Alright, so your reasoning totally makes sense, and I like the clever stuff you're doing with the votes and the mechanics. Let's have some B.

I wrote that post roughly around 6 hours ago. I checked before I started writing, wrote it, then found that the votes changed. So I added the clarification to the front.I stopped for dinner and only got around to submitting it later. If it made a difference, I would have changed it, but since the difference between doors and windows is essentially aesthetic, I didn't see the reason to edit it.
Why would I put two options which are virtually the same? To conceal the option that isn't the same.
In the future, I'll try to remember to put the voting's closed post when I start writing.

Hint: RR Danae 5
I just feel nice. You in no way need to solve this, but it would probably be helpful some point in the near future if you did.

How could I leave without saying goodbye?
Wow, has it been a week? Sorry about that, I needed a little bit of a break. Sometimes things like that happen unexpectedly. You don't here about it until afterwards. A bit backwards, don't you think? --- Reluctantly, you turn around and climb right back out the window. You need to get Archer before you can move forward; he does, after all, know what you're looking for. Shutting the window behind you, you drop silently back onto the street, wincing as the cobblestones dig into your bare feet. With a sigh, you creep back the way you came to the alley you left Archer.
Luckily, Archer stands right where you left him, coat folded neatly beside him, set carefully on top of a garbage can. Slung over his shoulder is his rifle, and on his hip, a pistol, as well as what appears to be a screwdriver. Before you can give it a more thorough examination, Archer waves to you, eyes piercing through the darkness. "That didn't take to long. I was sure I'd be waiting here half the- what happened to you? And where are your shoes?"
"I don't want to talk about it, you growl. Archer shrugs, not pursuing the subject. "We don't have anymore time to waste," you continue, "stay quiet, and keep close." Without another word, you step back into the shadows, ready to make your way back to the Willow's Lisp. You hear Archer behind you, whose boots, despite his best effort at stealth, scuff the cobblestones with every step. You grimace, expecting to get caught by a patrol any minute, but luckily, you come across no one. Soon, you're back at the Tavern. Not wasting time, you quickly scamper up the side of the building to the window and peek inside. You still see no one. Slipping inside, you set your grappling hook into the window sill, letting the rope drop to the ground outside. As you let Archer climb up, you take another look around the tavern.
A) search the upper floor B) search the lower floor C) search the trap door D) examine (noun)
Let's mad lib it up in here >=D Hint. That hint would be useful right about now.
I feel a bit bad about being gone for a week, and having a relatively uneventful update (it happens sometimes). Anyway, I have a hint.
Hi.

I refuse to solve this puzzle. My blind stumbling will work. A, it's closest to the exit, and the trap door's risky.
