swords/Axes).

Basically, Donnel has Magikarp Power.
Class change at 15. He can't Master Seal as a Villager.
And he does get Bow Knight too, Emppy. It's worth it if you want movement.

I forgot :c Then again, I have an irrational dislike of bow knights. I've never used one in anywhere besides FE4 to the point where I know it's a better option for Neimi in FE8 to promote to one, but I make her a sniper simply because I think the bow knight sprite looks ugly. |

Yes. Because Bow Knights aren't really all that great anyway. Well, aside from their butts. They have powerful butts, that are objectively good. But the Bow Knight as a whole is not good.
Also because none of us are Bow Knights around here, so no offense taken.

Intermission 2: A bit of grinding.
I want Maribelle and Donnel to level up. I might as well try to boost up some other units too, like Kellam, Lon'qu, Virion, Gaius, Miriel, and Nowi.
...oh my god Nowi's in a bikini. Good going game.
Well, I was doing ok until Miriel got one-shot, Lon'qu got double teamed, as did Gaius...man I shouldn't have chosen the map filled with wyvern riders...luckily thanks to Kellam Maribelle survived 4 attacks in a row. Nowi went down after basically having no way out, followed by Virion, Maribelle...Well, at least Frederick can solo right? And Kellam isn't going down without a fight. In fact, having Kellam tank and Frederick next to him to counterattack is really effective.
Anyways, that sucked. Probably my worst battle yet. And I didn't even level Donnel to 10.
Let's try that again. NOT A WYVERN MAP this time...and it went really smoothly. Had a close call with Gaius but he managed to dodge at the right time.
Hm...Miriel and Kellam got their C rank. That's actually really adorable. But Donnel still isn't level 10. ONE MORE TIME!
Yay, Donnel's level 10. Then he got arcfire'd. But it's ok the level sticks. Same with Virion...these mages are stronger than I though they'd be and OH MY GOD THEY KILLED FREDERICK. ALL IS LOST...oh wait, Kellam, Lon'qu, and Gaius can one-shot these guys. Nice.
Anyways, that string of epic failures is over with, let's see what it's got me. Well first off, Lon'qu and Maribelle are at C-rank, but I'm more interested in the next level classes at this point.
Donnel can't rank up, but he can become a mercenary, which would make him redundant with Gregor. Or I could use him instead of Gregor...I'm only keeping him around because I like him, so he might as well take Gregor's spot for that. On the other hand, Maribelle can go Valkyrie. Lon'qu can go assassin and free up space Virion would take. Arg, too many decisions!
Well I could just burn gold and do all of them.
Donnel -> Mercenary Advice heeded. Waiting until 15.
Maribelle ->Valkyrie
Lon'qu -> Asassin
And done! Please don't ridicule me for my poor decisions.

Eh, Swordmaster gets better skills, and Maribelle and Lissa are both characters that could benefit from a Second Seal, but it's alright, especially since Assassin gets bows.
And the only reason I say level 15 is because when a character's in a class that learns a skill at level 1 and can't use a Master Seal, it means they learn another skill at level 15. When they learn a skill at level 5, it means they learn another at level 15.
Also, levels cap at 20, unless they're in a special class (like Donnel, Nowi and Panne's) which does so at 30.

Let cool off with another chapter or two. It's not like anyone is waiting for me to post in an RP or anything. Besides, I can't let myself go forgetting what's going on in the game. Chapter 9: EmmerynWe begin with Aversa killing someone off screen even though they're perfectly willing to show our heroes getting cut down in battle. Looks like Emmeryn is about to walk the plank. Time to throw her a lightsaber and toss Gangrel into a Sarlacc pit! Or...throw her executioner an axe. In the face. That works too. See, why can they show THAT but not Aversa slitting a guy's throat? It's sand again, so I'll take Cordelia and Ricken instead of Kellam and Panne. I'll have to make sure they don't get too far ahead again though. I see winged troops, so I will have to keep my healers and mages well defended/paired up. Alright, there's Libra, and Tharja at last. I really hope I remember which one is her...I wouldn't want to accidentally kill her. Libra's handling herself really well against these mages, but I better beeline some pegasus knights her way just in case. Oh good, she can heal herself. ...wait Libra's MALE? I better go edit that song then. See, that's what I get for using just a list of names! And honestly, thanks for not spoiling that. THARJA KILLED HERSELF ON RICKEN. ...do I restart now? ...I seriously have to consider that. You know what, yeah I'm doing it. Stupid spoilers altering how I play the game. This time I'm strapping everyone who isn't a mage or on a pegasus to somebody who's a mage or on a pegasus. There's no reason to leave stragglers and I want to speed this up. I'll make sure to get Chrom up to Tharja ASAP. Theeeere we go. Tharja get. Isn't she sooo edgy...and what the hell is she wearing? I haven't seen anything besides her face up until now. She's almost as bad as Nowi  . Anyways, the boss fell easily enough. Oh goodie, I got a dracoshield. And Phila goes the way Sumia would have if I wasn't playing on casual. Random archers are very contrived and they don't exactly do a good job o explaining whether or not it's an ambush or just coincidence. So far my "fixing the time paradox" bit is holding out though. And now I get a plot choice! Hm...I want to see if the game has the guts, so I'll sacrifice her. Yes. ...something tells me that would have happened no matter what I picked. But anyways, lets see if she stays dead or is she rises after 3 days. Can I fight a boss to her theme music now? Whoever does Gangrel's voice could probably pull off a decent Joker. And oh my god Basilo is Samuel L. Jackson. Or Nick Fury. Support time! Ahahaha Tharja's about to make Donnel's dreams come true. I WOULD like a barracks decked out by Maribelle for tea. And BS Nowi's hundreds of years old when she uses words like "bestest". Sadly that chemistry I saw between Sumia and Frederick is faltering as the support ranks up. Oh well, I might as well go through with it. Robin and Cordelia reached C...Cordelia doesn't seem to have much in the way of identity at the moment. But I can't lump her into a cliche which is good. I suppose there has to be a balance there. Anyways, there's a new Paralogue open. I'll see you there. |

