Am I the only one who doesn't remember why cloaks are necessary for corridors of darkness?

They stop the darkness from eating you as you use the corridor.

Well, the tiers wouldn't be that big.
Bishops are about 8-12 people I guess, the Clerics are 7-20 (depending on how many sorcerers are used), the Priests are mostly recruited/sympathetic humans, and the Laity is basically just the malformed Nobodies.

Now that you're giving the go-to for the uniforms, I'm starting to hate the basic one that I made.

Couldn't we just shroud ourselves with magic, or keep cloaks in small packs for when we need to go through corridors? I just know there's got to be alternate ways.

Nobodies would be using them all the time.
Doug, are you planning on being a Nobody? I don't want there to be too many, and I've already fully developed a full backstory, complete with a non-Keyblade weapon (since he's not a Keyblade wielder), lore, and tons of research.

Oh, HHD, are there Emblem Heartless?

Fun fact, I have absolutely NO plans at this time. Though the group of Nobodies sounds like a fun place to end up. I dunno. Still confident there's some other way to go about the corridor thing.

Well, the Organization uses Corridors of Darkness, and the Empty House would probably use them too, but there are other ways of travel, like gummi ships, Corridors of light, a Star Shard, a Keyblade Glider, and Teleporation.

Anyways, I like the idea of the Empty House being staggered.
I'm only using religious terms, and it won't be like that. Will you be writing for Moran since I bet that you have some master scheme in mind?
Okay, just think of the Empty House like a giant soupkitchen/library or a small town. Remember, all sorts of Nobodies will be there.

I'll use a Keyblade Glider. Unless that is hero locked only, because it requires armor, but I could make it so that Mark's cloak transforms into the equivalent of it while retaining its cloak look?

Hold on, wouldn't Nobodies not need to use the cloaks?
Frequent use of the Corridors of Darkness corrupts the heart, but Nobodies don't have hearts.

I'll withhold my opinion on uniforms since that part doesn't really matter to me. And the staggering is fine, as long as we keep the bishop count small, like around 5-6. Right now we have exactly 1 person deciding to be a hero and unless they want to play Sora then we should keep the number of Org XIII level people down.
And I'll write for Moran, yep. I just need to think of...everything besides a name. Usually the name is the last thing I think of when creating a character, this is an odd reversal.

Hold on, wouldn't Nobodies not need to use the cloaks? Frequent use of the Corridors of Darkness corrupts the heart, but Nobodies don't have hearts. But Nobodies will regrow hearts, allowing the darkness to corrupt those hearts.

And for once I don't have an explanation. I know Riku wore one so others couldn't detect the "stench of darkness" on him in KH2, so maybe it was also for subterfuge? So Roxas wakes up one day and thinks "Hold on. We don't have hearts but this cloak protects our hearts? OMG MY LIEF IZ A LIE!!!1!!"

Also, it could make for an interesting plot mechanic. Wouldn't they feel their heart once they get one anyways?

Also, it could make for an interesting plot mechanic. Wouldn't they feel their heart once they get one anyways? They'll start feeling again, but likely because it's so subtle at first they won't believe it. And a few times of coming into contact with darkness won't effect them? Tell that to MX, who only became crazy obsessed with darkness after venturing into the Lanes Between without his armor a few times. Now, true corruption? Yeah, it's extremely unlikely. But an unhealthy preoccupation with darkness? Very, very, very likely. And that would not be good for our characters. So, if they like never use the Corridors of Darkness or Lanes Between? Yeah, they'll probably be fine. But since most characters will use those methods of travel frequently, they need some sort of protection from darkness.

Corridors of Darkness are much safer than the Lanes Between.
But most characters could use Keyblade Armor or a Gummi Ship, or Corridors of Light.
Sora used Corridors of Darkness multiple times and was fine.
Plus, the feelings would hit them like a brick wall. They'd start feeling guilt, sadness, and anger. They'd know.
And again, plot mechanic.
