Pearl was beginning to blush as their position registered in her head. She pulled him into a brief kiss as Rhea casually drank from her tea cup. Jet and Wha-Wha were still prepping the duelist. Pearl held Arcturus even closer, "Seeing something that awesome from you would make my legs give out."

"Sadly, it's not as awesome." Arcturus sighed as he shifted their position so he was at her right side. "It's actually pretty weak right now, and not at all efficient. It needs more refinement for it to be worth the time and mana it requires. However, I will show you when it's ready."
He pushed a little bit away from Pearl so he was sitting about half a meter from her right before lying down, resting his head on her thighs.

Pearl sat up and put her top back on. She ran her fingers through his hair. Rhea asked her, "Ready to start again?" Pearl responded, "As ready as them."

"Wait wait wait, start what again?" Arcturus asked with a befuddled tone of voice. "Oh, the duel. Yes, we're ready. Why are you asking us though?"

"Pearl doesn't like to miss a moment, so I always check with her to see if she's ready. I usually comb her hair too, but I think she's comfortable with your head in her lap." Tafl and Alucard finally re-enter the arena. Rhea gives a nod and they go into battle stances.

Arcturus nodded in affirmation at Rhea before turning his head to look up at Pearl's face.
"I love you." he told her before planting a short kiss a few inches below her navel.

His kiss sent a shiver through Pearl's body. She let out a cute moan before pulling him up into a wild kiss. Alucard no longer wearing his upper body armor, used his sword to block Tafl's half shifted claws. Tafl flew up off the momentum and unleashed waves of flame energy from his wings. The flaming blades cut into the ground around Alucard as his sword dance deflected the beats. A lotus pattern emerged from the scorch marks. Alucard super jumped to slash Tafl, but he flew underneath him and got Alucard in a backbreaker.
Jet turned towards Elia, "So you're royalty, you don't sound like you enjoy the role too much."

"Oy, goin' in is a bad idea boss. Place is suppose to be filled with witches. Le's jus' rob the senator like planned."
"Ha, now this is a first. Dredd, the Copycat avoiding a place filled with women. Has Jethro, the Mocking bird finally gotten into that thick skull?"
"Nuthin' like that. I jus' get a bed feelin' from that place. Ain't no riches waiting in there."
"So then stay here and wait. You can also wait here while all the girls give thanks to us in anyway they can."
".....I hate you so much boss. How come you always get your way?"
"Every man's a slave to something. Figure out what it is and they'll do whatever you say. You should remember the plan. Break in, take out the guards, and beware the eyes." The man with wild green hair activates a teleport rune underneath him and his men. They appear at the cave they were just watching from the rooftop.

As Pearl's soft lips met his own, Arcturus surged forward, knocking them both out of their seats and onto the ground behind him.
"Pearl, you're my everything. I love you more than anything else in the world." he told her as he pulled his mouth away from hers and rested his body on top of hers. "However, I will not take you, yet. I will wait until you go forth against me after your trials, but for now, let's just enjoy eachother."
He continued ravishing Pearl's lips as they switched positions so that Pearl was on top of him.

"It's just...I still resent them, because in the end, I had no choice. Even if I had ran from them when they found me at Arcturus' house, they would have just continued to hunt me down until they were able to drag me back to Shaldra," Elia's face showed a mixture of anger and defeat as she paused to gather her thoughts. "I've been forced to accept life as a prisoner, and I have to pretend I'm someone else. I have to do what they want me to do, and I have to be who they want me to be. And yet, I'm expected to be happy."
This is the first time I've been able to talk about this. Even Arcturus seems to think everything is fine, and that everything is good, and it's not. It's horrible.
"Cordelia hates me. Titus has actually called me Caesaria a few times, which always ends with people trying to cover it up and send me to some other part of the palace. He's obviously losing his mind, even after they had hoped that if I was there it would give him peace of mind, and slow down his mental deterioration. And even though I really do love Jacob, they're pushing me into a relationship I'm not ready for.
I just don't know what to do anymore. I really am just a puppet, I can't even make my own choices. And I'm trapped living like that, because even if I leave they'll always find me and bring me back."

