"Oh, is that all?" Hamon asks mockingly. "You're basically asking me to find a Unicorn, for as rare and mythical as that is, you know. I mean, an honourable man in Jafet...?"
Hamon lets his criticism hang for a moment. "...I know just the guy. Maybe I could introduce you?"

The battle continued for quite some time. Those that were now away from the main battlefield found themselves with an unstable, but still enjoyable peace after all that had happened. They sat and watched, as beyond the tops of trees, near the peak of the mountain opposite them, the battle continued to rage. In the darkest hours of the night it was easy to see the fires, the flashes of light, the constellation above the battlefield that shone with a haunting light, as if in response to the sorrowful scene below. As for the battle itself, neither fighter was willing to give up, or even able to do so. The battle was a stalemate, and it was easy to see that once it finally did end, if they didn't die, they would be on the very brink of death.
With the arrival of dawn, the girl seemed to weaken. Taking advantage of the opportunity, the vampire Alucard began to cast a frightening spell. He called it Judgment. The girl had nearly collapsed by that point, all traces of the great power she had held just minutes before now gone. But she was herself again. So when she saw someone she thought she loved, and knew he would not survive Alucard's last attack, she did something stupid out of compassion. Alucard already knew what she was going to do, and mocked her, telling her of all the wrongs that were committed by the one she so wished to protect. Alucard told her with great certainty of how he had betrayed her as well, and what his plans were, while also proving what he said was the truth by telling her details that no one else but herself and Jacob should have known. She knew he could use type-4 magick, and he proved that was exactly what he had done to learn those secrets. Nevertheless, she was in denial, and of course no one would want to believe they had been betrayed by the person they had trusted the most. So with what strength she had left she ran to his side, and shielded him, taking the most devastating part of the attack without any way to protect herself as her magick failed.
The battle ended in a large flare of light from both the sun and from type-1 magick used by Alucard. The force of it destroyed the rest of the already crumbling building and burnt the plants that had just regrown. After it was all over, the destruction was like something only seen in a person's worst nightmares. Alucard disappeared while all the others were still blinded from all the light.
There was a scramble afterwards to find the living, though no one looked in the rubble that had once been a beautiful palace, and then a sanctuary for the few who still remembered and believed the old tales. It was too easy to see that it was a lost cause. All that was left was to go on, and to salvage what they could. The group from the Cleatian palace departed as quickly as they could, trying to save their own who had been injured or nearly killed. As different groups went different ways, one thing was clearly the same between them; the all wanted to leave that place, and never come back.

"So what happened next?" Baron asked rather impatiently. Mary slapped Baron for interrupted and scolded him in a motherly tone. " Naughty boy I thought I raised you better then to interrupt people when they were speaking?" Mary told Baron.
"Anyways after lunch your dad wanted ask me a couple things in the alleyway where he confronted me," Mary said. "He asked if I know what he was? and am I afraid that he would kill me?" Mary told Baron. "Well mom were you scared of him?" Baron asked kinda of confused. "Well when that showoff was done going over his little speech I just snorted and chuckled which caught him off guard," Mary said. "He was confused by what I did and I just replied that if you were going go kill me you would have done it already," Mary told the stranger in response. "Afterwards we parted ways because he was looking for some owl or something I forget what his name was," Mary said to Baron. "So what happened after that Mom?" Baron asked right before his mom slapped him again.
" So impatient, anyways I would see him around the city more and more throughout the months and well," Mary said while starting to trail off. " You see the talks would become less about the owl he was searching for and more about me and him," Mary said. "Slowly, we began to fall in love with one another and well one day......," Mary said. "Wait what happened...?" Baron asked as he tried to catch himself but it was too late.
"Well Mr. Nosey if you really want to know we went to a local inn where the two of us could be alone," Mary said with a wink. "Well one thing lead to another and well I learned a lot from him and things I can't wait to share with you," Mary told Baron. Mary would describe the following events in detail as Baron just sat there dumbfounded about what he was hearing. " Mom do you really have to go that much in depth its just I am at a lost for words," Baron said flabbergasted. "Sh naughty son you are an adult now and besides if you want Catie to be happy you will need to know these things," Mary said in a chiding nature while winking. "So anyways what happened afterwards, why did you guys break up?" Baron asked . "Well things got complicated, Mary said as she started to talk about what happened afterwards.

