I agree with several points I see here. I hate ChromxSully and ChromxSumia. And I also holde the belief that the game was really designed with the ChromxFemale Robin pairing in mind. But I don't care for their supports much either. Let's face it, Chrom's supports with any potential candidate for marriage are kind of bad. His best supports in this situation, in my opinion, are with Maribelle. But because of a certain recruiting dialogue, I like to pair Chrom with Olivia.

My list of people I like pairing Female Robin with is pretty short too. Libra is probably my favorite. But I like and or find the following to be fairly entertaining: Virion, Gregor, Gaius, and I think there's another I'm forgetting. I also happen to like pairing Robin with *SPOILERS* because of the persistence he displays, and because the romantic relationship actually does develop from the start, although only in subtext, and it doesn't come out of nowhere in the last support.

Seriously, though, I'm disappoint.

Intermission: Longfort Challenge

There are random enemies on the map so I decided to try fighting them. This time I'm going to use the people I haven't really been using, just to see what they're like. So Lon'qu, Virion, Donnel, Kellam, and Frederick are in. Oh hey, I got a sword called "Roy's Blade". Neat. The optimize items options is also REALLY useful.

...HOLY SMOKES that's a lot of em! At least I have virion to kill the pegasus riders...is that one riding a Wyvern? I am so glad I brought Frederick for this.

I originally had them split into two groups, but, the people at the top are getting destroyed. Better to stick together so I can force engagements with my stronger guys.

aaaand before I could do that, there goes Lon'qu. Dang throwing axe.

...to the parents of Donnel the Shepard, we regret to inform you that your son was lost in the line of shepherding duty, and that he will be missed and never- oh right, he's just "retreating" from taking three arrows the face, awesome! He got a few swings in. As weak as he is, he makes me think there could be some sort of pay off...or he could be the joke character. But I like him, so I'm gonna keep trying to do things with him. NO SPOILERS.

And now Kellam is stuck taking three archers on his own since the only one who managed to regroup was Frederick. Good thing he has that shield. The archers literally can't hit him.

Meanwhile up top, Robin is getting hit form all sides. Thank you Chrom for saving her life like twice now. And Virion is getting so lucky, that's twice now he's been hit down to 1 hp. At least it gives Lissa a workout.

Three times Chrom has saved Robin. My problem is seriously archers. I need to pay more attention to where they can hit from...maybe it's the UI but I definitely haven't been paying enough attention to the "danger zone". Anyways, we're down to one archer now, so I'm gonna get Frederick collect sparklies before finishing off. This round, I don't care if Chrom and Frederick cleaned up, Kellam MVP.

Hoo that's a lot of barracks and support talks to go through....and I just realized that I have not been using the Pair Up system at all. I was under the impression that "Pair Up" was just being next to the person and getting those stat boosts. Anyways, that's something to try out.

Did Virion and Robin just invent Chess? Miriel and Stahl ranked up and they weren't even in that last battle. And Chrom and Robin are having the cliche "I've never seen you as a girl" talk.

For the record, I'm not doubling up on the list. So Chrom's list has Robin, but Robin's omits Chrom.

How the hell did Lonny get hit by a Hand Axe on Normal? Is that even possible? Also, yay. Chrom's support with Robin has higher priority than Sully. There's still a chance.

You'll face a lot of enemies using Hand Axes, HD. But Hand Axes have terrible hit, and early game axe users are pitiful on Normal mode, and Lonny has really good avoid, even if you haven't raised him and he's unpaired. Couple that with the Weapon Triangle, and you get why Emppy and I are so flabbergasted he was killed by a Hand Axe. By all rights, he shouldn't have even been hit.

Lonny is your main Avoid Tank of the game, at least of 1st gen anyway, and he usually dodges everything.