Jet was not amused. "Shut it you three. Sounds like you've got a problem with no solution. But there's always a way out, Even if it is rather drastic at times. Is it all bad though? You enjoy anything about the palace other than who you brought with you?"
Pearl reluctantly separated lips to breathe. "It makes me so happy to hear that! I love you with all my heart too Arcturus. I hope you don't mind waiting." Pearl dropped her lips back onto his as the duel and the world behind her began to drown out.

"I don't mind waiting." He told her just before her lips enveloped his mouth again. "After all, I've done it for a very long time."
Arcturus felt Pearl's tongue connect with his own and lick the inside of his mouth, causing him to slowly tremble with ecstasy. He returned the favor by slathering her invasive tongue with his own.

Pearl couldn't help but moan into his mouth as she felt his tongue penetrate her mouth. She held the kiss for another moment before parting lips and falling to his side. "A few days ago, I was your personal servant and now I'm your wife. Tee Hee, it's going to be strange being introduced as your wife." Rhea signals for the locked in combatants to take another break.

"Well, they won't know that you're my wife, with the exception of my father." he admitted as he turned over to face Pearl and tugged her cheek in a playful manner. "Remember when you used to call him 'beard man'? Anyways, I will request to have you reassigned to my room so we can spend time together in private. Also, as a reminder, we can't be seen kissing or making love in front of the royal family or any civilian, and they can't be allowed to see your ring. We have to be completely alone when we want to spend time with eachother. You know, you're really cute when you moan like that."
Arcturus smiled as he leaned over to rest his head just below Pearl's collarbone before saying a couple more sentences.
"Let's just lie here for now and enjoy life. Just enjoy each other's company as we stay completely still, connected with one another."

Pearl smiled a little as she teased him, "Jam remember Beard Man. Very much laugh. Jam make Master very, how say, pleased with body." She chuckled, holding him closer. Rhea smiled seeing how happy her darling Pearl was. "I guess we can wait awhile you two lovebirds indulge in each other."
Alucard and Tafl returned to their corners with bleeding holes in their chest.

"Not yet, Pearl." Arcturus reminded her as he turned over so that he was on his stomach. "We should do it after your ritual. That way, you will truly be ready."
He then turned back over before sitting up to speak to Rhea.
"When does that part of her ascension start?" He asked as he set his right hand down on Pearl's abdomen and rubbed it gently. "I just want to know how long I have to get ready."

"After she learns to walk on water. The firefly is a strange device our mother built. We're still not sure how it works, but the energy absorbed from it brings out a natural instinct in us. Speaking of the ascension, can you escort her to the mountain outside the lake? Don't worry about the illusion, it will lift when you surface. I'd like to see her off, but I must remain and observe the duel." Rhea extends a map towards Arcturus. Pearl sits up and begins wandering through her own head again. Quickly getting lost.

"Thank you." Arcturus told Rhea as he graciously accepted the map before pulling Pearl up and onto her feet. "So that means tonight? She has to climb the mountain, fight one of you, and then walk on water before dancing with her mother, correct? Also, pardon me if I asked this already, but am I allowed to assist my wife as she undergoes these trials? An answer would help ease my conscience."

"Okay." Arcturus said as he turned to face Pearl and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. "Pearl, let's go."
After several conversations and a few missed turns, Arcturus and Pearl finally made it out of the castle and onto the surface of the lake. Arcturus checked the map that Rhea had given him and grabbed Pearl's arm before hugging her tightly and heading to the mountain that she would climb for her trial.
"Good luck, and I love you!" he called as he gave her a small push to boost her start.
I hope you come back alright.

Is she implying what I think she is when she says there's always something I can do? I think she is.