Well it all began that one fateful day," Mary said while she began . You want me to do what?" Mary said shocked about what she heard. "I don't know about becoming a vampire seems like an awfully big decision," Mary said deep in thought. "Besides I don't know how it will affect my family, friends and... ," Mary said. Before I could finish saying I was pregnancy your dad took off without another word," Mary said gazing towards the sky. and that's the last I saw of him, Mary told Baron with a look of longing in her eyes.
So that bastard abandoned you for no good reason all because you weren't ready to become a vampire?" Baron said as he began to gaze towards the sky. "Just so you know he never knew I was pregnant with you so maybe it could have been different," Mary said. " it wasn't that simple it was like he was heart broken that I rejected his offer," Mary said. "Would you have turned eventually, mom? Bar asked. "That's a tough to say I would been happy to be with him for the rest of time," Mary said. "Yet to see everyone you love age right before you and they eventually pass away honestly I don't know," Mary said.
"Anyways time passed and I was just going on with my life of being a single mom," Mary told Baron. "Until one day a black cat Sam I think his name is showed up with a letter from your dad," Mary said in response. "What did it say?" Baron asked out of curiosity. "I don't know apparently Sam lost the key to opening it some type of magic seal and I couldn't open it without it," Mary said.
"Wait a letter?" Baron asked in shock. "Yeah a letter, if you go to our old house it should still be there," Mary told Baron as she began to start blinking. "Maybe you will have better luck with it then me," Mary said as she noticed that she was fading. "Looks like its almost time to wake up sweety," as Mary began to fade. "Mom will I see you again? Baron asked beginning to tear up. "Of course silly I will be around you really think that the world tree sapling's magic is that weak," Mary said as she was starting to become dimmer. "Mom one more thing what's my dads name?" Baron asked. "Helel," Mary said as she faded away from Barons sight.
All Baron could do was weep at what he heard as the sun began to rise and Baron opened his eyes. "So my dad has a name and I have a clue on how to find him," Baron said rather excitedly.

As soon as Baron went to stand he felt a sudden weakness wash over his body and he fell back into bed waking Sam. "Great every time mom shows up I am going to get a nice dose of holy magic," Baron said as he saw Sam looking at him. "What happened?" Sam asked. "Well I met my mom in my dream only to find out that she has kinda of been reborn," Baron told Sam who perked up and started to pay attention. "Yeah apparently when I was making a pact with Van the tree tapped into my heart and in my dreams mom speaks to me," Baron told Sam was he was getting over the weakness. "Oh what did she say?" Sam asked sheepishly. " How her and my dad met," Baron replied while looking at Sam. "By the way we are heading home as soon as I recover my strength," Baron told Sam. "What's so special about that p!ace?" Sam asked out of curiosity. "Nothing much just that I will find a letter from a person named Helel that you were suppose to deliver but lost a magical seal," Barron told Sam. After Sam heard what baron said he just glared away and an awkward silence filled the air
"So she told you about him?" Sam said while gazing towards the ceiling. "Why did you not tell me about him?" Baron asked Sam rather upset. "What was there to say I screwed up really bad and I was scared," Sam told Baron. " Scared of what?" Baron demanded from Sam. "I was scared at what he would do to me for losing such a valuable item," Sam gold Baron. "The fact that a disciple of the great Helel couldn't handle the simple task of delivering a letter of all g***** things," Sam hissed in disgust. "But what about me, what about the fact I never got a chance to meet him because of you being scared," Baron lashed out towards Sam. "Thanks to you he doesn't even know I am alive and that mom has been dead for ages," Baron said rather upset. "What do you want me to say sorry?" Sam said lashing back. "I just had to deliver a letter to the woman that he loved saying that he loved her still and please forgive me that the task of delivering a letter was too much to ask," Sam said while starting to tear up. "Please you don't know how long I lived with that guilt of knowing that I screwed up so much for everyone, because of one lousy forsaken moment," Sam said nows rather upset.
"I appreciate everything you did for me but right now," Baron said getting up. "I understand the guilt and pain you must have endured but right now I just need some time to think," Baron said making his way to the door. "We leave at dawn tomorrow and we are going to meet Helel whether you like it or not," Baron said closing the door behind him. "Sigh, it was bound to happen sooner or later but I really don't want to go back but I guess its time to answer for my mistake, but who knows what's going to happen?" Sam said curling up next tom Catie.

