... To stealing, hoarding, and raiding! Welcome young hatchling! In this handy dandy little guide, you will learn all you need to know to live your life to the fullest!
Now, not all hatchlings have parents to raise and shelter them... So in case you're one of those poor unfortunate dragons, you can learn everything you need to know here! First, we have the stages of life. There are 7 Stages in a dragon's very long life. The more a dragon learns and eats and collects, the more a dragon grows. Eventually, the dragon will undergo a rather dramatic change: this is called advancing in one's Life, or simply Advancement. A dragon will become stronger or faster, or sometimes even both. Your very appearance may change, young dragon! Of course, you can always cancel the Advancement, if you don't feel you're ready.
1. Hatchling
2. Youngling
3. Young Adult
4. Adult Dragon
5. Elder Dragon
6. Great Dragon
7. Sage Dragon
There is also a secret, 8th Stage, though no one knows what it is... Maybe you'll be the one to discover this secret Life Stage! Other things may change as you grow as well, young dragon. For example, when a dragon becomes a Young Adult, he or she is often concerned with finding their Life Partner... Oh wait! What am I saying?! You're far too young to learn about that yet! The Dragons and the Clouds talk will come much later, okay?
Now, do you know what kind of dragon you are? You don't?! *Le gasp!* You can't hope to enjoy your Life if you don't even know what kind of dragon you are! Here, because I'm a nice guidebook, I'll tell you all about the known types of dragons.
The Earth Dragon: A very large dragon who doesn't enjoy flying that much. They love dark, damp places and often make their homes in mountains or underground caverns. Earth Dragons are known for their very tough rocky scales and large horns. They tend to be very grumpy.
Best Attribute: Defense
Worst Attribute: Speed
Breath: Sandstorm. The Earth Dragon unleashes a massive blast of concentrated sand, dirt, and rock. Has a chance to blind the opponent.
The Fire Dragon: Large dragons who really love roasting sheep with marshmallows. They often live in volcanoes. They have fiery red, sometimes even molten scales, and others have even developed metal like scales. They tend to have very bad breath.
Best Attribute: Attack and Defense
Worst Attribute: Health
Breath: Wretched Flame. A powerful blast of toxic fire that is both poisonous and hot. Really, really, really hot. It has a chance to poison or burn.
The Water Dragon: Slender, beautiful serpents who reside in the rivers and oceans. Most are benevolent and love to help people, though some prey on Pirate Ships and Trade Ships. There are more female Water Dragons than males, though if you ask any Water Dragon why, they get very mad. Water Dragons also have the most varying appearances out of any of the dragons, you know. They are very fast and tend to love music.
Best Attribute: Speed
Worst Attribute: Defense
Breath: Tsunami. A giant stream of high pressure water. When used underwater, it is much stronger, and results in a tidal wave.
The Sky Dragon: Rare, majestic dragons who make their homes high in the sky. Some even live in floating castles! Not much is really known about these majestic beasts, but they do seem to possess a very strong sweet tooth.
Best Attribute: Health and Attack
Worst Attribute: Defense
Breath: Mega Flare. A gigantic laser-like beam of energy that reduces everything to ashes. This Breath does not have an element.
The Elemental Dragon: When a Fire Dragon and a Water Dragon love each other very much... Well, you get the idea! Elemental dragons can take after either their mother or father, or sometimes both. They can live in both fiery volcanoes AND deep oceans.
Best Attribute: Attack and Defense
Worst Attribute: None
Breath: Steam Cyclone. A monstrous whirlwind of heated water that burns even hotter than flame. Has a very high chance to burn. This Breath has both the Water and Fire Element.
The Dim Sum Dragon: Extremely rare dragons who like to wear meat buns on their head... Yum! Sounds tasty!
Best Attribute: Health
Worst Attribute: Attack
Breath: Malt Vinegar. A steaming hot blast of smelly, concentrated cooking oil and vinegar. Has a chance to turn you into a Stinky Dragon! Stinky Dragons cannot use Dragon Real Estate(Zark is very big on personal hygiene) and any contract or deal with humans automatically fails. No one likes a Stinky Dragon! The effect wears off after three days. Providing you bathe regularly, of course.
The Hydra: A serpentine dragon that is very hard to kill... Because it can regrow its own head! Isn't that neat?! But they aren't very good at flying...
Best Attribute: Health, Attack, Defense
Worst Attribute: Speed
Breath: Explosion. The Hydra screams so loudly it manifests into a giant shockwave, turning nearby structures and landmarks into rubble. The attack itself causes little physical harm, but it disorients and stuns any dragon unfortunate enough to hear it, leaving them vulnerable to potential damage from the collapsing landscape and follow up attacks.
The Collector Dragon: A gold dragon who loves his gold... They live to hoard, and no one hoards like them. If you can't resist picking up shiny things on the ground, and you love to nibble on your own tail, then you might be a Collector!
Best Attribute: None
Worst Attribute: None
Breath: Golddust Cloud. A cloud of gold smoke and a hail of golden coins. It's so shiny! Has a chance to blind and stun.
The Forest Dragon: Dragons who live in deep, dark woods, and have long spiky tails... They are known far and wide for their love of two things: masks and Sake! They're also called Ninja Dragons.
Best Attribute: Speed
Worst Attribute: Defense
Breath: Sake Storm. An intoxicating combination of concentrated wine, bad breath, and poison. It has a high chance to poison, blind, disorient, or make you Stinky! Ouch! Thankfully, the Breath itself isn't that powerful.
There are also many, many more kinds of dragons yet to be discovered! What kind of dragon will you become? Will you be a very bad dragon? Will you be a solitary dragon who only wants to hoard the greatest treasures from across the land? Will you be a dragon who roasts sheep or fish? Will you capture the world's most beautiful princess and hold her for ransom? Only you can decide!
After all, it's your Dragon Life!