Paralogue 4: Anna the Merchant
I think I know what happens in this one. Also, isn't it nice that I can just leave Plegia and come back to deal with Chrom's sister dying on a whim?
I'm liking the pegasus knights too much to drop them now. I'll take Tharja instead of Miriel to see how she does.
Anna is dodging eeeeverything. I like this. It makes my job easier.
Robin crit-countered the boss for a oneshot. I should probably think about finding one of those class advance things for Chrom and Robin. Anna cleans up the last guy for the win, and there we have it.
I think Anna's salesperson puns are going to get really old really fast. Oh well, I think Nova Mailbag kind of obligates me to fit her into my party. Hm...maybe I'll retire Kellam.

Robin and Panne got closer that last round. I just realized that Panne is basically the native american analogue in this. Pocahontas bunny!

One round before bed.
Chapter 10: Renewal
Right into a random fight. I'm guessing that this means there's gonna be a lot of plot after the battle. The music is rather soothing right now, I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that I'm supposed to have done this right after Emmeryn's death.
Anna is currently my strongest unit. I'm thinking I should have class changed Lissa since now that Anna, and Libra can heal and attack, a pure cleric is kind of underwhelming. I'll drop Lissa for Miriel since she's level 9 and I might as well get her to the point I can class change her, even if it's a toss up between her and Tharja.
They even seem to acknowledge that this fight seems forced. I actually rather like the fact that story develops on the battlefield. The music suits it too. Although this is all credence towards the idea that the game is literally about love not war.
These guys aren't giving me that hard of a time. Some of them are even retreating which is a nice touch. I suddenly had the bright idea that Donnel and Anna would make a cute couple (merchant, villager, Paralogue buddies, one is poor and the other loves making money), so I'm going to see what their supports are like.
Oh goodie, I get another Beaststone for winning. I was wondering what would happen if Panne ran out.
Hi Olivia. Aren't you supposed to do something cliche or stereotypical so I remember who you are later? Speaking of cliche, Robin gives Chrom a nice friendship pep talk that would work for either gender. I do like the fact that others chime in with their support. Even though my units can't die, I can get the significance of this scene if they could.
Buying some more Master Seals. Robin is going Grandmaster, and Chrom would be going Great Lord, but I want Lissa to stay relevant so she's going Sage instead.

Tharja and Lon'qu do not look like their relationship is improving. Even though they're meeting in the Barracks twice. Ricken and Nowi....I'm not going to touch that one.
Frederick asks Virion stuff for the sake of exposition. I suppose that's the game here.
If you want to know more about someone then get all their supports. Otherwise you just have their first impression of a stereotype...I mean, nobody is actually defying their stereotypes yet, but at least they're fleshed out.
Where was I? Oh right, Frederick and Maribelle. This just gives me more motivation to see what Frederick and Cordelia are like. If only it wasn't so inefficient to combine two powerful units on the battlefield like that. Maribelle and Robin are...bland.
Meanwhile, Robin is sneaking into Lonqu's tent. I'd probably go with this pairing if I didn't know ahead of time what's going to be forced on me next chapter. PFT, I take that back. Lon'qu and Tharja. That's going to be a thing. I want to know where this goes.

Anyways, I decided to do some grinding maps to push ahead some supports. Yeah, got me hooked. Lets see what we got.
Intermission: Support Time Bonus Round!
Lon'qu and Tharja are working out nicely. I suppose it's one way to learn more about Lon'qu. I like Miriel and Ricken just to see more of science!Miriel. Ricken and Nowi are just kind of meh.
Frederick and Cordelia don't seem to have the same spark as Sumia did. But I think that's more because I know zilch about Cordelia besides her fem-Frederick tendencies. Still, this route promises to go into Cordelia's past...I don't know if I'll bother.
Maribelle and Chrom went up another rank. Look out Robin, you have competition. Although really, Maribelle should marry Lissa.