"How ya holding up my gold hoarder?" Rhea helps Tafl to his feet. Every movement felt heavy and unpleasant for him. She starts to dust him off when he clutches his left arm. Broken she figures.
"I can... *huff* *huff*... manage.. this much. *huff* What's *huff* going... on... out there?" Rhea smashes her fist into her hand. Anger was her foremost emotion; anger she wanted to relieve with a beating.
"He hurt her. I'm going to- Huh?" Rhea felt a disturbance in the river causing her to turn back. The water level rose unnaturally fast. The rumble of an approaching flood prompted Rhea to ignore her emotions and act on instinct. Slinging him over her back, she runs. Have to get to higher ground. Can't stay here. Still too low. Aw to hell with it. Even running to the hills with her speed wouldn't be enough. She knew that. Getting closer to the top she decide to just throw him the rest of the way. He'd survive. And she could swim. --- "Hmm, cut down you say? Because I'm in chains you think something so simple would suffice?" Alucard began to emit an overwhelming flow of darkness. The light snuffed it out at first, but eventually the two forces were too great to withstand each other and went off like an antimatter bomb. His blood bound his body together like glue as the multiple bleeding ruptures quickly sealed. "Let me show you something from this pantheon. Something truly frightening. In my day we called it Drinn's malice, and I'll use it to rip the light straight out of your soul!" Pressure amounted in the area. It instantly was overbearing; however, it did not last long. Crashing rapids from the nearby river flooded the monastery and swept both combatants off their feet. The water rose high enough to drag them under and pushed hard enough to force them forward 50 meters. When the flood receded all the fainted nymphs were gone. In their place stood an alluring woman covering half her face with a Shiruyan fan. Her extravagant arua announced her name to them. Her voice announced her plans.
"My daughters and I will be exiting this little bout of yours. With my promise fulfilled they have no more ties to him and no reason to fight. I'll also be taking back one of the dead... You can come out now. I know you're there." Two hands rip out from six feet down under. Naoki emerges. They meet again to a mutual respect.
"Your burial site has been waiting for many years."
"I do not deserve it." He replies stoically. "I have abandoned my duties in pursuit of lust and shamed my families honor."
"Hmph. Foolish man. Death has already absolved your guilt and these two won't wait forever." He bows and quickly follows her.
As they leave she turns to speak with Alucard. "Oh and before I forget, If you survive this bloody night vampire, take your castle and leave the place of my birth. Try your best to never see me again." The pair walks off into the night. Alucard smiles.
If I didn't still have her to deal with, I'd deal with you now. But fate tends to be a ***** so I must conserve some energy. "Well then Spirit of Mana, where were we?" --- "Great Melkor's Beard, this isn't how flying works woman!" Tafl cried in pain. Rhea braced for the impact of the flood. Cut me some slack I was under pressure. She shifts into her water form absorbing the brunt force and redirecting the remainder to lift her off the ground. With much of her strength, she swims against the flow of the flood to where her dragon is falling. He plummets in succumbing to the rapids force. The flood turns him into a projectile weapon pushing Rhea back into the river's flow. Spotting a tree she reacts and holds on with her spare hand until the flood recedes. Tafl coughs up water and blood as he falls to his knees. That and a highly flammable substance in his saliva.
"What was that!? Rivers don't just- ohhh..."
"Yeah... I guess that means mom is nearby." Rhea strained her hair to remove some of the excess water. With virtually no results of course.
"Rhea darling?" Nivian called out as she approached "Good. You're still here. I need a favor from you two."
"What is it mommy dearest?" Rhea took off her boots to drain the water from them. And her inefficiently designed armor didn't really have the room to retain any so she was as dry as she was gonna get for the time being. "Are you going to ask me to beat him to a pulp? Because I already plan-"
"Just the opposite." Nivian interrupted to Rhea's disappointment. "Go fetch your sisters. We're leaving."
"B-but mom! We can take him now! With her on our side-"
"Who exactly is on our side? She could not care less about us you know. And besides, *sigh*, times are changing. It's such a drag, but there's no point fighting the tides. Pearl has to learn now, so she can control it later. So would you two kindly help me out and go retrieve the rest of our little family?"
Tafl struggled raising his hand to protest. "I'm not really in any condition to provide cargo transport..."
"Have Cream take care of it. Rhea you carry him." Nivian places a light peck on both their foreheads before heading off with her zombie. "Hugs and kisses, see you soon, alll my love and the like. Take the forest for cover."
Rhea turns to Tafl who collapsed on her shoulder. "You can lean on me partner. Just don't let any dragon drool get on me." --- "Silly head, that's my husband. If you stabbed him he'd bleed." Pearl smiled thoughtlessly.. err that is to say more so than usual. Within seconds gravity reasserts itself and she lays next to Arcturus on the ground.
"I know! That's the point Pearl. Then Cream can make another bunny!" Shinedown exclaimed with vigor.
"Speaking of me..." Cream whispered, "Can someone please get me off this tree?" Her cape was caught in between several branches leaving her dangling.
Wha-Wha landed with Hamon on top of her in a presumptuous display. "Well I usually don't take this position with guys, but why not? Show me this unicorn and I'll reward you handsomely."
Pearl just started singing out of nowhere as Shinedown left to go help Cream, "~Once there was this girl who Wouldn't go and change with the girls in the change room But when they finally made her They saw birthmarks all over her body She couldn't quite explain it They'd always just been there
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm~" ---

