Phoenixes are basically self-immolating eagles. Stop insulting my Kanis! I still have zero idea what you mean by insulting Kanis. Last I checked, Trail was not tapping a humanoid Phoenix. Please elaborate. Also, Golurk, I'm not sure what to do here. I get the plague stuff, but I expect dark fantasy with outlawed magic, betrayals, royalty abusing their people, sexual abuse(implied), and a whole slew of other things. It's what I typically expect in dark fantasy. For the S.Abuse, don't kill me. I don't like it, but it kinda fits in a dark, grim setting where everything is all screwed up and there's little hope. I kinda want to make a cowardly character, but I'm not really sure the setting would fit with him. Can we also have a list of professions besides Paladin and what-not?

Well, there'd be hunters, smiths, farmers, bounty hunters, dancers, the usual.

Kanis is known as the White Phoenix Empress, remember? And her sister, Terra, is a legitimate Phoenix Laguz. Got it memorized?

Nothing is original any more, and just when I thought I was going unique with something. *Sighs* Oh well, I recall a quote, "Stop searching for something original in your writing. Nothing is original any more. The best you can do is take a similar idea, and format it to your own ideas. As humans, we've read plenty of books that have out current ideas as unpublished writers in them. Does that stop us? No. Nothing is original, and people have to learn that. An idea can be tinkered with until it is your own creation. It may not be unique, but YOU made it."

You essentially want Berserk in RP format? A friend told me to read it, and I will one day. Even told me about how dark and medieval it is. So yes, I do. Real life Dark Ages were terribad. When I get in the mindset of writing something medieval, I try to stick as close as I can to it.

Also, Terra isn't just a normal Phoenix. And UB!Phoenixes are different. On a related note, whenever I hear the name Tyr, I think of Dayton's CYOA, Tales of a Plegian Dark Mage, since that was the name of his MC. I didn't know you liked Germanic mythology though Fen-Fen. That's kinda cool. Anyway, we should continue this in World Discussion, cause it's getting kinda off topic.

Originality is never impossible.

And I do like the name Tyr, but I prefer it with an e added. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought it was a little Norse Mythology, too? I thought in Norse, Tyr was the god of war, but I'm probably wrong. Anyway, I'll make my character. If you feel like continuing this, you can just say your response in EWIad.

Tyr was both god of war and justice.
He had his hand bitten off by Fenrir.

Tyr was both god of war and justice. He had his hand bitten off by Fenrir. In one version, yes. At the time of the Vikings, Tyr had to make way for Odin, because Odin became the god of war himself. Tyr was then regarded as Odin's son, and in that version, his hand was bitten off by Fenrir and he was killed by Garm on the day of Ragnarok. However, in the oldest(And original version) of Nordic mythology, Tyr did not feature in the Norse pantheon.

In the city of Helmgarde, times have been tough for the past ten years. A weak ruling class and the ambitions of the Stouts caused much of the citizenry to be left impoverished. Trade had been monopolized and the lower class elves had grown reckless. An uprising was sure to occur until the plague struck. Mass deaths, no treatments, and no one willing to look after the sick decimated the population of all of Gransen. Many towns had become anarchical, capturing and slaughtering those they thought responsible, be they nomads or nobles. After six years of plague, the Pantheon has supplied the idea that witches are responsible for the contagion. This caused a surge of trials, even though magic was a fairy tail. There was no magic, no wonder. It was just fear. Despite this, even those under the god of healing, Manuel, have joined this inquisition. Paladins travel from village to village, leading the goose chase against any and all who are deemed to be witches. Sign-up sheet: Name: Race: Gender: Age: Appearance: Profession: Biography: Name: Nagimura Homura Gender:Male Age:15 Appearance: Nagimura is quickly recognized for the star-shaped scar on his left shoulder. He stands at 6'1 being tall for his age. He has the physique of a dancer; slim, but with muscle. He makes an intimidating teen, but his demeanor is ironically contrasting to it. His dirty-blonde hair is normally tied in a ponytail, obscuring his ruby eyes. He typically wears quite the fancy white-and-black suit for his trade, but is used to taking it off for...Dancing reasons. The one with the most hesitant and frightful look in the story. Profession: Dancer Biography: Nagimura is the son of a former exiled knight and a woman he had a one-night stand with on his travels for his kingdom. His mother raised her bastard son, promising him that his father would return to claim him. This was for naught, as the knight did, but had already wedded a woman of the court. This shook Nagimura to the core, and his view of marriage and trust was forever shattered. It was around this time he was bullied. When the plague came around, his mother perished, but managed to send him through an escape route. Scared and frightful, having never been one for defending himself, he was rescued by a dancing troupe. While never getting close to any of them, they were his family. They gave him the name Nagi-Kun, and raised him. He was able to glimpse a little at what an actual family was truly like. Despite this, Nagi is very cynical and is a blatant coward that will give in to the demands of most people. He has been known to stand up for himself when he reaches what he calls a, 'Snapping Point'. His view of the world is twisted. He has learned self-defense in using an axe, but he often has a defeatist outlook on things in life.
