After walking through the beautiful forest very few got to see, Pearl stared down the mountain she was suppose to climb. Arcturus gave her a slight push and well wishes to start her journey. She turned around and flashed him the 'peace' sign with her hand before saying, "I'll be right back." and leaving up the mountain. The mountain itself wasn't very tall, but the monsters near the peak were especially dangerous. Pearl found herself breezing through the trail, as if the world around her was going much slower. In a matter of half an hour she was already only a kilometer away from it's peak. All the monsters moved in slow motion compared to her and she made a mad dash to the altar at the top. Inside she noticed a small frozen tear drop, just like she was told. She also noticed a small indentation in the firefly. Figuring the two go together, she placed the tear drop in the stone bracelet. A strange reaction occurred. She found the mist had returned, and that she was no longer at the top, but at the base of the mountain. She turned to the waiting Arcturus and hugged him. "I did it honey! The first part is complete."
Jet talked to Elia as she started patching up Tafl. "I wasn't talking about material goods. You didn't seem like the type to like them. I was talking about maybe company you like or activities that are fun. Besides you're the strongest human girl I've ever met. The last thing I'd expect you to do is take the cowards way out. There I was referring to surviving in the wild. Now would you mind helping me patch his chest?"

Elia spoke as she examined the wound, trying to figure out the best way to treat it.
"I lived in a place so far off the beaten path it's not on any map, and no one besides the people who live there even know it exists. To top it all off, I was in a garden that no one else knew I visited, because it was supposed to be off limits and impossible to get inside. If they found me there, and when I was at Arcturus' house, they'll find me wherever I go. I still don't know how they do it, though."
Despite hating blood and gore, Elia was fine as long as she was healing whatever the injury was. So like all the other times, she worked as quickly as she could to mend the wound. She held one hand a few inches from Tafl's chest, and it glowed brightly as she moved it in the air, slowly closing the wound. With her free hand, she worked on cleaning it and the area around it, just to make sure it wouldn't get infected later on.
"This will take some time. But on the bright side, it should also help relieve pain and re-energize you. Side effects that actually help instead of hurt, only possible with magick," Elia said.
Didn't I run away from home because I was tired of people abusing my powers for stupid reasons like fights like this? But if I have to choose between helping a dragon and a vampire that drinks virgin's blood to heal, I'll help the dragon.

"That warrants some reward." Arcturus told her with a smile as he pulled her in for a kiss. "I think Rhea will be very impressed with your time of 30 minutes."

"Whoa... It seems I've underestimated your abilities." Jet gave Tafl a little healing concoction to speed things up. "You must be something special where you come from. Rhea has a similar ability. Her father was a type-, 1 you said right? She can heal almost any damage inflicted on her in a matter of seconds. She also isn't affected by poison. Well this is the only time I think I'll need your help. They usually don't go for anything fatal." Tafl chuckled seeing the remark as a sign of weakness. "It'll take more than that to put a dragon down."
"Yup. That's why you almost passed out from blood loss." Jet then turns to Elia again, "So you like gardens? We have one above ground you might like. Although to see it, that would require lifting the mist."

Pearl kissed Arcturus back as she felt his lips. "Best reward ever." She nuzzles her head on his shoulder, "Shall we head back?"

"Of course." Arcturus bowed graciously like a nobleman before talking Pearl's hand and heading back into the lake.

Pearl swam down with Arcturus, holding his hand the whole way. They made it back to the castle and she led them to the balcony where Rhea was waiting. She spoke up when her ear was alerted to the footsteps, "That went by pretty quick. Pearl didn't get any help did she?"

Rhea dropped the suspicions in order to hug Pearl. "Well you already did great on your first trial. Layla went to prep the field. Now how about relaxing until the moon comes out? The fights about to start again."
"Yeah! That climb was rough on my hands."

"I don't know about going to see the garden. Let me think about it."
Elia finished closing Tafl's wound, as the potion helped speed things up dramatically. She slowly stood up straighter, knowing better than to try and move quickly after that. Using her magick to heal a wound directly was more efficient for the patient as long as it wasn't herself, but it took much more mana to do correctly. Her eyes showed that she was fairly tired, and that it took a good deal of her mana.
Sometimes I wish I had been born with better mana reserves...
"And to confirm your suspicions, I'm one of maybe two dozen Type-1 mages that are alive in Austur. And that's why I've never been able to live a normal life since finding out about my magick. The things people want a Type-1 to do...not to mention all the sick things some people want to do with one. It seems to really turn some people on."
Elia shivered at the thought, before she sat back down in the same place she had been before.

"Pearl, do you need some rest?" Arcturus asked as he sat down beside her and noticed her slowed breathing. "If so, I can help you out. You can get a full night's sleep in just a few minutes, but I might need a mana potion to keep up the spell."

Jet had a look of abstract horror for a moment, but quickly became composed. "Yeah... The things people are capable of when a girl has special abilities. It can be sickening to experience them." Jet's tone returned to it's normal cool level, "You thirsty? Things might get hotter soon in the third round."
Pearl shook her head, "We have the whole rest of the day, let's enjoy the moment." Her fingers intertwined with his as she lay her head down on his chest.

"We got some." She signaled for one of the singing Nymphs to toss her down a red vial. "It's strawberry flavor. Hope you don't mind."
Pearl blushed as she nodded. "Y-yeah. One of the servants told me. After two people make love, the girl has a baby grow inside of her. W-why do you ask?"
Alucard and Tafl readied themselves for another round, this time a little calmer than before.

"Just making sure." Arcturus smiled as he laid down backwards and placed his hand on Pearl's belly. "I do have a question for you though. I haven't studied nymphs much, so I don't know how their reproduction cycle differs from that of female humans. Basically, I'd like you to tell me how our children are going to be born. After all, if you're pregnant, we might not be able to hide it from my family, so I want to know how to proceed once the time comes."

"Then down the hatch" She hands Elia the drink, not actually feeding it to her.
Rhea answers for the confused Pearl, "Well for one thing it happens faster. It only takes us six months to have a child and in that time we are not allowed to use our water form. We do not go through as many hormonal changes either and the actual birth isn't as painful. But one thing that does remain the same is our breast do grow. For Pearl probably not that much."
Alucard and Tafl stared each other down as they concentrate their power. The ground broke apart a little from the pressure of it all.

Elia began to drink the potion, as she closed her eyes and relaxed. Even with the potion, she still needed to rest for a while.
It's so sad that I'd rather be in a creepy castle ruled by a vampire, surrounded by people whose culture I know nothing about including one nymph that seems to want to take my virginity, than to be at 'home' at the palace.

"That's interesting." Arcturus spoke as he tried to imagine what it would look like if Pearl was pregnant. "However, is it detectable? Like, if a nymph was pregnant, could a human tell if they if the human wasn't familiar with said nymph's standard breast size? I just want to know what Pearl and I are going to do as a family. Living in the palace might not be an option, but I can't afford to lose my studies if I hope to defeat Alucard."

"They'll know the same way you can tell with a human girl. By the big belly." Alucard charged Tafl with glowing eyes and Tafl blocked with a flaming hand. His blood flowed from where the blade connected. Tafl in turn pulled Alucard into his other fist knocking the sword out of his hand. Grinning from the exchange, they both attacked with claws sharp enough to slice through steel.