For a moment, something seemed to slip and a conflicted look crossed Elia's face, and she pressed one hand against her forehead as if to repress some thoughts in order to regain composure and make up for whatever had slipped, likely concentration, or self-control... Perhaps a different sort of control altogether? There was briefly some defiance in her eyes, then it turned into exhaustion, and finally vanished, leaving no trace of that momentary change in demeanor.
"An ancient one such as you should know the rules of this world. Mana and magick belong not to my own immortal spirit; they have been lent to me by this frail and mortal body."
As she finished that statement, she vanished in a burst of light and reappeared in a nearby garden, preparing for when Alucard would inevitably do the same and the battle would resume.

"And still your light shines so brightly. It must have been blinding for me to miss it." The ground underneath Elia begins to sink as storm clouds gather above. Alucard rides a wave of force at mach speeds towards the flower field. The ground underneath Elia bounces back up, launching her in his direction to get caught by a back breaker. An arc of lightning discharges from the clouds hitting them both. He grits his teeth enduring the unusual pain. He quickly overcomes the paralysis throwing Elia into the air. He then begins charging a massive sphere of energy that expands quickly. "To think I used to follow such weakness. You're exactly the reason why there are no saviors!" --- Mist, Alto and Van Halen all came through another portal in front of Wha-Wha and Hamon. Van Halen was still leaning on Alto for support. He looked severely weakened and had a vacant expression. Wha-Wha turned around mid-way from hearing Hamon's response to talk with Mist.
"Sheesh, what's up with those two?" Mist replies rather directly.
"Well she's been out of her element all night. Probably has something to do with finding out one of her lovers is an evil bastard. Him, well, you know about him."
"Oh... Oh, right. I kinda forgot this whole thing revolved around his super powered dark side. Must've been pretty interesting down there when that flood hit."
"Just mom taking us home. Speaking of home, what about those two?" Wha-Wha turned her head away from Hamon again to look at the singing Pearl.
"Eh, they'll probably have to separate for a while. I know they won't like it, but it's for the best. Especially since Jam can't take him with her."
"It's for the best." Mist echoed. --- Pearl continued humming for awhile laying down next to her Arcty-pie. Although for no apparent reason she got up and changed the tune. "~Fly me to the moon and Let me play among the stars Let me see what spring is like On Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand In other words, darling , kiss me~"

Unable to do anything else, a barrier appeared to shield Elia from Alucard's attacks. As long as the barrier stayed in place, she had time to heal. Using every bit of strength she had, she kept the barrier in place, and Alucard was unable to destroy it. She didn't need to heal completely, only to recover just enough so she could move again and continue the fight. Judging by the stars overhead, dawn wasn't too far away, but the constellation that enhanced her magick, and sadly some of Alucard's as well, was about to be directly above them in the sky.
That could only mean one thing: the battle was about to enter a bitter and destructive stalemate.

"Hm? Which unicorn are we talking about here, exactly?" Hamon asks Wha-Wha slyly, chuckling. "I kid, of course. Learned my lesson with your type a long time ago. By my standards, anyway. I can take you right to the noble beast himself, in say... a couple weeks? I still have something that needs to be done around here."

After seeing his energy bomb blocked by her shield, Alucard switched tactics. He started using type-5 magik to mutate the flowers into gigantic monstrosities lifting him up to the recovering and shielded Elia. "For one so deprived of love to be loved by so many When your possessed by murderous hatred that against yourself you conspire Seeking to ruin what once was considered sacred which to repair should be your chief desire Whom cannot change her thought so I may change my mind, I wish upon thee to suffer my hatred! Burn the witches evil, Holy Flames!" Alucard used this spell knowing full well it had no effect on Elia, instead casting it on the mutated plants he imbued with type-2 magik. He shone like a morningstar with an intense heat. In a matter of seconds the field and the forest were set ablaze in an epic sight. All except the roses. He spun the flames from the flowers into a magnificent beast. Then the roses grew taller than the rest of the flowers shining with holy protection. The thorns all faced Elia and Alucard grinned. "I don't need to break that shield. Waves cancel waves. Light matches light." The giant thorns on the monstrous roses emitted light beams focused on the shield. Alucard thrust his hand forward signaling the Beast to strike.
"Oh **** me how do you create this much fire that fast!?" Rhea tried picking up the pace through the forest, but it didn't seem like enough. The smoke kept building in front of her. Even the mist obscured her path. Wait, Mist? One instance smoke. The next big tree. Right to the face. Rhea crashed into the great oak tree overlooking the battle with the rest of the gang. Cream immediately rushed to Taffy's aide and stepped on Rhea's stomach. --- Pearl turned to the fire then back to Arcturus, "What was that one for silly?" --- Wha-Wha smiled slyly at Hamon "The Unicorn that can satisfy my needs of course. A few weeks is fine. Hell, maybe you can even end up being one of my researchers by then."

"If the research happens in this position, then I might just have time to stick around for a while..." Hamon smiles back at Wha-Wha before leaning in a little closer to look into her eyes -- as opposed to where he had previously been looking. "That being said, I intend to remain a free agent."
He leaps off of her, having the wind glide him back to his feet. His cloak billows in its trail momentarily as he turns his back, but it falls flat a moment later. Leaning his head over to look at her, he waves goodbye quite casually.
"Since you seem to be the better traveler, you can find me to set up the time and place. No warning needed, of course. I'm never decent anyway."
